| The detail of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn was announced at Gundam Expo held on August 21st. It's a 50min x six-episode OVA series and will be released in the Spring of 2010 in Japan. Sunrise called Gundam UC "Cross-over Contents (diversified project?)", which involve Blu-ray/DVD releases, premiere at special events, streamings, and international licensing. Bandai plans a worldwide simultaneous premiere of the anime at conventions. According to Fukui Harutoshi, the first episode is based on the volume 1 and 2 of the original novel. If it were a film it would be rushed to hell like F91 and if it were a TV series we would get a dozen episodes of nothing happening in the middle of the series and shit art and animation that Sunrise would end up correcting for DVD releases. Nice job for once people planning this stuff. |

Animation for this is going to shit over 00 and 6x50 minute episodes is nothing to complain about. It's based on 2 light novels so if they split time evenly that's 150 minutes per light novel. That works out to be around the same length as 6 tv episodes, considering most light novel adaptions get 3-4 episodes per light novel that's more than enough time. And there's still 6 more novels to adapt, but hey lets whine instead and cry about shows like SEED and 00 getting 50 eps even though the main reason they suck is padded out bullshit. |
