| Well, I see there isn't an introduction thread yet, so I decided to make one (hopefully, it will get more than five posts) Basically, say something about yourselves. How long have you been into manga/anime? Where do you live? What do you do? What are your skills? Of course, you can say anything you want. Well then, I'll start first. My name is Georgi (same as my username) and I am Bulgarian. I live near Montreal and will start studying at McGill University this fall. I started watching anime rather recently, around two years ago, and along with it I started reading a bit of manga. Before that, I used to play a lot of computer games, though compared to gamers I wouldn't say I played much. Right now I don't play games at all, and I almost never watch television. I guess my special skill has always been to question, and to try and solve problems. New things and situations intrigue me. Another aspect of me is that once I get focused on something, I can ignore all that surrounds me. This leads to addiction problems, but it also allows me to achieve a lot when it comes to school related activities. I am a soccer fan, but don't go out of my way to watch games. I simply like to play the game. I also sometimes write stories in my free time, though I realize they are mostly crap. Oh, and I like to mess around with my laptop and try new software all the time - my browser, mail program, music player, whatever, get changed at least once every month; I also switch my operating systems, which has allowed me to pass from noob to amateur when it comes to linux. Gah, this is getting too long. Enough is enough, write about yourselves now. Go! |

I'm in my final highschool year, trying to pull my head out of these forums and studying some more. Been about 2 years since I've got anime syndrome and about 1 year for manga one. I play (not so much now) a MMO and I love cycling. Got no real special skills but I'm not to bothered about it. I'm a genuate rocker with the t-shirts and long hair. | ight i got some time XD Names Alex and i live in Canada, Ontario XP, 17 in high school taking dono what...<.< physics, french, advanced functions, graphics design, animation next year im taking calculus, advanced functions, physics, chemestry, french, english, philosophy, graphics design XD in terms of personallity...i guess i vary...im the type that does what is lacking of XD and i have a lot of friends...its funny really since im completely lazy yet i am extremely fast (was on the track on field team a lot cause i was bored) and pretty well fit in terms of muscle...not over muscular though since i dont work out...just sports and push ups/chin ups/sit ups daily XD....but i love games so im lazy =P i got ADHD and basically if a class or my group of friends im hanging out with at the time is very talkactive or loud...i sit back and listen...stay quite...observe...play psp XD but if the class is quite or the group of friends isnt really talkative...im the most talkative person there XD i have a wide veriety of friends ranging from people...well i don wana name groups but it would be faster this way XD i have friends in the Jocks/Preps/Geeks/Nerds/Anime/Games/pretty much all XD...even some who do drugs...though i myself dont =P i still have friends who do XD in terms of games i pretty much like anything thats good...started out liking strategic games like starcraft/C&C =P then my step-bro got me into FPS like BattleField 2 specifically...though im not a big fan of halo...to much of a rip off BattleField 1942 <.< also before getting into FPS i got into RPG''s thanks to my uncle like Final Fantasy =P first one was number 3 or 4 for the super nintendo (in japan its number 6 =P) now before i say what im going to say next im not a game addict im just really board since i got nothing much to do except hockey which is about...2 hours a day <.< and since i live in a tiny town not much of my friends live around here so i got nothing to do...especially after the bike trails were bulldozed down and a fine got put up cause kid broke his arm 3 times and complained... i sleep around 1-5 hours a night...because if i sleep more i feel like shit...my sleeping time is litterally 1-5 hours at a time so if i sleep 2 times...i might do 3 and 3 hours...= 6 hours total so i feel like shit... i modded my psp so i play psp around 12-16 hours a day now XD at school especially since my teachers are annoying and dont know wtf they talking about...except my physics teacher =P in terms of anime and manga i used to (dont do it as hard core as i did Y.Y just not as many interesting series that perk my interest to do what i used to) starting from March 2008 to june 2008 slept around 1-3 hours a night and played games only 2-5 hours a day...the rest was spend on reading manga and watching anime i would litterally go through a series of manga and the same series in anime in 1 day...3 maxx...longest was fruits basket manga which took me a total of 3 days to read it all XD i go through anime usually in one go...so like a series like gundam seed i will watch it all on the weekendwatching 25 eps 1 day and the rest the next...or if i dont have time due to other things i will watch 5 eps a night XD but before i used to do it all daily =P but i lost my interest that i had when i used to do it i also play visual novels XD so far ive finished castle fantasia 2 renewed, fate/stay night, wanko to karusou, Kanon, Tsukihime, and Princess Waltz im still trying to get done castle fantasia 2 100% ive done...like 5/8 routes...wanko to karusou only did 1 outa 2 i think XD, and tsukihime i need to beat all but 1 route lol im also planning on playing around 3 ive already dled and 5 more (wish i could actually BUY the dam cd's but no one sells any around here Y.Y) in terms of other stuff im pretty decent when it comes to graphics XD (check my profile) and im starting to get pretty good with animation and video production though all this is just for fun...im not going into this field XD (video i did theres a link on top of my profile i think XD) thats about it for now...bye bye XD |

