| Kyoto Newspaper reported that a keion (light music) live concert was held at the model school of K-ON! on August 1st. The keion club members of the neighboring high schools played the theme songs of K-ON! in the costumes of the anime. Picture of the concert The model school is the old building of Toyosato elementary school and there are about one hundred visitors a day. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Toyosato town launched an executive committee to develop the local industry taking advantage of the popularity of K-ON!. | Well, so far, the show's impact is still holding. Would be nice if they had some actual live footage of this gig somewhere, am wondering if they also tried mimicking the voices. And I don't know what I like more, this school building actually being real (despite it being an elementary school) or it becoming some sort of K-ON! shrine for the fans to flock to. Too bad "Mio" is right-handed here, but it's the thought that counts. At least they tried. |
