| I enjoyed this. Really cute start. :) I've read the manga before (but it was on hiatus IIRC) and while I like little Kaoruko, it's Koyume who really caught my attention. She looks pretty in here just as she was in the manga. This is my CGDCT anime of the season. >3> |

| That was great, I knew this would be good. :D Love all the girls already, Koyume is my favorite so far but they're all great. The dynamic is great, really fun and entertaining. I like the premise too and boy was the art on Tsubasa'as manga really good. :O Looking forward to more. |

Well, I think it's safe to say that Koyume is going to be my favorite and best grill of this show. Bubbly personality, big tits, and wears just a bra with her pajamas partially unzipped so we get to constantly see them....yea I'm 1000% ok with this.  |
| Oh my lord, yes. Thank you, Nexus, this is exactly the kind of adaptation I was hoping for. Holy hell, that was one hell of a good first episode. it's full length, the animation is almost on a Slow Start level, it's a faithful adaptation... what more could an avid fan of the manga like myself ask for? =w= Maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit, but unless the first episode was a complete fluke, this will be one of my favorites of this season. By god, Nexus is an amazing studio :3 |

| Man is this show my weakness CGDCT + bakuman in a dorm setting wasn't even my normal reaction of hoping it might turn out good right out of the gate all the characters were fun to watch like how they play with their weaknesses girls are too damn cute for real one of em being a porn artist is great animators at this Nexus studio must be pretty darn good some of the movement was so fast and fluid |

| Nice. It's like GochiUsa x Nozaki-kun. The characters are not trying too hard to be moe and comedy is good. Not hilarious but makes me chuckle and smile. That's enough. Love the blond-haired girl (sry, still don't remember names). Am I the only one who thinks purple-haired girl is a LOT similar to Rize from GochiUsa??? |

| Comic Girls Episode 1 Impressions: I had my eyes on this anime ever since learning about its premise of cute girls making manga. However, I was really skeptical because I thought this could end up going to a New Game! direction where it does not explore its subject, being nothing more than an average SoL with sprinkled character growth and relatable situations for a really small demographic. What I got from Comic Girls was a bit surprising. To get the major cons out of the way, I will start by saying that the pacing of character introductions/developments drive by too fast. The subjects being explored by characters are interesting, but I never got the time to sink in each character’s goals/motivations. Second, I find the character reactions to be over-exaggerating. The reactions get to a point where it clashes with the down-to-earth mangaka situations the anime is trying to convey. But, there were many things I liked, the first being the visual narrative direction. I found myself paralleling my previous experience of Comic Girls to Hidamari Sketch frequently whenever I saw scenes being visually directed playfully. There is a bit of a SHAFT vibe got me attached to the experience in certain times. Second is the animation. Dear god, has animation for artists drawing art truly evolved? Multiple times, there was animation scenes that made my jaw drop low, when I saw how much emphasis was on the actual drawing being drawn. It is not spot on accurate, but it is definitely a huge step forward for the Japanese animation industry. Thirdly, the character Tsubasa Katsuki. Although her screen-time was rather rushed, I was quite impressed by her focused nature and how she approaches drawing manga. Her openness and willingness to help out the other characters gives me hope that will she will be the driving force for the anime to delve into interesting topics regarding the real struggles of creating manga. So far so good for a 4-koma CGDCT series. I like this anime way more than New Game!, but Comic Girls really needs to slow down and take its time delving into its characters/topics for the next episodes. Not my cup of tea with the direction they took for this opening episode, but there is promise. |

| what’s with all of this cinematography, very fluid movement, sweet amount of DOF and blooming effect happening in this episode, with all the light and heartwarming colours all over, this has a monogatari/nisekoi feelings for the background. this is some movie quality stuff, especially the cinematography. whoever direct this first episode is beast, considering this is a CGDCT. (im sorry, i just had Junji Ito: Collection, so i am shocked with this cute stuff) i love the introduction of all the characters, i like Kaos and Rikka already, imma root for both of them, Kaos clumsiness and her effort later on may become an interesting development to be see. the comedic antics is also pretty good, i rarely watch CGDCT so i can’t talk much. oh god i shouldn’t watch this, my first intention was finding Hinamatsuri, imma stick with it right now. solid opening |

Apart from that, this season does indeed seem weak for slice of life, at first glance it has more comedy and romance shows. Fumikiri Jikan, which airs next week, looks interesting too, although by the trailer I'm not sure if it'll be more sol or comedy-oriented. |

| Oh my, this series is much more moe than I anticipated. Moeblob series of the season. The MC is so adorable, makes sense even her real name has "moe" in it. So far the series seems like Hidamari Sketch but about manga with Gochiusa level of moe. Also, Ruki is best girl. Change my mind. |
