Also the people calling that little slut who exposes herself to some guy she just met and seduces him the "best girl" are really, really pathetic people.

The direct and boring 'hurr durr shes nekkid lol!!1' fanservice aside;
I fail to see what's wrong with women who are free with their sexuality?

Although the scene seem bad, mostly because of the childish fanservice. There are a lot of people, straight and not alike, men and not, who have onenight-stands and calling them 'sluts' would just be insults. It's just that they're adults and here you're forced to watch an awkward fanservice.

The problem is that the main guy was clearly uncomfortable, so she should back off, and not that she 'seduces the guy she just met'

Not a particularly good episode. Sucks that the MC doesn't know about the moles anymore. Feels like the progress took a step back.

Saori has a convenient power.
So if she reaaaallllyyy hates someone, she can cut them in half, rewind time and cut them in half again.

The last character in the quartet of girls in the OP finally appears and she's stronger than Saori, level-wise.

It probably is. They both feature the same real world locations.
Who knows, Brynhildr and Elfen Lied might be in the same world.

the previous 3 eps was good, but somehow this eps killing it right from the start..wasting the cliffhanger they build in eps 3 and AA class magician..and the fanservice completely destroy the mood, is this somehow a filler? so early?

They didn't forget; it was a flashback.

Unless you mean they didn't tell the viewer in front, but that's rather a well-known tactic to create a surprise. And there is no reason why they *should* tell the viewer: it's the forth wall, after all.

but the way this anime show it not make me surprised at all..

i'm surprised this isn't tagged harem and ecchi

After watching the few series I've seen I can safely say I was expecting him to lose his memory. That's not to say this episode wasn't good as it was, just that it's a little predictable. The good news is the MC isn't some dim witted kid although still perverted, then again who isn't?

that was actually pretty good of an episode! the plot is building up really good! although i believe the "battle" with the AA witch didn't give to us a perspective of what we should expect from this series according to the strength a witch holds

Kazumi being half German explains her accent, I was wondering why she spoke like that.
There's nothing German or foreign about her accent, it's just a normal Kansai accent. The intonation in Kansai dialect is very different from Tokyo and most of the rest of the country, so it may come across as foreign-sounding.
oh ok, I'm not really familiar with different japanese dialects.

And she's not German, she's Austrian.

I'm going to ask you what's the language that the austrians speak , I know , you seem to not.

I'm from Austria myself, which is why I think it is important that people don't mix up Germany and Austria.
You wouldn't say he's Portuguese to a guy that's Brazilian either.
And if you don't know, feel free to look it up. Kazumi is half Austrian, half Japanese (http://gokukoku-no-brynhildr.wikia.com/wiki/Kazumi_Schlierenzauer)

Then you should know, that the majority of people there speak German. One could say it's not quite the same, but then again, in Germany itself you have many difference dialects, and 'high' German is quite different from 'low' German too.

And, in fact...you know, if history had went *slightly* different, you actually WOULD be German. Since you're Austrian, the word "Anschluss" should ring a bell.

In any case, saying she speaks German in the anime and claiming she is Austrian, doesn't contradict eachother.

Austrian German is different from just straight German, hell Bavaria even has it's own dialect.
Just because the words are spelled the same (for the most part) doesn't mean they aren't spoken differently.

For instance.
French people sometimes have a hard time understanding Francophone Canadians, Anglophone Canadians sometimes have a hard time understanding people from England.

---> One could say it's not quite the same, but then again, in Germany itself you have many different dialects, and 'high' German is quite different from 'low' German too.

UK English isn't the same as US English. Belgian Dutch isn't quite the same as Dutch from the Netherlands, etc. But regardless, it's still English or Dutch. If it doesn't deviate TOO much and becomes a different standard alltogether, it's considered the same language, even if some words and the pronunciation differs slightly. Like it or not, but the official language spoken in Austria, is called German, because it is German. It's the national official language and constitutes a lingua franca and de facto second language; for the rest there is Alemannic and Austro-Bavaria.

I repeat, thus: that she said she spoke German and was from Austria, is not a contradiction.

I never said that she doesn't speak German, since she obviously does, but that still doesn't mean that she IS German.
As I already said before, it's basically the same as calling a Brazilian Portuguese, or a Scotsman English (If you say that to the wrong guy, you'll risk getting punched in the face.). Or let's just call the Ukrainians Russian. No problem right?
No matter how much you argue, it doesn't change the fact that she is Austrian and not German, while speaking German.

