Yeah, it works! Thanks for the quick reply :) This was the first time I've used the "Override Anime Name" feature. I knew it was somewhere in the episodes right-click settings, so after renaming it in MALU, it recognizes them. At first, I tried renaming the files according to the exact title, but since no colons are allowed in the name and since only "Nekomonogatari 01" failed, too, I've only added the folder manually and used the manual updating feature. ![]() |

Fate Zero (2012) - 01[2012][UTW](D0E76642)[AniDB] through Fate Zero (2012) - 11v2[2012][UTW](544CD7E0)[AniDB] being recognized as Fate Zero season 1. Tried changing file name to Fate Zero (Season 02) -01 and the updater still called it Season 1. Not surprised. ![]() |

[HorribleSubs] Saekano - 01 [720p] http://myanimelist.net/anime/23277 Saekano is in alternative names, but prolly because it's "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend", malu gets confused. ![]() |
http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=23199 [DeadFish] Durarara!!x2 Shou - 02 [720p][AAC] [HorribleSubs] Durarara!! X2 - 01 [480p] Depends on subber, some have space before "X2". Overriding search name with "Durarara" or "Shou" doesn't let full scan find them either. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=27655 [Thunder] Aldnoah Zero - 13 [720p] [DeadFish] Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season - 02 [720p][AAC] Can't find. Override as "Aldnoah" or "2nd" doesn't work either. Ep13 refers to 2nd Season ep1. So the count depends on which subber, whether they mention "2nd Season" or not. It's messy, so maybe just support one of the counters. ![]() |
[HorribleSubs] Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches - 01 [720p] http://myanimelist.net/anime/28677/Yamada-kun_to_7-nin_no_Majo_(TV) Would it be possible to have MALU recognize this? ![]() |
I'm reasonably sure it isn't doing it because the english isn't listed as an alternative title so maybe we should ask someone to do that? ![]() |
[BakedFish] Mobile Suit Gundam_ Iron-Blooded Orphans - 04 [720p][AAC] [DeadFish] Mobile Suit Gundam_ Iron-Blooded Orphans - 03v2 [720p][AAC] http://myanimelist.net/anime/31251/Mobile_Suit_Gundam:_Iron-Blooded_Orphans Not recognized, it seems to match toward "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" (in my ptw). Overriding search name to "Orphans" doesn't help. ![]() |
[HorribleSubs] Tales of Zestiria the X - 01 [480p].mkv http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=30911&referer=malupdater -Not recognized at all [HorribleSubs] Berserk - 01 [480p].mkv http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=32379&referer=malupdater -Recoginzed as the older Berserk season -over rid the name to [Berserk] still recognizes the file as the previous season. If I had to rename the file [Berserk 2016] it would be easier to manually update it instead of having to rename each newly Downloaded Episode. LOVE MALU btw xD ![]() |
DAYS - 03 (1280x720 HEVC2 AAC).mkv http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=32494&referer=malupdater is being recognized as 91 Days in the torrents plugin. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=32998&referer=malupdater 91 Days is in my list. DAYS is not. Presumably, the number in the name is getting ignored, which is causing the match. ![]() |
For some reason MPC isn't being detected no matter what video I play. I just recently found out that KCP was no longer being updated ( was using a version from like Auguest last year lol ) so started using this: https://imouto.my/tutorials/watching-h264-videos-using-compute-unified-device-architecture-cuda/ I was using the 32-bit MPC beforehand but the one above uses 64-bit. Is that why it's not being detected? I already have MPC (all versions) added in the Anime Recognition settings. VLC works perfectly fine and is being detected. ![]() |

I'm including my found problems at my newer anime folder, too. Informations: MAL Updater v. 2.97 internal Harddrive. using the japanese equivalent of standard types (?, /, :) for correct names. Hello! First of all, thank you for your hard work on the updater. I've started using the VLC player version you install through the windows store and MALU doesn't pick up any plays. Is this player supported or only the desktop version one? Thanks in advanse for your help! ![]() |

Do the titles have to include the name of the show for it to work? Obviously it does. Neither MALU or MAL really have episode titles. And even if they had, it'd be a hell of a mess if titles would be recognized by ep titles. You need either "Boku dake ga Inai Machi" or "Erased" (since you overwrote the name in MALU apparently - without API, MALU won't recognize anime by alternative titles ATM, I think) before episode number. ![]() |
