No.

Why would I want to spread a plague?

Anime is pretty popular now. I ask him if he watch any anime or have any interest. If No, Smart choice. If he has interest, I just show some appealing ones and let him go to hell by himself.

I'm not sure if my little sister counts because we were both so young at the time. I don't think I'd count anyone else. Now I do have a 7 year old nephew and an about to be 5 year old niece who I've considered trying to introduce to it, but haven't yet and dunno if I ever actually will.

No, not really. I got a friend to actually sit and watch Higurashi with me though and she wasn't scared off so that's a plus.

As much as I tried, all of my friends are too stubborn to watch anime. They ignore anime for various reasons and they just prefer to watch shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead etc... (SIGH)

Im not hating on thrones or anything regarding television series. I just came to a disappointing realization that the reason why I cant get into those series is the same reason my friends cant get into anime as well. Which is a total bummer.

Yeah I feel you (see my sig for more details), 'thrones is one of the few live actions shows I've actually been able to get into, and that's because I'm a sucker for anything involving moderately realistic medieval settings.

Since being at Uni I've gotten a couple of people started on anime. I've also pointed some more familiar anime watchers in the right direction rather than them just watching OP, Naruto and the like..

I introduced some of my closest friends to anime. I got my best friend hooked on Blood+ and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. A pretty rewarding feeling.

I introduced a guy I know to anime by spamming him with random crap from youtube that I knew he would hate.
Somehow he started to like anime so now I can't do that anymore.

Yep, to a few people - NGE, Haruhi, Maid-Sama!, Shinsekai Yori. One of them had never watched anime before, but one day she said to me that she started watching "Social Experiments Lain" on hulu lol and I was like wtf? what a weird choice to start with, but she liked it so she said she wanted to get more into it. Music to my ears.

My girlfriend actually. We watch cute/moe shows together, but she's having a more difficult time getting into shows with a lot of action. She is quite receptive of romance anime so long as the romance is more then above average. Does hentai count? Because we watch that together too. If it has creatures in it then she will kindly decline watching it however.

No, because you'll never know if they actually will watch it and they might look
at you weird after you tell them about it.

Tried introducing AOT to another friend, he loved it, got addicted to it, and finished all 25 eps in a week.

Now he asked me when season 2, coming, i told him not until 2015, he said what?!

(he is used to american shows with quick seasons restarts)
i told him to watch cowboy bebop for the mean time, he loved it, now hes a casual watcher.

Thinking of pranking him with a moe show like k-on (since the reasons he likes anime is for the "manliness" hehe...

Now that I think about it, I never really made any of my friends watch anime. I hate the fact that most of them refer to them as cartoons for kids.

I have a friend who watched KWMS and I tried to convince her to watch Shugo Chara. That was a few months ago and she STILL hasn't watched it. I made my mom watch Grave of the Fireflies. She didn't like it and now I can't convince her to watch any anime at all. It always backfires when I try to convince people to watch anime... :(