| Oh! I was gonna introduce myself a while ago but I forgot :P My name is Courtney, and I live in Canada too! In Alberta. I'm 17 as well......I'm in my last year of high school (thank god it's almost over) and I'm a major bookworm. I love to read anything supernatural, or just anything really. I love wolves, and Chocolate milk is what keeps me alive. My friends, what little I have, would describe me as spacey and blonde, random, lacking a good attention span, and always off in my own little world. Of course, I am trying to convince them that I'm actually emo on the inside.....but they don't take me seriously. Now, whenever somebody does something stupid, they call it Courtney Syndrome. Apparently I'm a contagious airborne disease...? Anyway, I'm in a weird mood because I'm off my hormonal meds, and I don't know what else to say, so I'm just gonna stop right now before I start writing my life story down here. | Hi, I'm Tony and I currently live in Leipzig, Germany. Though I grew up in a much smaller village even people living 50 km away don't know about^^ I'm 22 and currently studying veterinary medicine. I can't tell how long I'm into anime, but it might amount to 10 years already - me reading manga began around 5 years ago, when Hellsing started its publishing where I live. | Okay I'll go ahead. Hey my names Ray irl. I live in Nebraska currently and i'm 16. ^_^ I got into manga around the time Furi Kuri premiered on Adult Swim, and then I saw Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, etc. afterwords getting into anime. I got into manga by my cousin who had imported a untranslated version of the first volume of Peacemaker Kurogane. (Of course I ended up reading it from left to right, and couldn't understand a thing at first :p) And by then I went to my local library, and checked out some Dragonball , and that's what got me started on manga. =) Personality wise i'm usually active, and ready to do things optimisticaly, but a running gag about me is i'm tired even if I get 10 hours of sleep or so. One of my goals is to never work in a restuarant. (From having gone through countless drivethru, and having the person on the intercom in a very pessimistic mood.). My likings include (Besides the obvious :p) Practicing baseball bat swings, my PS2, and DS playing Persona 4 as of now on my PS2, and currently Lux Pain on my DS. Of course other than electronic, and baseball i'm an avid fan of cultural mythology aswell. My dislikes include monopolizig (From having to dealt with rude people that actually restort to this), deserts (From driving through a desert for 8 hours to get to El Paso for a church mission trip it might've been the most agonizing day of my life going through one, the one thing i dislike the most in any anime or manga is guro. Yes it's okay to have the usual fighting, and blood, but ripping someone into pieces for just pleasure is sick and wrong. (I pointing to you Gurochan). |

I’m studying Science of commodities at Naturalistic University in Lublin (or sth like that, not sure how to translate it to English :P). I started watching Anime at summer two years ago when my little bro’s friend told him about Naruto. We were able to watch about 30eps/day O.o After that we started to watch other series and read Manga. Now I read more then watch. I spend most of my free time (when I’m not busy with A&M) with my cousin Kamila (taking a walk and talking or going to clubs for some dancing) and sometimes with other friends. I like reading books and playing computer games (mostly mmoRPG). The thing I like the most is sleeping :P I think it’s enough… |

