Some decent symbolism and artwork but way too short imo. Oh well...

It was kinda sad at the end that they didn't end up together :<

For what is only a 12-page oneshot, this wasn't so bad, really. The artwork might not exactly be what one would call stunning, but its backstory (the flashback) definitely makes up for that shortcoming. The hidden symbolism, subtle yet very apparent.

A story like this does not need any words to convey a certain message or emotion to its readers. A simple expression is more than sufficient and will leave a much bigger impact than just about any verbal message could.

Only its length bungles the potential of what could have probably been a compelling coming-of-age drama featuring lots of flashbacks, parting, reunion, and of course, true love.
"No matter how wonderful a memory is, there comes a time when you have to move on and start living in the present. Dwelling on past happiness doesn't bring true happiness. You don't need to fill your arms with happy memories from the past. There's plenty of happiness right in front of you. Just reach out and grab it. I want us to look towards the future together." --- Yaya Hanatsu
