U must’ve missed an episode, he was working for a off the books company 14-16 hours a day 7 days a week with no days off and literally died from overwork. And u also didn’t see the god tell him his mind is regressing to his new age so he won’t be anything like he used to be. I still agree it would be weird to date a 12 year old but if u go by what ur saying he would have to marry a girl that is closer to Elias moms age or be alone forever and this isn’t that kind of show. You’re right about everything expect about how he died. He didn’t die from overwork. It explains 15 minutes into episode 1 that he died due to sneezing 4 times in his sleep, slipping off his bed, then hitting his head on the floor leading to hemorrhaging in his brain. Well your right about that but u can sneeze from sleep deprivation lol. Not getting enough sleep can decrease function in your immune system. Either way I shouldn’t have responded to that guy he’s insane |

Yes this week is indeed the end of the anime fall 2020 (for those who only get 12 eps) nothing is too good in this anime, but I still enjoy it, yes, if there is season 2 I will watch it and it also seems that ryoma and elia's breakup was quite touching looks like 6.5 / 10 is enough for this anime |

This anime was great and the staff did a great job adapting what they did. [8/10] The producers made me remember the Aria series with the opening theme, ending theme, and the portion of the story they presented. For those considering in the novel: The anime only presented the kind and caring portion of the early parts. The anime didn't show the everyday darkness of the human heart from the novel. |

"I always support what I enjoy watching!" Ew. Gross. Also, That part where every character wishes him congratulations just reminded me of NGE. Ummm...This anime was okay. I liked some episodes but was pretty bored in others. The laundry service "arc" was the best part. I'm a bit torn between a 5/10 and a 6/10 tbh. I'll be generous and give a 6/10 for now but I probably wouldn't watch another season. |

Is it just me or this last episode (12) had terrible art/animation to compare with other episodes ? Anyway great anime I wish there were more animes like that - slice of life in fantasy medieval world (especially with isekai) without fights/betrayals/annoying screaming etc.. Most of slice of life are made in modern age and thats too boring for me (because I live in the same age so nothing special that might get my attention, in the future world it would be the same) but fantasy medieval ones are really rare and mostly great made. |

Whelp, that was fun while it lasted, and now it's over. And with the show's score being what it is, I somehow doubt that they're going to meet again in three years time, at least not in anime form for a season 2. At least there's still the manga, I suppose. |

I wasn't fond of this anime. It didn't really offer much. It was pretty much a guy who died who was reincarnated as a kid who pretty much had a solution for everything and never really had to struggle with anything as he got praised for everything. I have to ask, what's the point? Why was this written? Just simple escapism? Okay, but like even with that it doesn't actually make someone trying to escape feel good. We just didn't really establish a bond with our main character, and that's a shame. Meanwhile, I said this on the last episode, but the animation was minimal. Just above bare minimum. I'm not even talking about the CG animation. I don't mind that at all. It's just the animation in general that just... well last episode I noted that it was really just frames of lip flaps and a little movement here and there to make it look like more was going on when... nothing was really going on. And then we had a bunch of copy pasting. This episode wasn't free from that either. I don't think any episode was free from that. The epitome of minimal animation. Honestly, none of these characters were very intriguing. There is not even one that I can say I liked. I still don't know why they have Ryouma penned as socially awkward when Hughes is a lot more socially awkward than him. Ryouma just seems normal and they decide to use that character trait whnever they feel like it just for the sake of humor for the most part. This anime gives you nothing to hold on to. The little depth it could have had it decided to push away. I leave this anime feeling more empty than anything when it could have been a lot more. Heck, the idea of being reincarnated could have been left out and we still would have gotten the same idea ASIDE from how Ryouma kept trying to make sure he didn't run his business crappily. That being said, I thought the episodes with Ryouma starting the laundry business were the best parts of the anime. I wish that was honestly a more prominent part of the show because it directly made parallels and references to Ryouma's work life beforehand. I thought it was very interesting to see Ryouma try so hard not to be a bad boss in this new life. I think that's a great topic to explore. Because yes, being a boss can be really hard. You want to be fair, but you also want things to be as productive as possible. Also, funds. Who to hire. Yadda. I was so much more involved in the show during that little arc. There could have been a lot more meaningful content with that part-- perhaps more of those "OH MY GOSH, I didn't factor this part in" type of realizations that he had. But instead, they once again went for the "Ryouma's the hero and savior" route, which I was used to at that point and was willing to ignore if we got more fun times at the laundromat. Unfortunately, we moved on from that and spent the last two episodes with the copy-pasted birds-- in which honestly, we didn't really gain anything from these last episodes either, in my opinion. Yippee, they're powerful enough to contract many creatures-- and powerful, rare ones too. We already knew that or assumed that. So not only were the last episodes a bit of a waste but I feel like we missed an opportunity with the laundromat. Sighs. Oh well... |

