Band: Bad Religion
Album: New Maps of Hell
Comments: Great album, I was surprised because it was a great album from start to finish, and Greg Graffin sounds EXACTLY the same from what I remember

Band: Testament
Album: The Formation of Damnation
Comments: Another GREAT album from beginning to finish, some classic thrash tunes on it, I think.

The hip-hop mixtape has inspired me to finally dig into the genre a bit more and listen to some whole albums. Figured I should start with a few classics first.

I'm especially enjoying A Tribe Called Quest. Love their jazzy sound:

Sweeney Todd Original Soundtrack (movie): Special Edition

I got this CD a week after I first saw the movie in December. I loved the music so much that I just had to get the soundtrack. The music itself is gorgeous, but there are some people who should and shouldn't sing. I won't say who that are; I'll leave that opinion to you. It's also hard to understand the words to "The Worst Pies in London" at first, but you'll be able to grasp the lyrics after listening to it a few times. At times, the music really captures the Gothic feel of the movie, but the light-hearted songs like "By the Sea" balances the feel of the soundtrack and the movie out so that it isn't too gloomy. The duets really soar and give the soundtrack a little more depth. If you don't mind showtunes, then I recommend this soundtrack. 9/10.

Hammerfall's new album "No sacrifice, no victory" was released in Sweden and Finland today, so I bought it.
And I really like it. I've always been getting the Hammerfall albums since I've listened to them ever since they released their first album, but their last album "Threshold"(not counting the Masterpieces cover album) was so bad I really had my doubts that I'd get any more of their albums. But now I'm very glad I did.

Just got into this band not too long ago, they're quickly becoming one of my favorites. One of the best metal bands I've heard, great use of electronics.

Also got the new Dope album No Regrets. Awesome album, I like it a lot.

I bought BoA's USA album just to support her but most of the tracks were mediocore at best. Eat You Up and Touched were her best songs on there so far.

I got another BoA song but I forgot the name. Oops.

Then I got Anyband's Talk Play Love. (Notice a BoA trend)

I also got Cruel Angel's Thesis (Ambivalence Mix) cause I heard it on youtube and liked the fact I could hear the background vocals more than the original version.

I probably haven't mentioned it yet but I got The Agonist's album a few months ago. It was the first time I heard a woman do death metal and sing.

If we got 80% or higher let me know! :)

Brian Eno - Another Green World

Brian Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets

So I finally decided to get some of Brian Eno's stuff since I'm such a big Talking Heads fan, so it was about time I got something by him after seeing his name around so much, and damn, his music is so beautiful and atmospheric, it's almost too perfect listening to it on a nice sunny day like it is right now. Listening to Brian Eno really takes me to a different world, it almost makes my life more pleasant. AMAZING ALBUMS

After seeing that spoof of Dead and Gone with Lisa Lavie I ended up buying her album Everything of Nothing. It is a pretty good album reminding me a bit of the old 90s R&B songs. Falling For You is in constant rotation.

Singles I bought was Jungle Boogie by Kool and the Gang and December 1963 (Oh What A Night) by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Dec has been on constant rotation as well.

If we got 80% or higher let me know! :)

Yeah, but I'd still prefer a proper solo album over a 4CD compilation. It's long overdue IMO.

Hmm, well I'm sure he knows what he's doing and if it's true, then it will once again be a killer compilation. I don't know why he's not aiming for a solo record. He knows a lot of people who would help him produce one I guess.

I wouldn't call it a huge letdown, there are some nice tracks on it. But I agree as in it's not as good as Absolute Power or Everready but those are no collabo albums anyway. Hope the next solo album will rock again.

Some of these are currently on pre-order but I downloaded and checked them out cos I have the time to on the weekend.

To be honest, I gave up looking for downloadable content of a Korean post-rock band, 우리는속옷도생겼고여자도늘었다네 (or just The Underwears o_o).
So yesterday, I ordered the only album I could find from them; 우리는 속옷도 생겼고 여자도 늘었다네. I don't know why I've gone through all this just to get music from these guys, I don't even know if they are any good. D:
