Definitely the best episode of this anime so far. I wish every episode was this good.

This episode was like the big turning point, the rest of the episodes are similarly amazing (even on through to the OVA actually). You are in for a real treat.

"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Despite how predictable the "daughter" reveal was (seriously, got that in five minutes) this was definitely the best episode so far. Such a beautifully layered episode, Keaton's role was pretty minor allowing for greater focus on this particularly story and characters, and the music box stuff was awesomely incorporated. Loved it.

I was really feeling the suspense at the end. So glad it didn't end tragically.

This episode was so good. Brilliant foreshadowing and twists all around. It even made me feel for the characters over the course of just one episode. Incredible.

Predictable, but beautiful. One of the best episodes.

I figured it out about halfway through, but that didn't take away from the episode at all. What a gutpunch...the tears...

I just can't help thinking of all the poor souls that actually went through this and never got their happy ending.

what a dark episode
she was ready to kill a kid, not sure if even therapy is able to 'fix' that level of 'brokenness'
see you, space cowperson . . .

Well, quite a emotional episode. Though doesnt change the fact that he indeed went way with his assistant leaving his wife. Specifying that his current wife was his assistant and they had a choice kind of make it cheap tbh

She was going to kill her own little sister with a sinister smile on her face.
I can understand if the ones she wanted to make suffer were her father and his wife, but she really should not hate her own sister. The little sister also seems like a good kid after all.
But anyway, glad it ended well.

Similar sentiments here, excellent episode. I teared up a bit when Hanna and Clara were singing.

I know some comments are saying it's predictable and all but this show has been throwing Chekhov's gun throughout so far. Would you really have "predicted" it if you had not seen Hanna choking the doll with the necktie or the ominous swing scene?

Also, new ending theme. It'll have to take a while for this one to grow on me, but I think it will after a few episodes. I quite liked the first ending theme.
