| Four pilots made into Gardes pilots. Tanikaze and Hoshijiro blushing a lot and holdings hands... but Hoshijiro had to die :( That slow motion and sudden time skip, I wonder how Tanikaze screwed up. I can't help but to think that this is a Kunato conspiracy, his talk on the television pissed me off >.> Acting all humble and stuff idk >.< I wonder how Tanikaze heals faster than the other people. This cliffhanger episode though T.T Nothing good comes from salutes... |

I won't go off on a rant about the other two, I just disagree with what others are saying. NGNL and MKnR have their own atmosphere and feeling, and I like them for different reasons than Sidonia. good episode, though. Too bad about Hoshijiro. I liked her quite a bit, even though, for shipping purposes, I prefer Izana. Green girl whose name I haven't bothered to remember continues to annoy me. Looks like jealous douchebag is doing his best to steal the spotlight... can't wait to see his inevitable, and hopefully horrifying, departure from the show |

| Pretty interesting how they told us Hoshijiro died this episode through a timeskip, but next episode will actually show us the event. Not quite sure how I feel about that from a storytelling perspective. On one hand, her death will not leave as much of an impact on us now since we know it's coming. On the other hand.. actually I'm not sure what the upside of this would be. Seems an odd choice to go about it this way. Sidonia is probably the only anime that I'd let get away with a harem episode. |
| Good episode. I'm curious on more on Tanikaze but the whole talk about him being a pawn and he might be eliminated just leaves me even more curious. Talk about craziness in the last couple of minutes everything seem to went straight to hell. Next ep should be a good one giving me the answers I desperately seek. |

| The death flag was really apparent before they faced that Gauna so i'm not really shocked, but still.... :( I wonder if Tanikaze's 'healing factor' has a connection with Gauna or something like that. And in order to fully appreciate underrated shows like this, some people just had to bash/insult/mock other shows and other people's taste huh.... What a bunch of grown-ups |

Considering the pace they chew through manga chapters it will either be season finale or before it. Gawd, I just hope they won't go mentioning that in a conversation like they did in previous episode when bear talked to the captain (because in the manga them finding the kabizashis was actually shown, not told). Because finding out how Tanikaze is healing quickly involves some real serious badassery on Tanikaze's gramps part. |

Criticism of whichever show is fine, but bringing up shows you think are garbage for the sole sake of putting them down is pretty low. There's no need for silly and irrelevant comparisons to praise a show you liked. ex_necross said: I'd argue that knowing something will happen doesn't necessarily lessens the impact of the event in question the moment it occurs. First example that comes to mind would be Shingeki's first episode. The tone was set right from the start and the rest of the episode was dedicated to slowly build up to the fated event (the titans invasion). If a death's impact is dampened by knowledge of the happening beforehand, that would be subpar writing in my opinion, as it would imply a reliance on the shock factor. The impact should come from the establishment of the character and the circumstances of the death. It depends on how the show will handle it next episode. Also, Hoshijiro had tons of death flags in the previous episode, not to mention this one. |

| Damn best girl died. Kinda awkward how they went from salute to dead without showing the death scene. Looks like the next episode will illuminate on how everything transpired. That's a real quick fall from grace for Nagate. I'm telling you the bathsphere is the deathflag sphere. Overall not a bad episode. |

| No!! Hoshijiro!!! wth happened Midorikawa is so annoying. Poor Shinatose, Midorikawa kept saying "Shinatose-kun, Shinatose-kun!". Shinatose looked so uneasy at being treated as a boy. I thought this was a 5 pages thread about this episode, instead I find people arguing whether x/y/z are better anime than Sidonia??? Who cares lol. Liking something is subjective. Regarding the subs, I agree, they're slower than the usual shows, but you must understand that these subbers are working for free. I'm repeating it. For free. To any subber who is reading this, thank you. |

| So many Hoshijiro fans here...guess I'm the only one rooting for Izana. I like Yuhata too, though she did also annoy me at first in the manga so I can see why people don't like her (yet?). Yeah I was a little surprised that they went directly from the saluting scene to Nagate in hospital bed scene. It would've have a slightly bigger impact that way imo, but then maybe people would get even more angry (well not angry, but frustrated maybe) at the transition if they had gotten a sneak peak of the battle at first. |

| on topic: this episode was a bit of a low point so far, probably because it was like 80% harem drama. hoshijiro's death could be seen from space. i liked hoshijiro. but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't happy to see the harem decrease in size. but now we're down to shinatose who, sadly, is bound to be friendzoned and the green haired girl who isn't really developed at all beyond being pushy. off topic. mahouka is 100% pandering garbage. no game no life is decent and certainly has its excellent moments, but is also dragged down by its fair share of tired cliches and substance-less pandering.(kinda hard for me to have a lot of respect for a show that introduces one of its main characters, an 11 year old girl, with a lingering camel-toe pantyshot.) |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| Honestly I didn't come here to read all this BS about how trash NGNL is or Mahoka, if you want talk about how much you hate the anime please go on their said forums. Each anime has it's pros and cons and in terms of generic that's just how it is. It's kind of hard to bring in new ideas w/out being a little generic. With that said, the show is getting very interesting and I can't wait to figure out what's going on. I knew that she would die the minute they showed her for that last couple of seconds, "death flag." I wonder how all this is going to play out. In terms of anime I think people ask for to much in terms of not trying to be generic in animes. There are at least thousands of animes already made, kinda hard to make new ideas. But hey what I really hate is when people bash on an anime and treat it like it's the scum of the earth and that their opinions should be everyones opinion. |

Steins;Gate was altogether brilliant since the very first minute. slow paced =/= bad. If slow pacing meant bad quality, Shinsekai yori would not be a friggin masterpiece. bad = bad. And yeah, that shit show has nothing to do with this. People were jsut talking about subbing speed and how undeserving are teh shows like Mahouka of it. |

| Man, that was great. The ending really got me, I felt bad for Tanikaze there. I can't exactly pinpoint it, but something about this show just oozes quality storytelling wise, unlike pretty much every other action show this season. The timeskip was a really ballsy move, but I think it was well worth it for me. Showed the contrast between Tanikaze being the respected pilot versus apparently the guy who ruined the mission. (?) |

| People please, at least compare Sidonia with stuffs that's equally as good instead of shits like Mahouka or NGNL. Humza_96 said: Is nagate not overpowered? Everyone seems to overlook the cliches in Sidonia. Yes, Tanikaze is so OP he lost his girl within 1 episode. So OP that it's laughable.. it's so not like Tatsuya who is so weak he can defeat enemies by barely moving a finger. I wonder if you even watched the first 5 episodes of Sidonia. He was not only one of the few humans incapable of photosynthesis, he was also stranded in space for two weeks without enough food. It must have been really "surprising" that he has larger appetite than everyone else who only needs to eat once a week. |
