Use this post to nominate 1 anime song. Read the rules over on the main page and don't forget to upload your track someplace.

All nominations will be closed after 10 tracks are nominated or until next Sunday rolls around. After that, we'll proceed to a voting phase. Feel free to discuss your nomination or other people's picks in this thread.

Theme: Piano
Not solo piano, mind you. I think that when people were tossing this topic around, they were looking for pieces where the melody relies on the piano a lot. If you want to blame someone for this, blame that Takefumi fella for composing some decent piano stuff, thereby influencing me to pick that instrument for this week's theme.

I knew my pick instantly.

Track Name: Kagiri Naki Tabiji
Anime: Turn A Gundam
Composer: Yoko Kanno
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USJkkji4SXw

the playful yet epic piano in this song is simply brilliant.

Hi all, new member.

Considered several pieces - still hoping someone nominates Tenmon, I was originally considering putting forward something from The Place Promised in Our Early Days but it's as much string-driven as it is piano - but in the end with a theme like this, there's one really obvious choice for me:

Song Title: Allegro Cantabile
Anime Title: Nodame Cantabile
Composer/Artist: SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITH

Arf, there are sooo many that I want to nominate... ;_;
But can only choose one... :'(

Track Name: Bokura no Jikan ~Memory~
Anime: Futakoi Alternative
Artist: eufonius

Song Title: Hakanai Yume ~Murasaki no Inshou~
Anime: kurenai
Composer: Ken Muramatsu
Link: http://www.imeem.com/people/uffpOX7/music/w7z9J-0j/muramatsu-ken-hakanai-yume-murasaki-no-inshou/

One of my favourites.

Title: Kiseki ga okoru basho [Place Where Miracles Happen]
Anime: Kokoro Library
Composer: Hogari Hisaaki
Link: here

Okay, so it cheats on the emotional effect in the end by busting out strings, but I heard "piano" and thought this. The Kokoro Library OST is fantastic anyway, so I had to use it sometime. It's also downsampled from a .ogg so there's going to be some hardcore audiophile complaints but I don't feel like dragging out my CD at the moment.

@2009digitalboy: NO FAIR USING YOKO KANNO'S MEATLOAF IMPERSONATION (<3 Kagiri Naki Tabiji).

If you didn't do it Omisyth, then i'm pretty sure i would have ended up choosing something from the Kurenai score. Muramatsu Ken is a master on piano.

Title: Sorrowful feather C2Rmix
Anime: ef - a tale of memories
Composer: Tenmon & Eiichiro Yanagi
Link: http://sharebee.com/4d0cdd28

There's a lot of piano related pieces from the two ef shows, though personally this one stands above all the rest. I'm pretty sure this won't be the only Temon piece which is nominated this time around.

I can think of a lot of good older stuff, but what the hell, I'll go with something new. This is my favorite OP of the summer season by far.

Title: Aoi Hana
Anime: Aoi Hana
Composer: Kukikodan
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCv-0OuR6eM (imeem http://www.imeem.com/people/5gjaV7x/music/XzjrgGAx/kukikodan-aoi-hana/)

Maybe a little light on the piano, but hey, it's in there the whole time.

I'm leaning against the inclusion of organ, harpsichord, and other piano-esque instruments for this week's theme.

Title: Suzuka -MAIN THEME-
Anime: Suzuka
Composer: Takumi Masanori
Link: http://www.imeem.com/people/MPKALk/music/4Y-_6Miw/takumi-masanori-suzuka-main-theme/

Yo, here's yet another nomination of mine that has the words MAIN THEME in its name...i certainly hope it'll be just as "popular" as the previous MAIN THEME. It's almost a solo piano but not quite...listen to the whole thing before rejecting it!

I had a hard time choosing for this theme, but I decided to pick this one. ^^;;

Song Title: Midnight Summer Dream
Anime Title: Someday's Dreamers
Composer: Haketa Takefumi

Recruiting totally does work.
Also everyone has some beloved piano pieces.
More of a guitar man myself.

This.

Also, /r/ a best bass guitar week, or a best drums week. Because I always end up playing support instruments for some reason.

Piano pieces, how can I not participate. The one I am most personally connected for play is this piece (+similarity with aerith's theme ;_;):

Composer: Yuki Kajiura
Anime: Le Portrait de Petite Cossette

I'm sure this is a theme we can probably visit again. It's not like there is a shortage of songs to nominate.

i think we should do a solo piano week. just to kick up the difficulty a notch. looks like we can handle it plenty.

Preferably it would be split up into Acoustic and Electric. Heck we could have a dual nomination week.

& the composer isn't Sanae Kobayashi, she just sings it. The composer is Kaoru Wada.
