If you look down the same happens with most WSJ titles. This has a simple explanation - a bunch of WSJ volumes are usually released on the same date, in this case that was the 2nd of May. This ranking accounts for sales up to the 4th which means that it only accounts for 3 days of sales for the WSJ series with a volume release on the 2nd whereas the rankings usually account for a full week. That's why the sales for these series are lower than usual in this particular ranking. Next week it should normalize.

I'm not too sure how trustworthy the numbers are, but it seems like NGNL got quite a nice boost from the anime.

This laughable, even the attack on titan spin off manga volume is selling more than bleach latest volume. Naruto also not selling too good, how the great has fallen, but that's understandable nothing can do good forever. I guess people weren't kidding when they say there is only the big 1 which is one piece.

Actually only Bleach has ''fallen''. Naruto's yearly sales are more consistent than One Piece's. It's more or less the same.

^Check the explanation above for Naruto somewhat low sales this week.

Glad to see the Haikyuu manga continues to get a boost. Horimiya sales are also pretty good, I hope it gets a TV anime someday.

One Piece may be inconsistent in numbers, but it's never failed to beat out competition by large enough margins. :)

Shingeki is getting close, but it lost its opportunity to beat out One Piece. It had that one chance, when One Piece dipped with the FI arc... and when Shingeki was powerhousing and climaxing in popularity...

I mean, who knows? Anything can happen year to year. One Piece may be knocked down soon enough... but it's the only series of the big three that's really putting up a fight and dominating. :P

@Dark Angel

Thx for stating the obvious facts :) :P D: xD =D

As for the rest of your post, yeah I agree. I don't think Attack on titan will have a chance at beating One Piece again. The anime debut was it's biggest chance, will still probably have good sales and beat Naruto in the yearly ranking.

lol Attack on titan manga is actually leading the manga sales thus far. When the first half sales comes up attack on titan will be top. One piece may probably win in the full year run , but at the moment attack on titan is leading. lol naruto isn't even close to attack on titan.

Despite being an award-winner, i heard that Psycome didn't really sell well. It really needs an anime adaptation to get some recognition.

On topic, nice result for NGNL :3

One Punch Man deserves so much more, it's a travesty really :(

Bleach <3 even though it's not putting massive numbers when all is said and done it's still gonna be in the top 20 series by years end.

Ansatsu - they're really waiting for the chapters to pile on before it gets an adaptation, good.

Are Kantai Collection volumes no longer counted in the Light Novels and Anime/Manga related books list?

And to those commenting about Psycome:
the latest volume is currently 40th on Amazon out of Famiglia Bunko volumes (rank 3257 of bunko on amazon at the time of writing). The rank 1 volume is the latest volume of hikaru ga chikyuu ni ita koro... which came out on the same day(rank 181 of bunko on amazon at the time of writing).
I know amazon rankings aren't all that great for judging sales but that should give you an idea of how far off appearing on those rankings psycome was. As far as I know, no volume of the series has ever ranked.

Mecasonic said:
So thanks to the anime, NGNL volume 1 has already gotten a 50k increase in sales, volume 1-5 combined have reached 180k+ sales, and volume 6 is already at 48.7k after two weeks when volume 5 was only at 24.6k after the same amount of time.
That's a pretty impressive boost, and we're still only a third through the season. I wonder just how far it will go, considering that it's already beating the anime boost that 100k sellers like Oregairu, Accel World or Hidan no Aria received with their adaptation (at least, as we were able to observe those boosts in Oricon's weekly ranking).

It's not quite at Infinite Stratos level, though. That went from 46k sales at end week 2 from volume 6 to 120k sales at the end of week 2 for volume 7. I think that's the biggest anime sales boost effect we have data for.
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc). <-- No longer being updated. Sorry.
*that there is data for

wow! Seems like it could've explode even bigger than Kuroko! It's kind of funny that those two mangas so similar one to Bleach, one to Naruto and now seems like they will replace them in the Big3, lol
In other words, i could've rephrase Aomine: only Bleach... can beat Bleach.

Shame though. But it's not like low sales make it impossible for it to get an anime.

You think AOT will be first place on the first half sales? You know that the first print for AOT new volumes manga are something close to 2 million while One Piece is 4 million.
The only chance AOT had was when it got the anime boost, like tsudeceimo and Dark said, now it already lost his chance.

Wait what. First time seeing it a new volume this low...

That's cause it sucks big time.

Now for something good.

Unless it has movie level quality and budget, no thanks.

The latest Titan volume had a print of 2.75. Also this year saw the release of 1 OP volume only, titan got 1 + 1 almost entering from the last year so a lot of sales from that one as well. You can still see the older SnK volumes all over top 100 of the weekly sales, SnK vol 1 ranked on oricon top 50 twice when 13 came out. SnK is still growing, OP is in decline, the volume no longer reach 3 million on rank like before (not even close) and you barely see 3 OP volumes on top 500 (http://shosekiranking.blog.fc2.com/). SnK will probably take this one.
