| I like this Anime a lot so far but the way they act about him possibly being gay is kind of offensive. Especially where she says "I'm glad that someone I may be related to isn't gay" or something like that - I was a bit put off by that. I am watching the dub so I'm just curious if the sub is any different? |

I think she is glad because if he was gay they (Miina & Karen) cannot be with him. So she is glad that she has "at least" a chance. |

It's offensive, but it's also clear that she said that because of her feelings towards him, not because she hates gay people. Remember that this anime's 15 years old, and attitudes have changed considerably since then. I feel like this anime kinda comes in the middle of the transition from "we hate all the gays" to "sexuality doesn't matter", where "I don't hate gays but you better not be one" somehow sounded like a reasonable statement. Either way, I don't make a practice of judging older anime for modern morals, I just kind of treat them like historical relics. |

| The only way to get out of this dilemma is to find out that they are not actually related to Maiku, that Miina and Karen are actually twin sisters. I'm afraid this will drag on until ep 12. |
| Whole fucking episode of them repeating same thing over and over again for 20 mins. And these are kids. UNDERAGE KIDS. Most moronic plotline I've ever seen in an anime since "The Irregular at Magic High School". |
