| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah I found this episode filled with excitement especially with the school competition. Naho tries his hardest at the race to impress Kakeru. The letters of course gives more details about the future as usual. Gotta love how Naho helps out Kakeru in the aftermath of the competition as well. Oh Suwa, what are you looking at  She looks cute in a cheerleader outfit :D |

Eh, it looked more like he sniffed her hair than an actual kiss, though that's probably what was done given the earlier bet/promise. Meanwhile best-character Suwa looks on knowing he's the best character. XD And, judging by Kakeru thinking of his flashback with Suwa while they were holding that mattress and not Naho, he might agree! XD Boy that seemed odd, that he'd think of Suwa and not the female lead. XD Certainly painted Naho in an unflattering light. XD That aside standard paint by numbers race victory. It looked crummy at times, but last week was definitely worse. Nothing else to say really. |

| The Kiss scene was weak. Other then that Suwa had me rolling. When he gripped Hagita's head and said "Those skirts look how short they are!" I was done. Though he saw something at the end he shouldn't have. *sigh* Oh well at least he was able to smile it off. |

| Not as weak as the last episode, but still not on par with the standard that was shown before. The athletic meet is finally over, Kakeru should have gained very much from this. Was that a kiss? lol |
| Definitely a big improvement compared to last week's animation fiasco, but still going downhill quality wise. The first few episodes were extremely promising and well executed (I rated it 9/10 back then), but now it comes closer to 7/10. I will still continue watching though, mainly because I'm already emotionally invested in the series. |
| The animation wasn't as good, but I think that's due to all the extra characters they need to draw these last two episodes, the kiss scene wasn't really good too, animation wise. |
| Well, Kakeru kissing Naho on the cheek was essentially ruined by the super-quick animation. Looked like he just sniffed her hair real quick or something. The episode was great otherwise. Love all the symbolism in the sports festival. Everyone carrying the mattress was done perfectly. Well 6 chapters left and 3 episodes left, so they're perfectly on pace for their 2 chapters per episode goal. But that disappoints me a little since I was hoping chapter 19 would get its own episode... I guess they could do 20-22 all in episode 13 though if they really wanted. Reminder that Hagita is the best character. |

| Good episode, Glad the animation and faces improved from last week. It was nice that Kakeru opened up to all of them and told them about his problem. Hagita was savage once again this episode teasing Suwa with Kakeru and saying hi to those girls XD Relay was fun to watch, Passing the message was really well done and was quite emotional as well. The win was satisfying even if it was plot armor. That Suwa smile at the end is so bittersweet. |

This whole athletic meet has really just felt like a bit of a filler arc, not least because of the animation and art problems. Also, was that seriously supposed to be a kiss? Absolutely pathetic if so; no build-up, no emotion value, nothing whatsoever. Seriously, it looked more like he headbutted her or something. |
| I really felt bad for Suwa in this episode. I know that Kakeru's depressed and is going through a lot but in their present time, it is Suwa who's making the hardest sacrifice. Damn Suwa! You deserve MVP and Best Bro award this season. |
| Much better compared to the episode of the previous week, but it could have been better. That kiss felt very weak, they could had put more effort in that scene, I mean, it's the first kiss Naho receives from Kakeru and it looked more like if he sniffed her hair or something. Apart of that, the episode passed very fast to me. Is amazing how this series passes so quickly when it has such an slow pace. I liked the race (especially Hagita's part), but some of the faces of the characters in determinates moments looked very awkward. I'm glad everything has been well for Kakeru, but the end of the episode made me felt like shit for Suwa. Poor man, he is really sacrificing his love for his friend :( |

| That went about as well as possible. There can only be a good ending now. So many students to draw and animate, no wonder why the animation was so poor. Wish more attention was spent on the kiss scene, should have placed the viewpoint on the other side of them. |

| oh what an awesome episode, really got me at relay race. But the kiss, is Kakeru really kiss Naho? and, why it looks like he kissed her in her hair (near the ear), but Naho touch her cheek instead. Did the animator miss something here? or Naho touch her cheek just because it's her behavior when she feels embarrassed? |

| I loved this show at first, i was going to probably end up giving it a 9, but every since like the episode where they all told eachother about having the notes its gone downhill, it seems like now they arent even trying to be his friend, they are just trying to get him not to neck himself, i guess its understandable but its just weird idk and its really stupid how overly depressed this guy is about the smallest things, its whatever tho i can already see how the shows gonna end but ill probably still give it a 7-8 edit: this ep also had way more cringe than usual, almost couldnt handle it. |

| That was so cute oh my gosh. I literally smiled at my screen the entire episode. A real kiss would have been nice, but a peck on the cheek is still a step up in their relationship! |
| It's nice to see there was no fuck up in this timeline (I thought he would fall like the letter said, or he would drop the baton or something). Hopefully this means nothing bad will happen to Kakeru. I'm going to pretend that sorry excuse of a "kiss" didn't happen. I thought there would be better buildup for that scene, but instead it looked like Kakeru was either trying to sniff her hair or bite her ear. I'm sure we'll get to see a legitimate kiss at the end. And like others have mentioned, the animation was definitely way better than last week's. I still noticed some derp faces and weirdness here and there, but overall the animation looked ok. |

| a lot of people calling this episode weak, but i was really looking forward to it. the fact that kakeru was supposed to get injured during the race had me on the edge of my seat hoping that he didn't. The kiss was the only "weak" thing about this episode |

| I can't say the art and animation quality improved a lot in this episode, but hey, nothing that bad as in the previous episode. The "kiss" scene was too fast, though.... Aside from that, this episode was a great watch with the relay run. I loved it. Hagita's run gotta be the best run, lol. |

| Now think about how easily they would have won the race with actual athletic participants xD I agree with the rest of you that the kiss was weird. First I thought he wanted to tell her something when he went so far to the side of her face. Only realized it after they said it. Also expected something else but I guess they are not that far in their relationship yet. Curious for the next episode. Didn't Hagita surprisingly pass two runners? |

| I actually didn't expect them to win but they did, so great job. I hope Kakeru is feeling at least somewhat better and we will get to see actual kiss between him and Naho. |
