a, so the higher-ups just want to kill everybody bc why not? whose idea was that?
b, i still don't really get how the curses/ techniques work
c, the last 5 eps were just fucking exhausting to watch
@AJpurple they want to keep the status quo, they kill anyone that threatens their position or gets too strong. only reason yuta was safe in the beginning was because of gojo and eventually yuta got strong enough to where they no longer pose a threat to him but he wouldn't act without his sensei's directive.

Awesome episode to end an awesome season, I love the creepy dystopian vibe across Japan after the incident, everything's changed forever for the JJK world.
Cool to see Yuta finally appearing in the mainline present story!
Hats off to the Mappa staff for this season, despite all odds the animation was flawless throughout! Looking forward to the next season even if I think the Culling Games arc is a step down from Shibuya, it's still pretty great.

very good last episode. although im so confused on how they came to the conclusion that gojo was an accomplice in the shibuya incident? is it because he was the one tasked with killing geto and then geto is supposedly still alive even though it's not him?

yuta showing up was so exciting. although im definitely not excited about him being assigned to be itadori's executioner.

anyway im so excited for the next arc. will probably come sometime in 2025 i assume, which is a long wait, but hopefully that means the animators won't be completely worked to the bone again.

Overall, a fantastic season and for me a definite upgrade over season 1. I will say, though, last 2 episodes felt a bit meh. Too many characters being randomly thrown in the mix (basically everything after the Mahito fight) just made me left feeling numb - also having to wait for season 3 to figure out what happened to like 90% of the cast is kind of annoying. Either way, excited for season 3!
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Well.....this lived up to the hype. First off this council is total shit they are just killing everyone because they are butthurt they lost. Also, how is Gojo an accomplice when he was the first in there? Yuji is going to be dipping now that everyone is going to be chasing him. I'm hyped for season 3. This shit was so peak. I'll see you guys season 3. This is my second favorite show airing right now.

10/10.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.

Omg... so much information...

YUTA IS BACK BABY!!! I've been waiting for this day for too long XD
However... I did not expect him to want to kill Yuji. Shieeet. Not sure how I feel about that. Yuta was the nicest soul possible in JJK:Zero. I do get it though, if Yuji can't hold Sukuna back as a vessel, then thousands more will surely be killed..

Still don't really like Yuta's chosen voice actor.

Things I'm confused about:
- Didn't Geto use Uzumaki last ep? Doesn't that get rid of all stored cursed spirits?
- Could Geto always absorb/steal techniques of the cursed spirits he captured??
- Did Geto just create thousands of more sorcerers across the world? If so, damn. Looks like he unleashed up to ten million spirits too

I guess the world is legit in anarchy now
Those rules about Gojo and the principal are absolute BS by the way, how silly

I wanna see the aftermath of everything XD but it looks like we're just skipping ahead in time..
I guess it's time to read the manga!!!

Awesome season. 10/10 for me

@RagnaZard you sound low iq. S1 dosent even compare to this. Maybe in episodes where fights weren't happening the animation was off. But in terms of the fights in shibuya the animation and attention to detail is the best we've seen in this series and in terms of fight choreography and the way they animated the fights set a new standard for all shounen. You just dont know what good animation is. Your just a salty demon slayer fanboy thats crying cause his s3 was trash

This should organically be the second or third highest rated show on the whole site. You quite literally can't say anything bad about this level of anime from start to finish that would be objective enough to discredit it. I don't even listen to the nonsense this generation of garbage spews, it was so fucking nice to be refreshed by such a passionate work of animation and if Freiren didn't exist nothing this year could come close. 10/10 anime and the first masterpiece season of this magnitude and length since maybe AoT season 2, animation wise.
@dior You would expect someone with almost 1.000 entries completed to not be so easily impressed by JJK but i guess watching too many anime doesn't really mean much kkkk

Btw, JJK is a shounen for teenagers, so you're factually wrong.

@RagnaZard Oh so your gonna act like a snowflake and let the studios drama affect your objective scoring of the anime since you cant seperate your emotions from objectively viewing the anime . You disgust me trying to take a moral high ground when in reality your just spitting in the face of all the animators hard work.

@Shinuki_n_Reborn Yes at the end of the day Bleach and Naruto and OP are feel good wish fulfillment series and perfectly inline with shounen tropes aimed towards children. Bleach is a nostaglia series hence the rating but you cant deny the serious flaws it has. And yes JJK is aimed towards children but atleast it dosent have the power of friendship tropes and constant fake out deaths. Bleach and JJK couldnt be any more different regarding the story telling since kubo is a coward

Even though Gojo is already an enemy of the Jujutsu Society, the existence of cursed spirits will be told to the public, plus Yuji is not just a flashback character; he also has a big role here. This is going to be interesting in the next season because I don't have a plan to read the manga because I don't think Yuji's character is deep enough for me to invest my time and dedication in it, and also because MAPPA did a very good job adapting this series.
great season finale, looking forward to the next season of the anime

GOSSO cinema chops to bow out with a bang!!! I won't bother saying or gloating over things that has already been said millions of times now but this season was everything a modern battle shounen should aspire to be. Sure, the story moments can get choppy but you can't deny the enthralling action throughout the runtime

8.5/10 overall

A memorable OST track in JJK? Color me surprised. That somber piano piece when "Getou" was performing Mahito's CT was superb.
And my boy Yuuta is finally here. How come he looks even more of an Emo now than in the movie where he was at his lowest? I have no idea.

