I added my thoughts on the new phos design here. Some interesting concepts included, I love Divine Phos now.

What does that mean when you passed the bridge, burn it? Was the doc implying to sensei to do something else that was programmed? Isn't the whole purpose to get rid of the lunarians, is there a point to keep them here? I hate the lunarians but now we have no choice but to get Phos to pray, there are no other life forms and with the lunarians gone, life can prosper once again. There must be a catch here.
Well, now we know for sure that 10.000 years passed.

Ahh, as expected, my memories are fuzzy. Sensei, a praying machine, was told by the doctor that we see in this chapter the he can become the bridge to the new world. But then she told him to "burn the bridge" once he is there. What does that mean?! My brain couldn't keep up!

"Divine" Phos is here with all the lunarians visiting them. What now? Do they want Phos to pray? My humanity wants them to F off, but I wonder what Phos will do.

P.S. Oh yeah! Ichikawa has her own taiyaki machine now. We'll have a break next month because she wants to experiment with all sorts of taiyaki. 😭

This chapter has some pretty interesting info: transition state? New world? Burn the bridge after you cross? And all the talk about how useless the humans were. If I understand this correctly then the Lunarians might be in for a surprise

Well we have around 20 chapters left before the end so I guess Phos will not pray for them
We learn so interesting and I guess next chapter is gonna be a meeting between lunarians and him

Holy shit that Phos's form, I guess that's probably the last one at this point but it's even more shocking seeing all they went through to end up like this... now the question is if Phos will pray or not

Well, now we know for sure that 10.000 years passed.

"Burn one's bridges" is an idiom with the meaning as "do something that can not be undone or reversed in the future".
The "bridge" the doc implied here could also be refered to "三途の河"(the river of three crossings), a concept of Buddhism which originated in China. It has three crossing points: a bridge, a ford, and a spot where there is only deep serpent-infested water. Where one crosses depends on the weight of one’s offenses while alive. Those who performed acts of good while alive cross over a bridge adorned with seven treasures. Those whose karmic balance of good and evil is relatively even cross at a ford. Those who committed great evil must wade through deep water infested with hideous serpents.

Also “burn the bridges” at least in Latin America is a term for “closing windows” to toxic people, it means putting an end to certain harmful relationships.
Cross the bridge, and after seeing all the bad stuff done to you from whatever is on the other side, burn the bridge so they can’t come to you again, and keep moving on to a new path.

Human Phos seeing his past incarnation through Kongo's memories... "When you passed the bridge, burn it" Can this mean that Sensei never broke down but instead it was how Doc programmed him all along?

We know that lunarians left before Kongo stopped praying are Aecmea + pit lunarians, who were the sinners among the lunarians. (the ones that were thrown in a pit in the moon and engaged in eternal cannibalism). I think it is possible that Kongo refuses to pray for these luanrians because they will "wade through deep water infested with hideous serpents"

I think that maybe the comment about burning the bridge after Kongo crosses it was Doctor suggesting that he not remain behind to liberate Phos from samsara after Phos prays for, and liberates, everyone else. Phos may end up being stuck alone on Earth for... maybe eternity, as the only human organism left. Unless those human souls in the ocean aren't considered human enough to be affected by a prayer machine's prayers - in which case, after a few million years, Phos would have a Gem posse of her own to raise.

Speaking of the Doctor, I was wondering when she was going to show up again.

I wonder what happened to the gem's bodies after they were processed by the machine that turns other organisms into Lunarians. Did their rock bodies turn into the ethereal bodies of the Lunarians? Or were the bones left behind like a human skeleton?

So Phos has yet another new form now huh? It’s really so interesting to see just how many forms and changes this character goes through.

Wait so it's implied mother reincarnated/became Phos? She said she dreamed that she turned into a mineral, a weak and pathetic one but an important one. Isn't that exactly what Phos is?

Phos transformation is over. Will be interesting to see what she does.