Eliaria was really cute but Ryouma is a bad influence if you ask me, all he deserves are shit slimes it matches the kind of persone he is. Sorry to say this, but this is a result of you not really paying attention and the adaptation being so short. It was mentioned by the gods that his mind will regress to the child to accomodate the body. It's perfectly normal for him to feel and act more childlike. And you don't get why he hated his past life? well, that is because his past life was literally a dark hell. Why do you think he lived 3 years after reincarnation alone, not even trying to find any city or humans. It goes into more depth in the novel later on, so SPOILER. I mean really big spoiler. The god of Earth was playing with Ryouma, making his life totally miserable. Going from bulliying, to being abused by his father the whole childhood. The god even flamed him for crimes etc. Also giving Ryouma bad emotions and making him purposely strong to see when Ryouma goes mad and kills people around (this resulted in his mental pain endurance being max level and is main reason why Ryouma is so damn strong). His only safe line was his mother, who also died ofc. This fact btw stays as a problem even later on in the novel, where Ryouma sometimes gets a really scary urges. This anime is short and covers only few first chapters of novel where Ryouma is with the Duke¨s family. The real story only begins after it, when he is alone and has to develop alone and manage every situation alone. While novel is 10/10 for me, this anime was not so good adaptaiton. Sometimes boring, sometimes weird animation. Ryouma also being weird many times. 6-7/10 for the anime in the end. Was still ok to watch. |

The novel is regularly being translated as the author publishes new chapters. It has 230+ chapter currently. There are two versions, look for Reboot one, as that is a revised one going in different direction and the original was cut off by author. You can find it by searching "The man picked up by the gods reboot" Btw, the novel is 10/10 masterpiece. The anime can't even compare. |

I'm really enjoying this. Never seen isekai anime without conflicts, I guess people don't like this because it doesn't have twisting dark story. ----- @Clarian Do you read the novel? I want to ask about something. In earlier episodes, Eli called Ryoma by 'sama' but suddenly in the middle she change it to 'san'. The reason was not explained, it made me curious. |

Ok wow, i've found it. The dark horse of this season so far. A show i was expecting zero from it, that managed to punch me hard and right in the face changing my initial expectations of it. This show, for a Slice of Life, it sure knows what its doing. And it's genius at it. Ryouma was such an interesting character, has a wide range of knowledge of many things, mainly slimes (wich turned out to be quite the awesome and convinient helpers throughout the show), is always calm and has a pure soul. Man, when he opened up his own business and when he wanted to improve himself without relying on others, deep inside i've just found myself rooting for him ahah, the kid deserves it! Another thing i want to point out is that the side characters are all super loveable and all of them support Ryouma, in the same way Ryouma helps and supports all of them with his slime knowledge and magic skills. Overall, yes, the SoL genre as a whole doesn't have much to offer beyond wholesome stuff and characters doing cute stuff but this one just resonated with me somehow, i can't explain it ahah, i liked it so much! 8/10 will we get another season? I need to see Ryouma's business evolve further! |

This show bored me to tears... almost zero tension, zero challenges, and zero development. Every time I see Ryouma enter a scene I can almost hear this song playing... "I'm on easy street! And it's such a treat!" Sure, it's "Slice of life" and so I don't expect people to start trying to kill each other, but c'mon. |

Slimes and chill. What i expected and what i got. BUT... I would have liked it a lot more without the constant pampering towards the mc, it was a bit much. Better animation would also help, but its a slice of life so doesn't make that much difference imo. I would still watch another season, but i think this was kinda bad |

Poor Eli. She looked like she was going to cry when she turned away from Ryouma. Was a perfectly fine isekai. Barely any conflict at all. I was quite fond of everyone being so nice, despite Ryouma basically being a child prodigy. You'd think people would be jealous, but they were all quite supportive of him. The laundry business was definitely the best part of the show. Very fun. |

This anime certainly wasn't bad, there wasn't much uniqueness to it being that there have been so many isekai anime and I actually like isekai anime, especially when you see the person grow throughout the story. But this was like take the best isekai points and put them together and pour some generic water over it to get your isekai soup of an anime. So yea in general not bad, there's room for a lot more, but then again it was quite generic. |

It just went through the motions and in the end nothing really happened. At first I thought the setting was pretty interesting. An isekai with an OP protagonist is pretty generic, but the fact that he did not know just how much overpowered he was, as well as being such a naive and clueless person I though one of the groups he met would at one point try to take advantage of his talents. First you meet the duke's family, then multiple guild people, then adventurers, then workers, etc. etc. but all of them are just incredibly nice people and... everything works out. You don't even see the antagonists of the show, other people take care of them. Maybe the audience was burnt out people who just wanted to project themselves onto Ryouma and go throught the motions with him? But even then, after finishing this anime you're back to square one because nothing happened... |

