What Anime do you like even though it's generally considered pretty bad overall by most people or just got that trashy feel to it?

My guilty pleasure is Strange Dawn which I really liked watching for some reason... And currently Gokukoku no Brynhildr, very trashy and rather bad animated with stereotype characters and a very sketchy story. I still like it though :D

SAO and Guilty Crown. I just really enjoyed them.

Actually, most of the anime on my list with a high rating.

Strike The Blood. I tend to avoid cliche shonen anime and I hate protagonists that are utterly dense, stupid and overpowered. However, I have a soft spot for the girls.

how i consider an anime is more important than how "it's considered", but my answer has to be Ishida to Asakura or Piano;
its because many people give low ratings to school anime; "that trashy feel" never came to me

Toriko. It's a silly anime, but it's fun to watch. I think people hate on it because it's heavily censored compared to the manga. But Great Teacher Onizuka is another heavily censored anime that is unfaithful to the manga, and look how high it ranks on MAL.

Fairy Tail. I know there's lots of fanservice and pretictable story arcs but still love the classic nakama powers even though I do get irritated at it sometimes. But I can't help loving the huge cast of characters, the world and the story even for it's faults. It's just so damn enjoyable.
Other guilty pleasures...well I did watch through all the sailor moon series a few years back...even though I was way over the target demographic.

Maybe Non Non Biyori too. I mean, it isn't "bad" by any means, but the rewatch value is pretty low. I find myself throwing on a random episode pretty regularly when I'm trying to fall asleep.

Though there is no guilt involved.

Nisekoi. The story and characters are rather shallow and it is full of some annoying cliches but it is fairly entertaining and I love Shaft's visuals on the anime. Guess I'm gonna start reading the manga but not sure whether I would like it without Shinbo's influence.

I feel the same. Story sometimes was somehow annoying, but you gotta love this anime at the end. I think I'm going to wait for a second season, I enjoy watching anime more than reading manga. I get so excited before watching a new episode, manga doesn't affect me that much. However, I dont see why this is a guilty pleasure. Nisekoi fans put your hands up !

I don't see what's so wrong with appreciating style like in Nisekoi's case, which is definitely a case of style over substance.

Looking through my anime list, I saw I ranked "Amnesia" 9/10 where it averages around 6.56.

It was cute, stereotypical men flocking over this one woman but their clothes were unique, it involved going into different worlds, and it just caught my interest.

Kill La Kill, Seikon no Qwaser, School Days, Highschool of the Dead

Despite the seemingly unneeded abundance of fanservice/ecchi-ness in these anime, the fact that they have potential in becoming "good anime" is what kept me going.

Rosario Vampire, typical ecchi which means it's more or less awful but it made me laugh occasionally and has my waifu so there's that. Ga-Rei-Zero, the plot is about two school girls fighting demons with katanas and has some slight Yuri elements, nothing too original but it's executed fairly well and the relationship (not the Yuri one) between Kagura and Yomi is great, oh and that pocky scene (the Yuri one). And finally Gundam Wing, one of my all time favorite shows, it's filled with so much cheese and silly monologues I can't help but love it. Treize is my husbando.

Guilty pleasure? Evangelion as a whole. The arguing people are annoying, and it's hard to meet people who like it the way I do, as in a lot but while recognizing its flaws. So I never tell people in person that I like it anymore, hence 'guilty pleasure'. Also felt rather silly watching Angel Beats, because I enjoyed it as a whole but a lot of it was laughably bad.

Garzey's Wing is a not-so-guilty pleasure and everyone who hasn't seen it should go watch it right now.

Pretty much any ecchi I have enjoyed HoTD, DxD, Ichiban Daimou, Kampfer.
Also Lucky Star which I know is a shit anime, it has bad cheap shit art, shit animation, shit music, no story, one dimensional characters with no development and for a comedy it is not even that funny. Yet for no logical reason I enjoyed it, hell I have even rewatched it dubbed, coming from someone who very rarely rewatches anything.

Amagami SS- Guiltiest pleasure. The romance is poorly developed (though still better than most other high school romances lol) and it was loaded with fanservice, but the sweetness somehow hit the right buttons in me. I come back to it every now and then.
