THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I watched the movie at Theatre Umeda.

excellent.... such a beautiful happy ending!

I was already in tears when Mikiya told Shiki "I won't forgive you" halfway of the movie. The animations of the fighting scenes were great as usual but the touching voice acting by Sakamoto Maaya and Suzumura Kenichi was the most impressive.

Compared to the previous movies, chapter 7 was produced with no care of the limit of the length. I felt ufotable's enthusiasm to produce the movie as faithfully as possible. So enough duration was given to each scene, which resulted in some kind of reserves in the directions.

Applaud to all the staff involved. Thank you very much for producing such a great love story!

I'm glad that someone thinks about the same thing about movie 5!

I wished that I was still in Japan when it's aired (I was in Japan during the vacation). Now, like rest of the movies, I will have to wait for the DVD rip.

I saw it today in Japan.
I didn't understood everything, but I still liked it.
At the end of the movie, when the lights went on, a portion of the audience was in tears (...well, mainly girls, but the guy near me couldn't hold it neither).
Yes, it was a beautiful yet shocking movie, as expected from Nasu & ufotable.

Now I'm waiting for the DVD & subs.

It you go to Japan soon, go to Animate in Akihabara : they have lots of goodies you probably never heard of... but for KnK it's mostly shitajikis and "the plastic things you put your paper sheets in".
And a few high-quality posters with metallic reflections : they're already out of print for the earlier movies.
Shibuya's Mandarake still has a few copies of Mirai Fukuin (KnK ~8, released at last year's Comiket) for a cheap price.

And go to the "ufotable cafe" at ~1km from the Nakano JR station (at 10 minutes from Nakano's Mandarake) : they serve very good meals and drinks, and at the end you leave with a very limited (and ufotable cafe exclusive) "hardened paper thing to put your glass on" printed with images from one ufotable production or co-production. I had the blue KnK 7 one.
On the other side, expect to see a menu totally in Japanese with few images.
They also sell the storyboards from the 5 first movies and some (heavy) books with key animations.

That is so true. I hated the 6th movie and by far the 5th one is the best one of the bunch by a clear mile.

That was just, amazing. A truly beautiful masterpiece.
I was crying a lot through this movie too, but once the credits started rolling and I realized that it's over, I literally burst out in tears.

殺人と殺戮は違うんだ。覚えてる、コクトー?
人は、一生に一人しか人間を殺せない
Killer and massacre are different.remember kokuto?
human will always swear not to kill just one person.
After hearing shiki said this .I am quiet relieve that Kokuto is at least useful for sometime -.-

1995 she and he meets.....
1996 she fell into sleep in darkness and slow forget her humanity
1998 She crawl out from darkness and let live
1999 Everything she desire are destroyed.....should be destroy but chance are
given.
four year of endless killing in the long dread night. Her killing urge has begun.

The summary of 7 episode..
This is actually a very simple anime IF i don't look into the physiological part.
During the telephone call between shiki and kokuto is very interesting~
So.....This is her first murder?Cant believe 1 episode can change the whole view of the series =P

式。君を 一生、許さない
shiki,I wont forgive you
式。君を 一生、はなさない

Kinda romantic ~.^

I know, I wrote it while I watched. I know that male part of Shiki (male personality) died in the accident 4 years ago and the male Shiki in the movie is senpai. Sorry that my wording is misunderstanding. The part I said "Male Shiki is back" meant for returned from dead (as the feeling of that moment).

What a great way to end the 1st part of the Murder Speculation back in movie 2. I have to say this movie was very enjoyable, and it gave me some good closure. Some parts even had me teary eye. I guess all that's left is the epilogue now, and I can't wait to see how that ends the whole series.

It was pretty good, though I still liked the 5th better (perfer action over romance). It was kinda ruined by the fact that the review said it had a happy ending. Would have had a bigger impact if i didn't know Mikyia would still be alive in the end when he died. Spoilers in reviews are annoying. Happy endings are much better if you don't think it will be.

That was beautiful. I was hoping that Mikiya would stand up again, he 'died' much too quietly for his story to just there.

The visuals were stunning again, gets to me every damn time. Great voices again, too. I think I'll start rewatching it all over x-mas.

Probably the best Kara no Kyoukai movie, excluding Mujun Rasen of course. It made me sad, yet happy... moreover animation and cg were just perfect. However... It's still 9/10 for me - I dunno what will happen in 'Epilogue', but for now, this ending is not good enough for me - or maybe it's way too good... Also it's the most romantic movie of all - and it's not exactly what I was expecting... In the end it was great and I guess that after KnK5 I expected too much from this movie.

5>3>2->1-4->6 << episode six made me sleep

3>5>2=7>1=4=6 for me.

Regarding this last movie, it was a nice but unexpected happy ending with great fights, animation, direction (even if it was probably the slowest movie of all with the 4th one), atmosphere and music as usual. However, there were striking inconsistencies and the script was as slim as can be, even for a KnK movie. One hour would have been sufficient to tell the whole story, it would even have made it better. Oh and the last enemy of Kara no Kyoukai's scenario was as awkward and over the top as he was cheap, especially compared to Araya Souren, Asagami Fujino or Fujyou Kirie. Besides, this movie only focused on Mikiya and Shiki and the other characters, which was kind of a letdown. An average KnK for me, but still a very good movie overall.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

An amazing example as to why this series is so enjoyable. Both Shiki and Mikiya both show alot of worth as characters and the philosophy of murder was a nice movement point for them. The continuation of the truth of 4 years ago was also well done and Shiki's accident was no exception.

Now all that's left is the epilogue. Sad that that will likely be the last piece of new content Kara no Kyoukai cinema released, but also somewhat a relief since it's a series that doesn't really have the opportunity to be played out.

It was interesting. The ending was a little bit cheesball imo. Almost made me wish for an alternative darker twist, but it worked in its own way. Not 10 worthy though for how it upset the mood it had laid up. For a while it seemed the dark bad end was coming, then the good end poked its head out of now where.

Stunning. A conclusion at once tragic and uplifting. Those two final scenes balance each other so well.

As much as I loved the entire series, I felt even more caught up in each moment, probably because I knew it had to end. Kokutou searching the alleys (tension rising)... Shiki searching the alleys (tension rising)... the way it dragged, gah my heart rate! And then the fight with Lio where the music suddenly ceases and the brilliant sound design takes over.

Oh and since no one's mentioned it yet: that was quite the full house in the stop-motion intro. Gao!

I'd have to say I enjoyed this one the most. I'm a sucker for the romance. It even seemed easier to follow than the other ones. Might have given the movies a 10 overall if only I could have fully understood them. Never really have gotten the whole thing with the male Shiki; but whatever, I believe I understood most of the story and I found this to be a good ending.

to forcefully activate the "kigen kakusei",senpai use "prado chip(drug i guess)" which mix into his blood to stimulate himself. He try to mimic Shiki 2 years ago.
Its quite hard to believe Shiki only kill 1 person in this 7 episode(exclude zombie).

But at the Mujyun Rasen episode, during Senpai kill someone and he dunno what to do with the corpse.Araya said something bout eat the whole corpse to activate "kigen kakusei".After this incident, many murder cases appear.

Who could it be, Araya OR Senpai(shirazumi Rio) by the puppeteer of this game?

Araya did say something cool when he died(i think he died)...

Absolutely stunning, especially liked how the action scenes were spaced out. For a second I thought it would end as a tragedy with everyone dying in the building, but I'm glad it didn't happen.

It's sad knowing that there won't be anything left besides the epilogue now.
