Inspired by the Needless ED which I was assaulted by for the first time early this morning, tell us what moments in anime knocked you all the way to the back of the room. I'm not talking about a plot twist or a character death (or maybe I am). I'm talking about a scene so incredibly unpredictable and contrasting that it gave you mental whiplash. Spoilers welcome, so long as you mark them.

Code Geass R2 - Episode 21...just so hilariously bad and ridiculous at every turn that it left me reeling.

Getter Robo: Armageddon

The Ideon: Be Invoked

ZZ Gundam - The first time I saw the OP I about died of laughter.

Keroro Movie 3 - The North Korea joke and when it is proven that Keroro is best pilot for Gundam.

I don't know... I guess the opening sequence of Noein, which I randomly gave a try the other day. Yeah... really, really weird - and INSANE. The fact that the rest of the episode had seemingly nothing whatsoever to do with it makes me wonder if I should keep watching.

LOL, sorry. But that's why you don't look at spoilers when you're not done with the series. I wouldn't let just that big keep you from watching it though. The show was brilliant and definitely worth it. Just that one moment made me stop and think, "...wait what happened?"
