Sure he made KnK 5 (with help) But he also did Gyo and God Eater which I dont think its bad, but not great. I feel like ppl overrate him because he got to direct the most epic part of the KnK movies Well his action sequences were great in KNK5 and GOd Eater despite as crappy as it was (it was clear he is not all into that and is bored working on it), still had cool action shots there and there. In regards to the HF director I think the movie was really well directed. This guy acknowledges that monologues are important ( hehe) Ehh at this point I can only hope he can direct good action. Thats about as much I expect from HF with how adaptations went. Story is impossible to do right at this point. Yeah but I have to disagree on the action in God Eater (except the last episode) The action doesnt have good animation. Sometimes awkward slow motion and is often just about mowing down aragami ( no tension) and almost looks cheap (Look at episode 2 of God eater for example) Not really his fault he Storyboarded all the episodes of God Eater as fast as he could and there was no time for the animators to do good action, he is definitely their best and try to check his other stuff while the stories are not great he does his best to make them interesting I have watched KnK 5 and Gyo( which he storyboarded and directed and all and it turned out to be pretty shitty). I think you are giving him too much credit for doing Knk 5 He also worked on absolutely brilliant Texnolyze and directed the masterpiece that was last episode of deathnote Even with god eater, directing and style is pretty much the only redeeming qualities of it. He didnt work on the last episode of Death Note and I havent seen Texnolyze, but he was an episode director and worked under Araki (One of the acclaimed directors around). But I see your point He worked on ep 36 of death note and he worked with Satoshi Kon before. |

A trilogy? That's great to hear, at least we wouldn't have another DEENUBW with all the content rushed and explained bad. Wait to the 2017 is just an small price to pay, if not that 2016 doesn't have already interesting animes to air. |

He literally did all the character designs for the kara no kyoukai movies which is pretty cool and this guy is a huge step up for mirua anyway. Also I think mirai wasn't as good as the other's because of the source material not this guy. But yeah this is fucking hype although we just have to pray these aren't kizumonogatari length "movies". 90 minutes at the minimum and 2 hours ideally for each film. |

F/SN I couldn't get into whatsoever. It almost soured the memory I had of F/Z. But seeing how this is hyped to the max, and dedicated three entire movies (assuming it's in order to properly adapt it) aaand seeing how I like the supposed heroine, I'll give it a go. |

Ok...assuming each movie is 90 mins longs. That's about...12 episodes. Should I be worried because UBW got 26 episodes? But then again, the 2nd half was really dragged out just so they can fill their 13 episode quota. Anyways, glad the movie got a release date. Althouh, it sucks that I have to wait 12 or more extra months just to get my copy of HF (I'd like to support ufotable, after all). There's no way in hell I would travel south of the border just to see the limited theatrical release of HF, if Aniplex US were to hold one. |

Everything else is like Lancer vs Archer or Saber vs Lancer during the prologue. The big fight in the forest is the only one that could cover an entire ep like ep3 of UBW. Nine Bullet Revolver may be long because the 99% of fight is one big monologue but that just it. The can also mix some Emiya household scenes.I am more worried about Ilya's scenes. |

Well they've already spoiled ilya in UBW. They do need an interesting way of conveying the monologues this time compared to the UBW anime. Or at least they need to show that all the internal thoughts are occurring during fights and stuff instead of stopping like they did during the answer in UBW. |
