I think this does has something to with Hachiken whether Mikage admits it to or not. After all, friends care for each other right?

Well, I liked the bonding this episode. There's a good connection especially at the end there. They'll get through this I think.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. Man i really hope they make a 3rd season out of this one. It's funny, serious, educational and can make you anxious about the next episode like shounen anime do. It's really great. They developed Mikages and Hachikens relationship so much in a single episode yet everything looked so natural. I can't wait for the next one. Love gin no saji :3

Brilliant episode T^T Every bit of it was friggin great!!!

That part before the OP was so damn amazingly done >.<
How Hachiken told her to rely on him although he doesn't know what he could do
And Aki started to cry saying she'll lean on him more and consult him in everything possible. Why didn't u continue ur sentence AKI!!! >.<
How they were seen holding hands and got the mood read quickly "Should I lock the door?" hahahaha AkixHachiken <3

Lol'd at the teachers recommending Crab by going cozy on a Russian ship XD
And Dat reaction to Hachiken wanting to Net auction the figure XDXDXD

The part watching Komaba's ranch being sold off was so sad :(
And the cleaning the ranch part was touching too.
Loved the part where Hachiken was holding Aki's hand after she told him to give her more courage <3

And above all that greatness the final part after the ED was The best part!!
Poor Aki!! How she wants to follow her dream but can't tell her family at all with all the expectations they have for her.
And then another critical hit by wanting to sell the horses >.< Aki's face during that part was so sad T^T...Good job Hachiken telling her that this will be her last chance and he'll be there with her supporting her while tearing up (And her dad staring at them!!) So damn intense!!! Dem emotions were just brilliantly depicted!! I've been waiting to see this part animated and it didn't disappoint one bit :D

Can't wait for nxt ep :D And Loved how Aki's parents were whispering about Hachiken being a potential bride for Aki XD If he heard what they were saying he'd be in heaven from happiness hahaha ^^

They have to sell their horses now. Good time for Mikage to let her family know her feelings at the end. This is getting really good.

So, so good. I love this anime so much. Thank you so much for gracing the anime/manga world with your masterful writing skills, Arakawa.

The part before the OP killed me...that was some good comedy.

The rest of the episode alternated between being heartwarming and heartbreaking, but the shift in tones felt completely natural and didn't clash at all, it all flowed together.

Also, the bonding between Hachiken and Mikage this episode was fantastic. So nice to see how far their relationship has progressed. That cliffhanger at the ending, though... I can't wait.

It was a great, bitter-sweet episode.

Tho I started to find annoying the fact, that Hachiken has to apologize all the time for being an outsider. I mean, really, he might be naive and idealistic, but he's not stupid, he learns pretty fast, that the farm life isn't only about cute little animals and fresh food, yet, he still has to prove over and over again, that he's not an airhead. Seriously, give the guy some credit!

It's been a while since I last saw such a good episode in an anime. The tension at the end. Now, that's what I call a cliffhanger.

When the credits came I thought "wow, it went by so fast" then I realized it still was almost mid episode XD

Good decision to put the credits there, they would have been a complete mood killer at the end, considering how it all developed. Many directors could learn from this.

Tense cliffhanger, I really want to know how Mikage's family will react.

It amazes me how this anime just draws me in every episode. I was holding back tears when Aki started crying but I lost it when Komaba's sisters started crying. I'm glad Aki is starting to tell her family that she wants to follow her own dream. This episode ended at chapter 68 in the manga & I believe their are 90 somethin chapters out now. They can't end the anime in 2 more episodes. I want a third season.

The drama in this series surpasses so many of the new anime that's being aired at present. Super episode and the Mikage and Hachiken relationship is looking very good.

OMG the untimely ED freaked me out because it wasn't supposed to finish so soon!?? But what came after it was too serious so had to have the tense atmosphere.

And that opening scene was just priceless - Mikage almost said it!!! This show gives me the best comedy in the best of ways.

On the other hand, the Komaba ranch business was even more depressing this episode. The little twins crying really got to me, and these kids, Komaba, Mikage, all Hachiken's classmates...they really are too young to have to worry about loans and debts.

It's frustrating but I simply cannot express how much I love this show. There isn't a single scene, or dialogue, or character that I don't love to bits!

LOL. Great humour.
"I'm going to... lock... the door..."
"Should I lock the door!?"
And seems Aki does like Hachiken? ;D

Wow, that suspense at the end was great.

That cliffhanger; I really don't know what to expect!! Glad to hear there are more chapters and I hope they get adapted. Such a great series. Excellent combination of slice of life, educational substance, comedy, and set in the countryside which I love. <3

That's about all I have to say today. Expectations exceeded, this was the epitome of a perfect episode. It's seriously amazing how much of an impact drama can have when it's done so subtly and naturally.

Man this show is amazing! Everything about it is so great; it really pulls me in and Hachiken is such a relatable character that feels are unavoidable. You can do it Mikage! Hope everything works out and a third season be announced. This is too damn good. Pity not as many people know of it/watch it then us fans would like.

Amazing. Simply amazing. A-1 really shows what the studio can do w/ an SoL series. And Silver Spoon just fits them to a tee. I was waiting for this part to be animated and it didn't disappoint at all. Nice touch w/ the early ED. Really nice touch. Next week will be awesome.

P.S. Arakawa sensei when will you be back from the research break? 3 weeks w/ out the Silver Spoon manga is killing me.......

I had to watch that part twice because it was absolutely hilarious XD

But man, shedding some tears for Komaba's cows being taken away...they're not even my cows but I understand the feeling of parting. And even the part after that when they were cleaning the livestock house and then Hachiken saying how cold it is without the livestock. Drinking the last batch of milk too, that was all very heartbreaking yet touching.

And go Mikage! Borrow Hachiken's courage and tell your family about your dream! :) I'm glad she's learning to rely on Hachiken.

Graaahhh I was waiting for "that" declaration from Hachiken...

Guess I have to wait another week. It's really too bad that there's only 2 episodes left. It seems that they're going to end it with
.

There should be enough material from another season but I guess we have to wait until the completion of volume 12 or so.

Agreed, but I think it's because this anime has a plot while most SoL's don't and are more go-with-the-flow type of shows.

LOL that beginning ruined the moment, "Want me to lock the door," XD.

Damn, Ichiro's farm being empty feels sad as he is in debt from this situation.

Oh man, they are going to sell the hoarse for getting some money, but Aki has something for her own dream. Oh yeah, the credits caught me off guard somewhere in the middle.

Damn you Silver Spoon, Y u so good?

Glad that Aki and Hachiken relationship is advancing. And it's advancing A LOT.

That holding hand scene though.
The adaptation for the last scene was very well done. It literately gave shivers down my spine.

A thought: I wonder if Silver Spoon is going to end with Aki and Hachiken marrying, just like bakuman.... (come to think of it. Silver Spoon is A LOT like Bakuman in some aspects)

It was sad to see Komaba's business getting sold off
Glad they showed the atmosphere and consequences of it

The ED came so soon I thought this was way too short, but the next scene of Mikage and Hachiken holding hands was so cute

It's good to see Hachiken supporting Aki at the end to let her speak up and express her dreams
