Also, it would have been perfect if the Manga resumed on April 1 somehow. I think that would be the most appropriate date. |

| I'm very grateful that Miura isn't a flat out slacker like Togashi (in spite of my love for HxH). Just please, please don't go for long hiatus ever again. It's already bad enough that my passion for Berserk keep waning over time, but i hope it won't disappear completely due to frequent hiatus. |

| It's just about goddamn time that Miura stopped fapping over his idol waifus and get back to his manga, the lazy fuck. Just hope he doesn't announce a hiatus sometime after though I can't shake the feeling he'd re-announce the hiatus after some chapters or possibly a volume or two. |

I'm in the first camp, because that's the truth and he was working on his mini-series to celebrate 20th year publication in Young Animal, the magazine his manga is published, during his hiatus on Berserk. so yeah. |

And yes, we *know* what Miura spend his last year on. he said so and it was already being published from November to March. It's not Miura's fault you can't pay attention. It's also been well known and confirmed in an official interview that he works 10+ hours a day on drawing his stories (check Skullknight.net for that). It's just that the publications chedule is different from his working schedule. The publsher could publish one Berserk chapter every month or every 6 weeks. But in the end the content released would eb the same and let's not forget that even with a biweekly release schedule (as intended back then) he would only put out 20 chapters maximum in a year. In the last 6 or 7 years we got roughly 10, except obviously 2013. Cnsidering that his previous 20 chapter per year rhythm made Miura pretty sick I'd say this is a fair deal. Just view it as a monthly manga that gets 3 translated chapters at a time every quarter or so and you are good to go. I really don't get what's so dificult about that. Compare it to other authors: The Bastard mangaka published the last chapter in 2011 and only managed 27 volumes even though he started at the same time as Miura. Togashi did 2 chapters in a WEEKLY magazine in the past two years, and only because they were specials for a movie. Not to mention that nobody knows wether the rmours about his sickness are true or not, that he refuses assistants and that 60% of his chapters in the past 12 years were initially scribbles that even ONE could draw better. Miura really isn't that bad because you always know he works and we SEE the results. Of course, that doesn't excuse some of the padding he did in the Millenium Falcon saga, but once you look past the publications chedule you realize that the Sea God chapters were kinda fast paced again. I am pretty confident that even with a few more Falconia chapters in 334 and onward we shall get off the boat in this year. ezaya said: and when will the anime resume.?? You mean the movies? I don't think it's laziness, I think he's just lost interest after writing the manga for nearly 25 years. I don't know if it's writers block or just negligence because he wants to do other things, but it's definitely created a love hate relationship for me. I'm always elated when new chapters come out then it's back to the ridiculously long wait in between chapters. At least he actually releases stuff once in a blue moon. Where Togashi just drops off the map for years, never letting us know when he will come back or if he even plans to finish what he started. |
