Combined episodes again. Happy new year special~
Spiderdude's power is really troublesome. Man, do they look ugly during their stage 2!!
Neji suffered many injuries, but he is now a changed man. Thanks to Naruto. Neji is now more awesome. I can still remember his hair falling down.
2 of them already mentioned Kimimaro.

I'm kind of confused; maybe someone can answer this for me.

So, when Neji uses the Eight Trigrams Rotation, he is using expelled chakra to deflect attacks, right? But...the spider guy said that the material his "kunai" were made out of (the same material he can secrete from his sweat glands and use as a shield) is impervious to chakra. So...how did Neji's defense technique have any effect?

Yep.This is what I hate about Shonens.You know the good guys are gonna win,but it's 100% it won't be from the first 5 minutes.It's so boring knowing that the good guy starts good,then gets outclased by the enemie,then he finds something to bet him, BUT HEY WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT? The enemie has a trump card and he's gonna use it,to "kill" the good guy,who has fallen from the trump card but HEY right before the bad guy leaves,the good one "wakes up" and finally beat him.
It happens every fking time...Same with Choji's fight,you knew he was gonna eat the red one from the beggining.If the artist would just jump over these annoying steps and sometimes a part beats the shit out of the other one,it would be so good.EXAMPLE:SASUKE VS ITACHI IN THAT FLAT.It was so surprising seeing Sasuke actually get beaten up even after he chanelled all his strength.This is how it should be done(at least from time to time).

Come on man,where is that Noragami season 3 masterpiece.We want it, Bones!

I've always really loved this fight. ;O;; Not just because I love Neji, but also because he really overcomes some nice obstacles. Like, you know what will eventually happen, but I found Kidomaru's image of a spider-like being to be more symbolic than anything. Something that kinda symbolizes more of a "you're trapped" idea which is something Neji has always been confronted with when it comes to the idea of not being able to defy destiny/fate. You get a little bit of the cheese, but I think it's well-done in general.
And gosh, I do like the visuals of it.
But also... Neji's just so cool. ;__;

This is definitely better than the Choji fight, but still not great to me.

Long camera pans are killing me.

If the hard (orange colored) web he is throwing is impervious to Chakra, it doesn't make sense for Neji to use his rotation and repel it...

still great fight though, the main reason for neji to not beat him right away is because he's using far-away techniques.

Animeguy17, are you absolutely sure you understand the definition of "impervious"? Kevlar is impervious to a single gunshot, but you can still shoot a vest off a hanger or knock back someone wearing it. Note the hard stuff never breaks, unlike the webs.

My main thing is why did Neji stay beneath the giant spider constantly having a fight off the little spiders rather than Retreat to a better position? And once he gets shot in the back, why not turn in that direction to eliminate the blind spot?

Most obvious answer is for the drama oh, of course. When does episode originally came out I was too caught up to notice, but during my rewatch certain (possible) glaring errors are jumping out at me.

I kind of want Shikamaru to do the next battle and then saving Sasuke can be up to Kiba and Naruto because they don't really like each other but they are so similar I think it would be good for them to do a battle together and win.
