| Neither. I score in a way that looks like a Bell Curve (aka normal distribution) For every anime that gets a high score, there's gonna be one that ends up with a low score and viceversa. Basically a fair system that is neither too harsh or too lenient. It sounds like it would be too much or a bother, but once I figure out what average is for me and rescored some shows once, it got really easy to do. |

| I think I have become more harsher over time. Though I've probably watched more shows I liked than disliked, hence my 7.18 average rating. So my ratings are not because I was being generous but because I genuinely enjoyed the show. However, I won't rate an anime 4 or below unless I feel it deserves it. So yeah I believe I am a little generous. |

| I think my rating system appears harsher than it actually is. To me, ratings are sort of arbitrary and more so a reflection of how much an anime means to me on a personal basis. 1/10 represents anime that I actively dislike, 5/10 represents anime I somewhat like but am not HUGE on, and my 10/10s are the most impactful experiences I have had with fiction. My scale is universal as well, so all fiction is compared with one another. |
| Generously. I've given more 7s and 8s than other scores combined. Most anime are just good. |
