Another OVA of 'Shingeki no Kyojin' Announced for Limited Edition of Manga Vol. 14

The limited edition of volume 14 of manga Shingeki no Kyojin, to be released on August 8, 2014, will contain another OVA. The content will be an original story based on another story of the "104th Gunren Heidan-hen," which tells a backstory of how the 104th Trainee Squad got together. Volume 13, which includes an OVA that begins with the story of the "104th Gunren Heidan-hen," will be released on April 9, 2014.

With all these announcements around , I think that in 2 years a second season might be possible , although it's not gonna be as enjoyable as the first one.

I haven't read the manga so I don't know what to expect. I recently read here tho that Isayama Hajime was planning to change the ending of the story because he wanted to satisfy the fans. So maybe we will get to see some "good"(?) surprises.

I know what you mean. The first moment Guren No Yumiya played, it was spine chilling. I got used to that feeling and I'm expecting a lot from the second season. But there is a high chance Imma be disappointed.

But hey, there's a percentage that they'll exceed S1 with the Clash of Titans arc :P.

Good news! But Godddddd damn, some people need a telling off. Nowadays, whenever someone speaks about A.o.T, it seems like their point always goes well over their heads and they literally end up blurting out some bullshit. "milking", "overrated", "sucks past episode 5". Bahhh, If you're aware enough, you can tell who're the fanboys and the closet fanboys just by their passionate words towards A.o.T. And if you're quite the troll, then ohhh lawd, how easy it is to get them butthurt. It's the truth. Test it out yourself. Lel

Dude, happens to every mainstream anime. Niche/cult series aren't safe either from the constant bitching (take every new ecchi and shounen ai thread for example). Haters gonna hate.

That aside, I expect it to be awesome. I've grown to love AoT but I gotta admit, the violence--although cool--is not as "extreme" as fans make it out to be.

Yea I hear ya. There are people who insult it and yet secretly rep it. The popularity in this one is not just strong.. it's too strong. Fuck, I know someone who you'd NEVER imagine reading/watching manga/anime BUT WTF He actually watched AoT and that's the only thing he ever watched.. Even says "that's his shit". LOL Dude.. I think AoT broke something somewhere.. idk this isn't normal. Not hating, just dumbfounded at how people are mistaking this show for crack.

All these SnK related announcements make me hopeful about a second season in 2015...
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...
