Macross doesn't start getting REALLY interesting until around the 12th episode. Thats not to say the first 12 episodes aren't good. They just lack the sheer entertainment and insanity the later episodes bring. |

| I know Hikaru is a very good pilot but how the hell did he know how to automatically maneuver his plane in zero gravity, previous space training experience? Sheer talent? Besides, is that vehicle a spacecraft in the first place? I have to hand it to Hikaru and Minmay to laugh their troubles away. XD |

| They did what? This show is crazy, but fun. Another crack piloting out of Hikaru and a lot of fools luck. They keep getting out of trouble to more trouble, though. Macross just lost another set of engines. But not before jumping to the back of beyond... If earlier there was no chance of winning, now survival itself seems doubtfull. |

Anyway, yes, this show's crack-headed disregard for logic and the kooky, somewhat backwards 1970's sensibility of certain cast members is charming and fucking hilarious in equal measures. Another insane, impossible escape for Hikaru and Minmay - this time they somehow maneuver an airplane in deep space. Again, crack-headed (and amazing). Oh, and on top of that, the fold system has disappeared! Now there's a twist. (Even though they just transported an entire island next to Pluto?) This show is nuts, and I love it. I guess I must be the only one in to Hikaru then. I find him refreshingly human. His thoughts on war and his apprehension towards violence make him a fascinating lead character. |

| The disregard for physics here is really something else. Also the facial animation in this is really bad. Eyeballs slide around from shot to shot like their air hockey pucks. |

| Enjoying this so far! Spoiled myself with Do You Remember Love before I watched this, but now I CERTAINLY know to stick with the show! heh I like Minmay. Also really love the design of the mechs. |

| All that ice would have freaked me out so bad! It scared me just seeing it on the screen! It really brings out the loneliness and isolation of space. Now Hikaru and Minmay are trapped alone, but they have each other; it's kinda romantic. I wish that he didn't treat her like a kid the whole time. The captain is a very human character compared with how a captain is usually portrayed in a lot of media. Him lighting the pipe was because he needed to calm his nerves. I didn't expect any of this stuff with Pluto and getting lost in space. |

| Finally got started on that Macross train and I'm liking it quite a bit so far. Only problem is that the animation seems to be a bit choppy at parts and the subtitles aren't working very well about 5% of the time on Prime. Still I'd take this series over something like Astra: Lost in Space any day of the week tbh |
| This show is stupid and yet so genius, I love it. They really got bamboozled by Space Fold system. Will be a long trip for sure. I also find Hikaru's and Minmay's reactions to things hilarious. | I just looked up Focker's seiyuu, he played so many iconic roles! Even Kenshiro! He called Hayase "obaachan" lmao Minmay squeak during the launch with Hikaru xD That "fold" really gives me some Yamato flashbacks. But they teleported an entire island with them! :o Captain global finally started smoking after he left the bridge xD |