Im in the last year of college and my hobbies include listening 2 music, watching movies, playing sports esp football(soccer) and tennis and watching anime + reading manga obviously. Im a huge anime fan and enjoy a broad range of anime from comedy to action to dark and i have been watching anime for about 6-7 yrs now. I have many favourite series as i cant seem to be able to pick just one or two. If anyone wants to add me as a friend go ahead as im quite friendly(i hope :D ) or if anyone has any anime/manga they can recommend that i havent watched/read/am planning 2 watch/read that would be great. |

| when i have kids ima make sure they are like me...play sports...are smart....like games/manga/anime...and are fit without excersizing XD (tried a couple days ago to see how fit i was since i dont do much...100 sit ups (but i can go for 120 to make it evener) and 60 push ups XD....cant do chin ups in my house though T_T nothing to do it on) and i live for games....thats pretty much my only reason for living XD so i dont doubt i will be playing games 80 years from now =P anime/manga...yes i think i will as well....especially VN's XD but i think 10 years from now ill be re reading series instead of new ones because by them ill probably have read all the ones i find interesting/good XD |

| Heh, by ten years I'll probably be reading and watching in Japanese (I am almost there already). I don't think it will ever grow out of me, it's such a good means of entertainment. However, I wouldn't make my kids watch it (they probably still will, though) (that is, assuming I have kinds in ten years). |

| Lol, I told my mom that if I ever have kids (highly unlikely, but there's always a small chance) then she could have it for a year, and then give it back to me. I hate babies, but I love kids.....it's weird. And she's the opposite lol. Maybe it's because I have 2 younger brothers that I had had to take care of, but I absolutely hated them until they started being able to talk and stuff lol. Then I helped out with their speech problems. Now I love them and my mom just wants to shut them up haha |

| I'm a new person! Hallo! I'm Chris. Don't let the name fool you, I am a girl. I'm 19 now and live in the states near Chicago. I'm working on learning a few languages right now and furthering my education next year. But in the free time I love to pop open a well read manga. I got started in 2nd grade with sailor moon then dropped the Japan craze until manga appeared in stores about 5th grade and picked it right up. My fav series used to be the more popular widely available series, but now I've taken a love for the obscure little fan-sub one-shots. (If you know about any, please tell me <3) As for talents... I do my fair share of drawing, painting, sewing, amateur acting and a handbell choir. I think that covers it, thank you guys for this club! <3 |

My major is Japanology and I dare say this is mostly the fault of anime ^^;. I started watching anime when I was about 10. For the last half a year or so I really got into manga and am reading more manga than watching anime. For some reason I read the most when I have the most to study ^^;. I rarely draw or write something because I'm not very talented. As for hobbies, I'm currently interested in what I'm studying (it's very interesting). Yorushiku onegaishimasu ^^. |

I started watching anime in 6th grade, around 2005, I started reading manga in the beginning of this year. Before that, I used to play a lot of computer games, and video games. Right now I don't play games at all, I don't watch t.V anymore but recently I started to watch Heroes. I guess my special skill and hobbies is drawing. I don't like SPORTS, I always get hurt whenever I Play.I like watching Asian Dramas mostly Japanese. I also Like Asian Music and again mostly Japanese. | Whats up? My name is Justin, I go by Gesicht on here.I started watching anime awhile ago and started reading manga outside of Naruto and Bleach this year. I will buy my manga 90% of the time unless it isn't available. One of these days I will try to buy all those volumes I read online before i started buying, so far I've only bought volume 1 of One Piece. I will get the rest eventually! I have total of 29 mangas so far, which will increase in time |

I'm Mexican still getting my feet wet when it comes to mangas, I've watched more anime than manga but I find it's a WHOLE lot quicker to just read them. I am slowly making my way through this sites top choice 'cause I figure they're up there for a reason, they must be good :P Outside of manga and anime I like to do anything I can gain knowledge from, so I watch a lot of Discovery, History, and National Geographic channels. I am in college in order to become an elementary school teacher so wish me luck! |

Glad to know you are considering becoming a teacher, it's a very important and difficult profession! I worked as a camp counselor with children between ages of 10 and 12, so I know what it's like.
