| Guts helps to protect an outpost & defeats Basuzo, an axe-wielding knight. Afterwards he gets ambushed by members of the Band of the Hawk. He eventually gets taken down by the leader Griffith, who later on asks Guts to join him and his band. Guts refuses and the episode ends with him & Griffith in a duel, where the winner gets to decide the other one's fate. Other things of note are that Guts doesn't like to be touched. In a dream sequence, he also talks to a guy named Gambino, who apparently got killed by Guts in his childhood. |

| Starting to feel this a bit more. I actually quite like Griffith so far, he's a peculiar fellow. That dream was really fucked considering I've been spoiled a bit on Guts's childhood. That dude sitting naked with the dog still had me laughing though. |

| Damn what an episode. what power. what smooth animation. Griffith is mvp  i like how his hair flows in the wind. it makes him very beautiful.  man both berserk guts and griffith are so opposite. guts is brash while griffith is calm also casca i dont like her. smh she could have said no if she didnt like warming up guts' body. and its not like she was prostituted or something. and kicking him when he recovered smh. also dont interfere in battle between the two men. smh. griffith is certainly badass, overwhelming guts like that. band of the hawk too  they look like so ominous. and idk why guts is so averse to touching. homophobic due to trauma?  he runs naked, away from a giant monster.  my guess is that the orc or something attacked him when he was bathing and his father died due to some sorta altercation with guts due to some fight. maybe guts expected him to protect him but didnt. idk. but his obsession with huge sword seeems to be compensating for something. anyways, this series doesnt show what gruesome shit happened. smh. griffith reading guts like a book tho. damn he is observant |

| This is much better compared to the first episode. The first encounter between Guts and Griffith is done well. There is a bit of censorship (I can understand all the reasons) but it's fine if it delivers great action. I'm still fond of the '90s animation so it's fine for me. |
