The anime brings cultural awareness to the rental boyfriend/girlfriend industry. We’re all looking for human connection. Its really foreign to me though. Its not prostitution but the connection is very artificial/fake. I could be wrong but at least the anime is true to the source material. This isn’t a plot show or romance with a satisfying conclusion. It is the dumpster fire seasonal hype train. The same reason we read Metamorphosis or worse. Its hard not to look and we’re all into some weird shit. The music is probably the best part of the show to me but the drama is a side dish or main course if that’s what you’re into. Waifus sell its like the Star Wars merchandising. I’d make a waifu show/manga too if I had any artistic talent. Money equals success any entrepreneur influencer mangaka should know this. They’re min/maxing content its not high caliber but a lot of fans or haters are satisfied or lack the restraint to not watch it.

Might watch a season 2 recap on YouTube to save time. Curious on the music they chose for this season. I also lack restraint but the spoilers told me don’t spend hours on this one series for the plot or character development.

I watch it for the main character , because this lad is unique unlike other perfect protagonists ,that is what makes the show interesting

The manga was trash and the show is trash, there is no doubt about that. But why are you watching this for the waifus? All of them (except Sumi) are just a bunch of toxic bitches.

As someone who disliked the manga but kept up reading to see how it ends i can only say that it wont get better and that it will actually become worse. Dropped the manga a while ago and never started S2 ofc, if you dislike it at this point then just drop it.

I definitely don't "prefer" it but it is more relatable. Kaguya sama is a 10/10 show but has the hs setting and Kag and Miyuki actually found (Mutual) love at that age (16/17/18) compared to us so I guess so it's a bit harder to watch cause we wanted that and were denied/given options we didn't want.

RaG and Kazuya are VERY relatable. People think college students are so grown up but they really aren't. They can be immature, selfish, unethical and not have the best social skills or not have the ability to "read the vibe" like other kids do. I just started believing in vibes like last year because it's something you have to experience and no one is going to explain it to you. I didn't even try to socialize like that (with girls) until my Jr year of college (covid reasons too) so It's been a very frustrating process to even make and maintain friends that are girls, as well as the one I wanted to bone giving me massive resistance compared to my friends. 4 of my friends has sex with 4 girls that rejected me for example and one of those were in HS when I was kinda trying back then.

RAG is very repetitive and the story progression is slow from reading ahead in the manga to the end of this season but I'll still watch the anime because of the girls and the Kazuya moments that hit way too close to home so often.