Your own example makes it doubtful that it's all that clear cut as you seem to portray. What about the Russians living in the Ukraine? Clearly, they feel rather Russian than Ukrianian. Why? For the most part because they speak Russian and identify with Russia. According to your own reasoning, however, the Russians should call themselves Ukranians. They do not, however. Hence: it''s not because you live in a country that that defines your identity. The Crimean part is now back to Russia: are the Russians now suddenly re-transformed from Ukranians to Russians? Nothing to the people itself changed, however; it's only that de facto de border has been redrawn. You insist on the distinction between nationality and language, but that's EXACTLY the thinnest difference you could make. If the Anschluss had succeeded (as it did, in the beginning), all Austrians would be calling themselves Germans today, REGARDLESS of the fact that the German one would speak would still not be quite the same as the 'high German'. The fact one calls oneself Austrian, thus, is a political fluke rather than a clear distinction in culture or language.

But anyway, no matter how much you argue, the fact is she said she was from an 'Austria national academy' and is half Austrian, and speaks German. Nothing is contradictory in that claim, as said.

Yes there is clearly something wrong with a woman (or man) like the "fanservice" girl in this episode.

More specifically, kids.

Even more specifically, people enjoying this otaku garbage.

Well, you know, nobody is forcing to watch, you know. ;-)

I'm always pretty amazed people STILL fall over these kind of tropes. Yes, it's ecchi, and it's done on purpose. It's also in 90% of the anime out there, so if you have a problem with it, you got a problem with the majority of anime. And almost ALL anime characters look like kids, that's one of the defining differences with Western cartoons. Also... it just doesn't make sense always fretting about how it is 'wrong'. It's not wrong, it's anime: it's nothing that is r/l. It's like with the wincest of Kill la kill; there too puritan nutcases were complaining; "how can one like it? It's immoral!" No, it's not, because the immorality comes forth of actual examples, while this is only a presentation which can be interpreted however one wants. You see two women with all the right curves, and you think it's hot. "Oh, but they're mother and child, how wrong and vile of me to think that!" "Oh wait, they say they aren't! It's back hot again!" "Oh no, they now said it was a lie: it's back to being otaku garbage!" Ad infinitum. The same with this scene. "They are kids". So: kids don't get sexual before they turn 18? But more importantly: the fact that they 'are kids' is an illusion on itself. They are just drawings, to which you give a certain meaning. You feel uncomfortable watching it, because they 'are' minors? Well, what if in the next episode they say they've been redoing the same schoolyear 3 times and are over 18: are you now suddenly comfortable? It's the same scene, though, nothing really changed except your subjective perception about it. In fact, it might quite well be that Kazumi is 18+: she only *pretends* to be a high school girl, after all. In reality, she has been in the lab for years, and hacked her way into the school, with a false identity. So, you see, all that 'uncomfortableness' is merely your own thoughts about it, nothing that is actually there as a r/l example.

You should have learned by now that with anime, it's best not to overthink things: what you see are moving pictures, nothing more, nothing less. The only way to look at it without falling into the 'ad infinitum' trap, is 'just' watching it from the standpoint of what is shown, without interpretative context. Meaning: if you only saw that scene, is there anything wrong with it, knowing the visual style of anime, and the classical tropes of anime (including nudity, ecchi, sis/bro complex, etc.) And then, one realises that, if you see women with the right curvatures seeing/making a move, it's quite hot, just like any explicit picture of that is hot. (If not, regular porn and hentai wouldn't be as popular.) People who don't make the distinction between reality and anime, that's where the true problem lays, imho. Granted, sometimes that are Otaku, but seen the many moral-vigilantes reactions, a lot are clearly not.

To the former poster: I'm not sure what you are trying to argue. Certainly, there is nothing inherently wrong with one-night-stands and sluts, if you're into that. But that doesn't mean a slut isn't a slut anymore. And bedding the first man you happen to encounter that day, is slutty behaviour, however you look at it. It's true that could apply to men as well, if they are on the receiving end of the...ermm...stick. But all this doesn't change the fact that a slut is a slut, if she/he follows the dictionary definition of a slut.

The appreciation of a slut is greatly subjective and differs from individual to individual, and also, of course, from society to society. That said, considering the situation from the context of a long-term relationship, a slut is next to worthless, that's true. In the context of a one-night-stand, it could be quite good.

Hmmm , about the pills. I'd rather say the pill is food for that alien you saw from Saori , if not the Alien will devour the host and die with his host.
Judging by that I'd rather suspect the 3rd switch is releasing the alien inside and take controll of the host , other than that I cant think off.

L.E : Remembered , its the same theory with the parasite and its host , symbiosys if we can call it that way. If they are separated both will suffer severe damage , the parasite dies and the host might aswell but its not always the chase. If we speak only in cartoon/anime world Eddie Brook is a proof that he managed to survive his separation from Venom.

I'm not sure if that's the right interpretation.

If it's the alien that devours the host, then why do they melt AFTER the harnest and the alien got ejected? Remember: the alien slimy wanted to get back INTO the harness, like it was a comfort zone (which it would be, for a parasitic being). But, as was said in the anime: it was no use anymore, since the host died. But the host didn't die because the alien devoured her (and it wouldn't make sense neither, if it needed that host as a, well, host).

