No. I had a 15" LG CRT years ago and it did 1280x1024. 15-17" TFT panels (when they were common, nearly extinct now) were 1280x1024 too. There's tons of 16:10 wallpapers around. Get you started with some on my site: http://kemonomimi.pipefox.org/index.php?archive=1&filter=6 and http://asako.quietlyspoken.net/paper/ (non-mimi stuff mostly). All are 1920x1200 so easily downscaled. |
| 1920 x 1200 is the best. Absolutely no need to go any higher and you can watch blu-ray and 1080p raws in full pixel. Heck, I think for an anime watcher the screen size is probably the most important part of the computer so you are getting the most bang for your buck by getting a big one. |
