| Looking at the title for 131 which is Anger x and x Light, it looks like it could adapt 3-4 chapters which should cover the Gon vs Pitou fight and Would I be right as after 130, there's still 13 chapters of the CA arc to adapted and since the arc ends at 135, they need to pick up the pace |

| Chimera arc has been the weirdest shit I have seen .....with kite(not much character development) don't feel at all why gon will go emo when he was such a happy go lucky attitude in previous arc ...with him bitching about killua resolve to taking a girl hostage .....and also previous episode 3 chimera ant having threesome orgasm ...killing child after child more like eating ...it's been weird also don't understand on one hand u show chairam being strong with years and years of training and ant which is 3 month old and too powerful without doing shit.....I do love some ep alot but some are too weird ...only saving grace will be go n fight and killua(great character) saving his sorry ass |

You should probably visit the first pages, it makes a lot of sense. You point out that Kite doesn't have any character development but when it comes to the King (who's had the most character development), all you can point out is "killing child after child". Also, there were episodes spent explaining that the Chimera Ants the pinnacle of evolution. The fact that Netero barely stood a chance against the King just showed the gap between humans and the ants in terms of power and skill. I don't get what's so hard to understand about that. Sorry to disappoint but I wouldn't call Gon vs. Pitou the saving grace. I don't think you get the point of this arc. |
| Even if you can justify everything .....this arc should have been the end arc then it will make sense.....when u think about previous villains ....with all their development they look shit now in front of this arc villians....and chimera arc looks rushed and even if the king is in pinnacle of his power he at least has to be there for some years or so not I born ...now I conquer shit.....I don't hate the arc but it just should have been last villain type sh it not ok now let's go back to shifty villai |
| From these comments it seems evident that the HxH animators are going too fast with this arc; going through too many of the manga chapters D: finding the right balance is hard but i feel as though they haven't really found it yet ;0 With that being said i'll revert back to what i said previously; all this arc is missing is some action. But of course, this also had very much to do with the reason that Kite is dead. Kite is the one guy he knows that's actually met (and got to know) his dad so there's already that attachment established. Gon looked up to Kite (even though it showed the flashback very late) and this episode portrayed that Kite meant a lot to Gon. But it's not just that. Like TonyStark said, episode 116 showed that Gon was very torn up between anger and sorrow. He couldn't get over how unfair it was that Pitou was healing Komugi but not Kite. He yelled at Killua when he tried proposing the idea that Pitou was telling the truth ("Have you gone nuts?! Saying we should believe the words of a thing like this?!"). Especially in this episode, you see just how conflicted Gon is with himself ("I killed Kite!" "I shouldn't have tagged along" "It's all my fault" "No, it's Pitou's!"). And then there's the fact that Pitou was planning to kill him the whole time, which Gon calls him out for for being a liar before shit goes down. Add kokoro's reason that Gon's efforts were all for naught and now it shouldn't be too hard to see why Gon would react the way he reacts.[/quote] I think i will add to this, especially to his reaction over Pitou. It was interesting when he screamed about Pitou being able to act so humane now while she was such a monster before when she killed the person he loved. He was frustrated with the double standards and unfairness of the whole thing. We saw a similar reaction to that Phantom troupe dude when he was to face him in arm wrestling. It seems that a big part of his exaggerated reactions and imbalance mental situation is a resold of his own nature and age. Let's not forget that Gon is still just a child. And a child that didn't knew much about harsh realities at that and the deceiving hypocritical bad nature of intelligent beings. He grew up in a small island hanging around in a forest. His self-believe of "Kite must still be alive" etc are all part of his childish nature. He has no image of actual harsh reality and the fear of loss and being hid by life's reality and loss again and again until you break or become a tired realist. That's how he always acted, with the mentality that "things will work out". He hardly even thought very thoroughly about consequences etc. And now he suddenly comes face to face not just with the loss of a person but with reality. He comes face to face with the need to suddenly grow-up and realize that life can serve you shit and pain without rewarding you. That things don't work out no matter how you believe they should or you feel they should. That people aren't simplistic ether. That they are are double standards and hypocrisy in this world. Not black or white or even gray but a whole bunch of gray pallets. A person like him that felt like life was just a crazy rewarding roller coaster event and still full with childish ignorance isn't mature enough to handle life throwing him a slap in the face like that and especially when it comes with a loss of an important person like that. jreginald said: keragamming said: I refuse to believe that Pitou is a "HE" Pitou is a girl. | Gon's lucky Pitou didn't kill him as soon as she heard Komugi was safe. His mental breakdown dragged on a bit and I still can't quite get behind Kite being the catalyst for it but a solid episode nonetheless. |

As much as I thought his being alive would take away from his death (which it would, in a sense), right now I wish he could be saved for Gon's sake. :/ I was surprised to hear Pitou apologize, but I seriously doubt she wouldn't do it again. Solid episode. Only a few more before I catch up. |

| Gon is delusional lol. Aside from the obviously amazing second half of him grieving, I can't stress enough how the dynamics set Hunter apart from other shows, which can lead to a lot of unexpected interventions and directions. Each character is a variable, rather than constants to have main characters deal with. Pouf and Welfin pulling off that stunt had set up what's about to happen. They stole the show for me. Just genius writing. |

| Dammit this series broke my heart twice with Kite's deaths!!!! Why must you give us false hope argh dammit TT____TT Gon's struggle between sadness and anger was nicely portrayed. I actually thought his anger would win, but I guess at this point his sadness still took over When Pitou took out Doctor Blythe I initially thought she'd try to do something to Kite but yet again another false hope....! Im really hoping Komugi is conscious so she can hear what's happening...and possibly also call out to Mereum...though I'm worried Mereum would think Killua harmed Komugi and then kill him... |

So if Pitou didn't realize the Komugi voice said "Hello, Pitou-sama?" then Pitou is dumb too. |
| This episode was tragic yet beautiful at the same time. Kite's death wasn't that surprising. I knew he that was dead earlier when the creators showed the scene of his head laying on Pitou's lap. But Gon's reaction was unfortunate to see. I feel bad for the poor fella. He is broken down :(  I can't wait to see him rage at Pitou and wrecked DAT ASS on the next episode. 5/5 |
