Oo, a mini story to blast off this volume. Not too shabby. Looks like there are some new characters in this volume too.

Part of the first chapter already has some energetic comedy XD.
Shiro and Sora classic. Let the fairy tale begin~

A quick background summary about the history between the Sirens and the Dhampir (for those that can't read Japanese)

Dhampir need to drink blood to grow up. Other bodily fluids will do to simply survive. If they don't drink blood directly from the person, then they'll stay forever as children, which would mean they can't reproduce. The victim (the person who they drink from) doesn't become a Dhampir, but they do change so that they die if they get exposed to the sunlight.

The siren, on the other hand, are an all female race that can only propagate with males of another species, and in doing so the male gets sucked dry ie: death by snu-snu.

So both races need "victims" to survive and propagate. Thus Dhampir had a plan to form an alliance with the Siren. Since the siren live in the ocean, the drawback of being bitten (being allergic to sunlight) is entirely nullified, and on the other hand the Dhampir can provide males for the siren. A mutually beneficial pact would be possible.

So to form an alliance the Dhampir challenged the siren to a game, which they planned to not win, but to have a draw, where the demands of both parties would be met, allowing for a mutually beneficial pact to be formed. The Siren being rather short-sighted and foolish (the least intelligent of the 16 races apparently) were not able to understand the situation, and won against the Dhampir.

Thus the Dhampir were basically enslaved to the Siren. Males aren't allowed to drink from anyone not Siren, and all males had to help propagate the Siren if they wanted to drink, which would quickly mean the end of the Dhampir. Also since the women also needed to drink blood to grow up they too became "slaves".

However fortunately there is a single Siren born every generation which can reproduce without killing her partner. The Dhampir used this to their advantage and only slept with her. Soon she became the mother of all the Siren and thus their queen.

Thus an uneasy alliance was born between the 2 races. That is, until 800 years ago. The "Heir" who was the only one in that generation to be able to reproduce without killing decided to go to sleep waiting for her "true love". That's the fairy tail story in the preface. Sirens have the ability to hibernate for a very long time.

Anyways, since that happened the Dhampir males started dying out. Now there's only one male left, and he's still a child, which leaves both races in a precarious situation, which the Siren are too stupid to understand.

They can't even ask other nations for help, since anyone (besides Sora) would simply wait for them to die out to plunder the resources left after they're gone.

This is just a background history of the 2 races as contained in chapter 1 (no plot included). If I missed anything please let me know.

Man they finally finished translating volume 4 I gotta say That first half was relaxing then it took a turn into the dark side for a moment. But YES THAT BROMANCE BETWEEN THE GUYS. I hope that little prince will join.

Rather disappointed on this volume. The beach part was more enjoyable than the game itself. The ending was anticlimatic, so hopefully their visit in "Avand heim" is more promising.

That talk about blood sweat saliva and semen at the beginning was completely disgusting... and also completely hilarious, next volume we finally get to know Jibril's homeland, let's see if the girls from there are any sexy as she is, but i really doubt it - volume score: 4/5.

I NEED Volume 5 in my life and it wont be translated till October :/
This book was on the more funny side I like it. Especially the Dahpire There very existence is R-18 XD

The dating game has begun. Here Sora was fooled by Plum because to raise Queen Seiren was not to get his love but in another way. At the end of the story it appears that they went to the city of Flugel which is "Heaven Hem" to find information.