Overall, huge disappointment after a very solid first season. Little-to-no plot progression, practically no character development in an arc that lasted 18 episodes, lots of mindless fights against NPCs to please the viewer, deaths for the sake of cheap shock value, tons of wasted potential in terms of characters (both good and bad guys), inconsistent direction, etc.
Hidden Inventory Arc was decent and a few fights in Shibuya were cool (only when you could understand what the hell was happening) but nah, I still prefer S1's more simple approach than this pretentious mess. Still wondering why Shibuya Incident is considered by so many people as the best arc in modern Shounen anime, by the way.

5,5/10 -> 6/10 - Getou x Gojou bromance in Hidden Inventory carried hard, not gonna lie. Also F in advance for the poor souls that will work on Season 3.

P.S.: Also, random thought but I love the fact of "Getou" achieving his super evil goal of using Mahito's CT to fuck everything up, mainly because Itadori took ages to kill Mahito in that imaginary snowy forest after probably the most edge-lord "I will kill you" speech I have seen in a while.

My boy Yuta’s back so I’m excited! Toge lost an arm noo!! Also why did he say Yuji did it? Did he cut off Toge’s arm?!?
Never thought I’d hear that they’re planning (or did) announce the existence of cursed spirits! Super excited and happy with that turn in the story!
Geto (not really Geto) releasing all of those cursed spirits was epic as heck!
Tsumiki woke up!🫣 I was shocked!! Literally gasped lol didn’t expect that especially this episode because of everything that was going on.
Did I mention I’m happy to see my mans Yuta? Lol. Though seriously how long did it take him to get there I’m curious? Thought the lil girl he saved was gonna die oof.
Yuki wanting to beat up Geto was funny and Yuji being like “I don’t know what he means either✋🤚” was hilarious.
I’m so happy with the animation of Yuta though! I was so scared they were gonna make him look like a corpse with those eye bags😭 But he actually looks so cute! Yay win for me and my eyes!☺️✨
Gojo being labeled an accomplice💀 I mean I get it but why say it’s a crime to try and free him? I mean, wouldn’t you want him back to kill all the curses?????? L higher ups right there.
Yaga=Death sentence?!?! Noo! Why!?
Anyways, great episode! Good job animation staff and everyone else who worked on the show this season! You guys did a great job especially with the hand you were dealt.
And of course, thank you Gege for the wonderful story!!

That was some weird ending, the notices of Jujutsu HQ's brass in particular. Why "deem" Gojo as a supposed "accomplice" and sentence Masamichi Yaga to death on top of that for... "incitement"?!!?

Isn't Gojo getting trapped in that cube by "Geto" a direct contradiction of the risible "being an accomplice" accusation?

Even as a blame shifting scheme to cover their asses for all that mess it makes no sense. And the surviving sorcerers who were actually there -unlike the brass, who were surely safe in Kyoto- can testify those two accusations are complete bollocks...

@rijallconnie Given the nature of the dialogue taking place during those moments, that's about the best way to present it. Stop complaining like 5-year-olds.
@X-Offender The best way to present it is show who talking at the moment with decent animation. Stop defending shit like a fanboy, I give a fair criticism.

I thought the same thing but looking back it was more of an exposition for this season becase you needed tj get to know the characters

Also gege has said that he had trouble writing the story at first becase the made gojo too strong and took away and suspense he tried to put in. So it’s partially just a learning curve for the writer

This is my favorite anime of 2023, alongside Vinland Saga.

Gojo is paying dearly for his arrogance and miscalculations. Once again being the strongest wasn't enough. He severely underestimated his opponent, who it turns out was ten steps ahead of him the whole time. Even worse, the student he shielded from execution did exactly what the higher-ups feared he would. Went ballistic after Sukuna took over his body, nuking a city and killing thousands in the process. Now Gojo is trapped in a cosmic meat cube, Japan is in turmoil, and the world will probably never be the same again after they learn about cursed spirits. Sure, Kenjaku would have done all of this regardless. But the fact is, Gojo was a major factor in the Shibuya arc. I know the JJK author hates him and probably enjoys punishing him like this. Even so, it's nice seeing a main character-especially one as powerful as Gojo-actually suffer the consequences of their actions, rather than just skating by on plot-armour or the power of friendship all the time.

Overall, a great season.

Looking forward to the next installment in the series.

I kind of regret noticing that they replaced Shouko with Okkotsu in the opening for this episode. I was hoping he would show up during the important fight instead of way later.

Here we are with the end of JJK season 2, and what a ride it was. From the sad/emotional moments to the action filled fun moments this season had everything.

This last episode was pretty good though i wanted to see Yuki fight Kenjaku, i did like there talk about cursed spirits and cursed energy.

It's cool seeing Yuta finally make his way into the show, but i still dont know what to feel about hime. I kinda like and kinda dislike him. But that will change next season when we see more of him.

I still hope that we will one day see Geto again, i love him and his character so much also with Nobara, i hope for her return as well.

Overall season 2 of JJK has been an amazing ride and i cant wait for the next season.

10/10