It still could be that forcefully removing that parasite 'wakes it up' or something to that effect, which ignites the melting reaction. Like, it NOT wnating to leave the host, with the melting of he host as a side-effect of trying to force the host to keep it in her. In which case, the drugs would maybe pacify it within the host.

I dunno, it's unclear. Hopefully it'll get a bit more clear later, though maybe a second season will be needed.

1. SO MUCH BLOOD THIS IS SO HORRIFIC OH MY GOD IT'S AWESOME.

2. This show certainly has wonderful shock value. And I don't care if the fan service is cheap, both this and Elfen Lied are hella fun to watch.

3. "What did they do to us in the laboratory?" I don't know why, but that's such a scary question.

4. I can't tell if the main character is genuinely perceptive for an MC, or conveniently perceptive, if you know what I mean. Like, should I believe his perceptiveness, or think that it's just a lazy convenience to make explaining things easier?

5. So how long before Kotori becomes a "good guy"?

My waifu Kotori finally arrives!!! Her voice isn't what I expected though but I'm sure I'll get use to it.

Damn, why does this has to be only 12 episodes?! Its a pretty damn good adaptation too. I blame all the shitty dick-bait animes out there, but what you gonna do, seems its what most anime fans want nowadays.

One of the few non-idiotic, though obvious, complaints found on the Internet so I'll actually take the time to respond to it. Yes, the time travel was a convenient plot device but, unless its used too many times, if you're gonna judge a show heavily base solely on this, then we clearly judge stuff base on entirely different values. Of course, its entirely possible, even highly probable, that you're just looking for whatever excuse you can find to bash something you're already determined to hate, which is very common and entirely fine, whatever floats your boat. Regardless, it was used to create suspense and it worked. It isn't the first time convenient plot devices were use for this effect and it certainly won't be the last.

I thought this was a way-too-convenient resolution when I saw it first in the manga. It didn't ruin the whole story for me, but it *was* a cringe-worthy moment in itself. (Not to mention that there's no way anyone should be able to know that she has this power, since no one but her remembers that time rolled back.)

From the shocking deaths of the beginning to Murakami seeing that girl's body, was a little weird.
By the way, I am quite disappointed 'til now by this show, it has something that I don't manage to like..
And that Elfen Lied setting..

Ah the obligatory "don't forget that are selling the uncensored Blu-Ray!!" episode.

Why did Ryouta just shrug off the moles and then goes back to assuming that Neko isn't his childhood friend? He is so dumb I just want to smack him across the head.

I did love his hysterical scream when he saw the parasite though loool.

So this is from the mangaka of Elfen Lied, an incredibly tragic manga with
, where the main heroine is cold and sadistically insane yandere with a split personality.

I was going to try it at first and then Necro then told me it's by the guy who did Elfen Lied, so I was a little hesitant about picking up the series. I just started watching it randomly because I wanted to clear some room in my HDD and I'm glad I did, it's really good and I'm considering picking up the manga. So far this series is a hell of lot less gory than Elfen Lied but I don't know if that will stay true till the very end of the series. Right now, I want to know if this AA+ witch introduced at the end of episode 04, is gonna be trouble or not? I reckon she won't be because she's present in the OP and ED in sort of a main character pretence.

My favourite of the girls is definitely Kazumi, I hope she survives till the end of the manga.

Dude time turned back for them so they were in their past state and thus the event of him seeing the moles never occurred, only the Witch remembered what happened. That was perfectly clear in this episode and it's not something complicated either.

Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

All in all something about this episode was off..might be the pacing..and it was pretty anti-climatic after the pretty good cliffhanger, disappointing..otherwise ok episode. Also I don't like the MC much :/ Can't he just bloody ask whether she has a mole....>_>

I was so taken by the story in the previous episode, which I would not want to see this episode, but not before a nice pause for reflection.
Today I was ready to continue with the vision, I have to say is that I was not disappointed in the hereafter.
Maybe a little too dismissive of Saori practice, which has left me with a slightly bitter taste in the mouth.
Very nice plot narrated facts and with some consistency, for me to remember the souls of Sidonia for his consistency. Not bad not even the script. I have to say that the only thing I do not like is the graphic art, if only it had been more beautiful, it would have been an anime almost perfect in all respects.
Okamoto's hand is not missing, and there are references to Elfen Lied very evident.
I can not wait to see the next episode and to understand more about the true nature of the girls.

I can't believe they survived the whole thing so easily, within like half an episode lol. Send only one witch to defend the place... okay -.- The time manipulation power.. I would like to know more about it, like.. could she rewind the time for the entire world, or only those around her, or why couldn't she rewind her own time.. I have a lot of question regarding her powers, but whatever, fodder remains fodder.

Fanservice was distasteful.

I really didn't expect that Kana was faking her paralysis.
