| I don't think there's gonna be any fix for this from the part of MAL, so the options I have in mind atm: 1) have MALU open the captcha form right in the app 2) change a few areas of the code with stuff from malu3 (3.x can function without any of the web login stuff malu2 needs) |

| Well, I say try first the captcha within malu. If the problem stays (doesn't connect or ask over and over again for a code), then go for the second option. |

Now seriously. Is it possible to export/importthe database, can the client be modified to remember the last 100 updates without connection and then dump the changes into the export? The offline mode I picture for V3 really would simplify things, sorry that I can't shake it out of thin air - I keep trying because that's all I can do to to protect my hardware from sudden movements. edit: And before I forget. I did search and find the captcha, even guessed right after about 18 tries - but that only gave my browser access to the site, even with the same IP the client is not able to connect. Whatever they did, it's a totally half-hearted attempt to use some third party code without even understanding and adapting it. Don't believe me? Well disable the google script and sent a blank, and then try to see any reference who where and what the line refers to. |

| It is indeed getting annoying. Obviously not Kotori's fault but MAL has been unstable for a long time. Look at how long the IMG codes in our signatures have stopped working (I know about the hackers etc. , however if you really want to fix it, with persons who know what they are doing, it would not take ages with no progress.) Now they recenly must have changed something that messed something up =| . I wouldn't recommend Kotori to start working on this "fix" anytime soon until they get things more stable. I think we should just hope that they add this to the so-called "whitelist". However, this might take ages for it to happen. Basically, choose your poison but don't expect that we will get any nice features in MALU until MAL itself gets stable.. |

| It's the whole inconsitency. They fear malware from pictures, but keep them in halfway. They have problems keeping me logged in since 2012 but that is just sorry little me. No wonder I see the catcha every single time, sometimes even more then once on the same day. The BBcode would be easy to fix. Only allow verified sources by using a whitelist, creating a hash and submit the hash to ensure no malware is present - for example to virustotal.com. Make the choise that no user can see a single picture unless (s)he actually turns the pictures on and (s)he accepted that (s)he is doing so on her/his own risk. That would have taken maybe a week. But changing something yourself takes effort, and since only a few are complaining, who cares? Without malu I would have switched services long time ago. Kotori did and still does an amazing job and I hate that mal is not even appreciating what he has done. Verified it myself, at least one other tracking client does work, a few others, including malu does not. How do they suppose to fix things if they supply the sollution only to one, but not to others? |

| Well here's something very odd: using Taiga's UserAgent string the API list retrieval works, but not with MalUpdater's, as if they only whitelisted the other app.. |
| So, MALU works again.. for now. I resorted to copying the user agent string from Taiga which seems to be properly whitelisted to use the API, even though Crave suposedly did for MALU back in October 2013. |

| Yeah login seems to work fine now, but there's a new problem. It does track the anime you already have on the list, but if you try adding something new by the malu it doesn't find any results. |
