You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down

Onani Master Kurosawa broke me down the most, but it's uplifting. I'd say Spiral is the saddest manga I've read.

Well I for one absolutely love sad manga. They're just more memorable than happy endings because to me, I feel so much more emotion and I get more involved in the story. The saddest manga I have ever read is: Tamashii no Fugato (my favourite manga of all time ^^) I think most people will be confused on what's happening and I don't expect many people to read it, but if I am able to help introduce just one person to this manga I will be happy ^^ it's very beautiful, deep and meaningful and I will never forget the lessons that I have learnt form it...

Other sad ones are:
• The Embalmer
• Doll: IC in a Doll
• Basically all of: Mihara Mitsukazu mangas ^^

wow lets see...

  • hana to akuma - ending was amazing... cried for so many reasons when i read it
  • variante - this manga was insane, with an ending to match. i might've gotten dehydrated after i stopped crying from it... idk...
  • absolute boyfriend - kinda raged and cried during most of the last chapter. if you've read the whole thing you could imagine why
  • deep love pao no monogatari - a hell of a tear jerker. anything with animal cruelty is painful to read imo

well yeah don't wanna add too much to the list. all the above manga are highly recommended =]

DEEP LOVE – AYU NO MONOGATARI (Yoshi) – The saddest Manga, I’ve read up to this point in my life, and my god I was depress for about a week after reading this.

The amazing thing is though, it was only as I approach the last few pages that I felt any emotional stir for the character and when the water-works start they just wouldn't abate!!!

THIS IS MANGA IS ABSURDINGLY DEPRESSING!!!

Bitter Virgin is my no. 2

The saddest (for me) would probably be Watashitachi no Tamura-Kun,i'd recommend reading it,it was drawn by the same manga-ka who did Toradora. Other sad mangas would include Bitter Virgin, Suzuka and Unbalance x Unbalance.

im a guy and I bawled my eyes out. I love that manga
I checked out a couple titles on this list like Deep Love but it didn't get me like nana did
i guess i just need a good love tragedy not a whole life tragedy
(on another note I know this is an anime but if you haven't watched Ano Hana i bawled my eyes out from the first episode. i cant recommend a more touching story.)

the most saddest (and frustrating!) manga that i've read is:
    3 years (shoujo)
    yeah, it's your typical love story with an unexpected ending, but i don't like it ;n;
i felt like cursing and ranting and throwing tantrums after reading it.
the ending is happy, but also un-happy at the same time.
(spoiler? the main hero doesn't end up with the heroine)

*not really my type of ending _ _" argh so depressing.

There's Inochi (not completely translated yet), it's sad and it left me in a position where I'm on my nerves/frustrated for quite numerable times.

And Pandora Hearts T^T This manga is legend. It might look confusing in many times, but you'll get to it if you progressed into the manga. And I won't spoiler you anything, but it does make you cry quite a few times.

Savage Garden, I'm not sure if you'll cry in this (I didn't, but it hs t its own kind of sadness), it's a gender-bender though. (Girl dressed as boy)