Gotta say that this turned out far more enjoyable than expected, especially towards the end. I would like to say that if you really are very much jobless, watch this anime. This legit has no catch, no villains, no bad things, no deaths. Ryoma is super OP. He friend zones Elia and she does the same… The show has zero romantic elements. The fights are non-bloody. There is nothing shady. I mean I would have appreciated a hug at least between Ryoma and Elia… That is also something that we never got. To be honest, the ending of the opening for this anime is quite misleading, because neither Ryoma nor Elia develop any sort of feelings for each other. Ok fine I will admit that they are like 11 years old… but still come on. It was fun to watch, I won’t disagree upon that… but it was not boring as well. I thought that it would be ultra-boring… because there is no reason to keep watching the anime. There was barely one cliff hanger we got during the show. Not saying it was utter trash, but it is one of those shows you can show your 4-year-old or maybe even 3/2-year-old. So, yea I unfortunately wasted my time. Also, an isekai can be made at least a little relatable, but this anime goes out of its way and makes every aspect of the show impossible to believe… that was annoying, making it a kid show. I would give it a 7/10… I will not really remember this anime or the characters. I might remember it as that one isekai where the protagonist was very very OP, and nothing could stop him. Like legit, there was nothing that this guy could not do. Whatever task that was considered hard/ very hard, Ryoma would master it within a few cuts in the episode… I have mixed feelings for this show. Would not really recommend this show to anyone. |

Man what i hated with this episode was because it was the last one. To me the show was awesome very episode for me was just what my mind and heart needed. Shows like this one and Yuru camp or to me like harvest moon/ stardew valley is form games. Which is something calm and relaxing and just makes me feel warm an smile. Reason i love that type of anime/games is because it's a nice change from action or horror and such. Plus i love it because it makes mme feel so good after watching or playing them. Some people love sad animes or pur action like dbz and such sure I do to but i have a special love for these typed of anime that may seam boring to other. I rely rely hope for a season 2 that would make me most happy. |

I wish they elaborated a bit more on Ryouma's infantile regression to conform to his body's age. May not have good action and no real challenging moments but I quite enjoyed this lighthearted slice-of-life isekai where the mc just lives a peaceful lives with some new good friends thanks to the help of the benevolent gods. |

The main purpose of the mental regression thing that was established this episode was most likely to make the relationship between Ryoma and that little girl, which they are obviously going for, less weird I love it when people "forget" about key-parts just for their "assumptions" and opinions to be valid -.- Nowhere in this series is shown that Ryoma is anything but a child with adult knowledge, which means... well basically that, that he is a kid that has knowledge about stuff like an adult. People are forcing the "34yo inside 11yo body" theory a little too much. The series itself explains that it is based on theories that we are not used to, like "reborn" and "age regression", but they still don't care about the facts AND based like IRL. Why not just enjoy the series and don't mind about things that (1st they are impossible, and 2nd) nobody understands fully. Just relax and have a good time. (and don't destroy other's people joy) not to mention a kids biology also prevents kids to be with fully adult mind/maturity sure some are more mature but it has its limit, brain needs to grow/dev so if u put adult in child's body hes maturity will degrade to |

My 161st completed series chronologically. For the record, I extended it a 7/10 rating. |

The isekai shows about slightly overpowered or amazing main characters that try to lead simpler , peaceful lives has really begun to take off as its own sub genre in anime over the last 5 ish years. This definitely was of that ilk , and actually the most satisfying of that type yet. I really like how they still had rpg elements and adventure, though it would have been better if they realyl went furthr into the waysand adventures that could be gad in the world. Still, it was enjoyable. Solid 7/10!! ^~^ SLIMES!! lol Lotta cute moments. Wholesome. I am glad theres gonna be a 2nd season!!! SO STOKED! :) |

I thought many times that things went just too easy in this anime. The people were so kind, patient, forgiving, grateful, and appreciative! Probably, this is why things went so smoothly. If people were like this in real life, things couldn't possibly go otherwise than smoothly. It feels very unrealistic, but come to think about it, it wouldn't be impossible if all people would strive to be like that. However, I know very well what it means to deal with your own darkness. Sometimes, I don't even perceive the traitor in myself. So, a world like Ryouma's remains out of reach for now. Though I was expecting this anime to become boring because of its perfect world, it wasn't. In fact, it had a healing effect on my troubled heart. Ryouma particularly, and other characters, reminded me of the company of very few people that made me feel rested by their mere presence. |
