Ahhh, Major & drama. Goro played an amazing game, Gibson Jr. even thanked him for that, and he accomplished his dream, there's no need to feel so depressed >_>

Oh well the next episode looks like it could be fun.

Man Goro truly is an idiot, but he's a BASEBALL idiot. If he quits he will regret it forever. But there is only one episode left so...

The title of this anime is "MAJOR"

So my guess is that the last season is about him winning the MLB

Lol @ Fuji getting gifts, that was a clever shout out to the voice actresses.

Damn, Major is starting to go from dramatic to personal, Goro's internal conflict is starting to hit home for me.

Holy crap . . . That is really unlike Goro though. I mean he lost before and yet that just made him want to try even harder, like when he got absolutely crushed by Mayumura. Not sure why he is taking this loss so hard that he wants to quit instead of strive harder but it kind of disappoints me, if there was one thing I could rely on him for, it was never giving up.

We all know that he won't quit playing baseball, but the way his interpreting the situation is so wrong in my opinion. He accepted the challange and both Gibson and Gorou make pitching decently. If Gorou lost to one of the Gibsons, then it should have been the Gibson-otousan, not Gibson-musuko. This feels so unfair to me, Gorou is a WAY BETTER PLAYER than him.

And for all the questions above: From the very beginning his biggest dream was to beat Gibson, and since he failed in an awful way, his dream was crashed and he became unable to pitch anymore. This process is something natural, I wonder how or who will save him from this depression.

Yea we all got spoiled from the very first look that Goro will reach Major :).

I was wondering what those three last episodes will be about as I didn't think they will start Major league at the end of the season. Usually season ended with the last game, now I know. Even though it's a sport anime, there was always an element of drama in it.

He lost one game and wants to quit baseball.
I'm sure that Shimizu will fix him up.

Want to quit baseball? Our boy Goro?

IMPOSSIBLE.

But seriously to see Goro so down and broken and even consider quitting baseball feels so against his character, just shows how much passion was behind his goal of beating Gibson.

The US winning is logical after the whole build up and only fair towards Gibson who literally risked his life for this game.

It also wouldn't feel right for Gorou to achieve such a big win before the story is going to end in the next season.

Him playing with the thought to quit is quite shocking, tho.

Wow.. 103 MPH fastball! That is damn impressive. I felt awful for Goro when he was getting carried off the field like that. Goro has been through a lot with baseball, but him thinking about quitting does make sense. A HR like that, in a big moment with your best pitch can ruin careers.. but of course, no way he is going to quit.

damm it, in alternative world toshi and miho would be a couple with all their fluffiness.

i'm actually glad that goro has lost though pitching his best pitch in the game, it kept the game realistic and goro beatable though being a monster, but now his loss hitting him hard that he lost the passion for baseball, i hope shimizu would be able to cheer him up.

Strange this bad dream continues after the whole joke of Junior hitting a homerun.. they're joking right... I can't believe Japan actually lost because of Junior hitting Goro's fastball again.

Even more that Goro is in such a devastating state, after failing to beat Gibson in his last match ever, that he wants to quit baseball....

Anyone noticed the Monster OST at the operation part? That was genious.

In most cases, the MAL Average Scores don't mean anything, here is a question: were the works made before 2000 all shit?
Why are they so damn scarce in the Top 50? Think about how MAL is quite literally a filtered amount of the Anime fanbase.

Here's a timeline of the Top 15 in which you can check that, almost always, the scores are affected by the freshness, popularity and other factors that have nothing to do with quality.
