Completely spoke my mind.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

Poor and loved, no amount of store bought cuddles can make up for cuddles with love.
Yeah, it'd be nice to survive on cuddles, but the world isn't nice like that.

I'm weirdly surprised at the lack of "love conquer.s........all!!!:" responses

but yeah rich and alone. a lifetime of general disdain for constant companionship has prepared me for this choice

Being poor and loved only works if you are an optimist.

Need money to survive in this world, I don't mind being alone although it'd be nice to have at least a person to talk to at times.

You'll be rich but alone, everyone that wants to know you is for the money you have. You do have family but they're vicious snakes that take every opportunity to end your life so they can inherit the fortunes for themselves.

Poor but loved, you live in a poor neighbourhood, a rundown house, but you have a loving family. problem is, there's no jobs going around. To put food on the table you have turned to crime and your partner prostitutes themselves to feed the children and to prevent them from doing the same.

These are the situations, which of these would you rather live in?

That's some fucked up love when your partner is a prostitute. Also I could never be happy with having to turn to crimes to make a living.

I'd definately rather be rich and alone. I'd move to avoid the "vicious snakes" or hire Golgo 13 as a last resort.

Well first off, if I knew my love was prostituting herself (having sex with other males that I do not even know) then that relationship wouldn't even last long anyways.
And besides, the number one reason for divorces is because of financial reasons.

Meanwhile, in your rich situation, not everyone you'll ever meet will be like that. Yeah, there'll be those that "love" you for your money and your family might be assholes, but again, not everyone will be like that. I have my own lover right now and if I were to suddenly get rich it's not like that would change anything. Hell, might make things better because we can live better together.

Both examples are shitty. Rather be rich.

Poor and loved.

Though money can help you to get whatever you want, you can't pay people to love you.

I'm already rich and alone. It's not that bad, and you can make meager/short-lived connections with people to pass the time and/or fill the void.
It's natural for a person to deny he's a failure as a human being. That's why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That's why so much animosity exists on the internet. Those who aren't able to find a more miserable person, turn to the internet and call other people losers, even though they've never met. Just to make themselves feel superior. isn't that pathetic? There's a sense of security that comes from speaking badly of someone else. But that isn't true salvation. — Tatsuhiro Satou
