Well, Ryo sure has an interesting personal perspective of the cooking world. Anyways, looking forward to the other matches. I actually think Megumi did pretty well.

Wow, the differences between Kurokiba and Tadokoro are extreme. Kurokiba is a really fucked up dude, but even as a kid he was pure badass. When I saw how bratty he was even without his bandana, I thought he's in his bandana mode the whole time, but it surprised me that his personality changed even when was already ruthless. Yeah, this bandana mode is crazy awesome.

However, Kurokiba's attitude is the opposite to Tadokoro, which makes the duel between them even better. Her motivation is positive and now she wants to prove him that Kurokiba is wrong. That girl pulls off her skills and shows that she's worth to be a great chef.

So hi's "the kitchen's dictator" and since they are making ramen you could call him "a soup natzy".

I see your point and I will say nothing against it. I just want to comment where he could possibly live. Probably in Scandinavia, since it's mentioned that he and Alice were in northern Europe; considering Alice is half-Denish, it's very likely that he lived in Denmark. To the Nazi thing (I know that's not what you meant): Germany is part of central Europe, and he lives in a harbour disctrict, so it could only be north Germany.

Well, it's probably Denmark, but it's not that kind of country where it's snowy and cold the whole year, at least not in south Denmark. I guess that Alice and Kurokiba met in a winter. It's still near to the centre of Europe.

It's a Seinfeld joke. There was a character there that had a soup shop who was wery strict, you had get in an ordery line be very short in your order and respect his rules otherwise hi'll kick you out, they called him "the soup natzy". I didn't mean anyting with my coment sorry if I ofended you or something.

Still waiting for Chef Ramsay to make his cameo appearance. Okay chapter. Flashback wasn't that well executed IMO.

I expected something a bit more different... didn't like this flashback much.

Can't wait for the tasting next chapter and hopefully wrap it up there.

Ahhh Megumi, how you've grown. I'm hoping she wins even though my gut is saying she won't.
Gotta have faith!

I really want to like this Manga, but corny, generic characters like Megumi are holding me back.

Ryou will win this, but if Souma gives a corny speech before ultimately defeating him, I'll give up.

It's a shounen, almost all the "good guys" will be like Megumi. Souma will probably go ahead with one of those speeches. Though I don't mind. What's so cool in being a prick like Ryo?

Though I agree that sometime the corny speech can be so obvious it gets annoying.

In a shounen, if there is one generic "good guy" character, there is always gonna be that one generic "bad guy" character. In this genre, it has always been a given that way. So there shouldn't be no surprises. Although I'll admit, was not expecting it to be Ryou.

It'd be great if a "corny, generic characters" like Megumi wins this battle.

The way they were setting up Kurokiba definitely makes me think he's going to win. But then he looks down on the power of friendship, and I know he's going down at some point. I thought Tadokoro would beat him, but it makes more sense for him to beat Tadokoro and Soma will give him the power of friendship talk.

My bracket hasn't really changed yet! I'm saying its going to be Takumi vs Akira, then the mystery character vs Hiroko. Akira and Mystery Character will win, and Mystery Character will beat Akira, leaving he and Soma at the final. But that's just me!

Anyway, I enjoyed this chapter, the cooking battles are fun, but the characters interacting are my favorite part of the manga, so its nice to have some of that!

I liked how Kurokiba and Tadokoro's chosen dishes revolves around both their differences and similarities (the heavy rich broth VS the clear sparkling broth, with the seafood ingredients reflecting their sea port background). It's a pretty good opposition match in both personalities, perceived rank and cooking styles.

I know right! Though it could go the other way as well. Tadokoro could win, and then the friendship talk could be given by her since his unwavering opposing belief didn't get him the victory.

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

Kurokiba is such a badass.

Looks like Megumi is at least going to put up somewhat of a fight.
