This is Steins;Gate Related Question :)
Cheers to all Steins;Gate Fans :)
NOTE: time leap means sending memory to past.

[my first topic, not sure if this is right board to post this]

I prefer to go 200 years to the future, if it actually exists

Why is that related to Steins;Gate? They are completely unrelated in fact. Steins;Gate is about sending messages to the past and sending your memories back to the yourself from some days ago, it has nothing to do with time leap to the past.

Anyway, I wouldn't have any interest in time leap, but I am 100% sure some people would want to time leap to the year 0.

1) Waits for next huge lottery draw
2) Write down answers
3) Time leap 1 month with the right answers
4) profit?!?

On a serious note, I would save it till my dying breath, and time leap back to the time when I was 5, and live a different life.

No, that's the D-Mail.

Other than that, just as you said, I'm fine with where I am. I'd like to live life as it comes.

woul send my parents a d-mail to 1986 that they should make a bank credit of 100.000 DMark (im german) to buy a shitload of microsoft stocks. today i would be a billionaire (around 5 billion) :D

1 share 1986 for 21$ is today over $7.000 worth coz they splitted them over the time.. 1 share = 288 splittet shares today.

Might as well buy bitcoins. Or buy the 10% Apple stake from the guy who sold it for $800 a long time ago.

Pretty much this. Both the lottery and going back to an early age both sound pleasing, although money more so for obvious reasons.

As mentioned trough the topic, i would 'cheat' in order to win the lottery. About myself, wouldn't do anything, my past is what brought to existence the person i am now and i'm fine with myself, so...

Assuming that the time leap machine is being used to accomplish this, I'd time leap to the time it was being made and destroy it, it's too dangerous to meddle with world lines.

I wouldn't time leap at all.

As seen in the show

So no, it's actually a big waste of time.
If you also give me access to D-mail however, I will consider.

On the bright side, we can do both.

If I was able to change things in the past I would go to the time where I was age 5 and I would be hailed as a boy genius since my mind would be a lot more advanced than any children. I also would use the experiences I had in my current life to live a better life

Time leap to when I was born and restart everything all over again. It's fun to daydream of things like this happening even if the voice in the back of my head tells me to face reality.

Not really.. I would not want to time-leap simply because the past is the past. And I've had good and bad experiences which helped me in being the person I am today.

If I went to the past with my current memories I'm pretty sure I would try to change things believing that it would influence the future me for the better.

And creating a temporal paradox would be one of the worst things that could happen to me now, since I'm really thankful for all my past experience.

Stein's Gate's Time Leap : Allows you to transport your memories/consciousness to the past. It doesn't change the world line you're in unlike D-MAIL. So absolute events, such as death of a person cannot be avoided.

On topic - I'll probably do the same way with the lottery.

I wouldn't because, as someone mentioned earlier, you can't really change any major events that occur within that world line. The only permanent changes we've seen in the anime were from him sending and "undoing" the effects caused by d-mails, and Operation Skuld, which was effectively triggered by a video d-mail sent by future Okabe. Plus, this question is kinda related to Steins;Gate and it kinda isn't. The driving force of the plot was Okabe's ability to time leap virtually without limit or consequence, not just once. Even if he had an infinite number of chances, he was faced with the idea that it wouldn't change the outcome and it pretty much drove him to insanity (by Einstein's definition of it).

This is part of the reason why I can't really accept the (Movie Spoilers):

Anyway, if I had an unlimited number of chances, I would just to test out how time behaves as you try to change things.

You guys can't time leap to before you were born >.> why send your memories into the past when there is no body?

I would time leap to 3 years ago when I started college so I can get a million H1s and buy all the lottery tickets.
