Well, even in the finale, we still get some flashbacks of Runa and relationship with her parents. Obviously, they are also important people in her life.

Episode took place around Christmas time so naturally, we got Runa and Ryuuto together and their date. Dressing up Ryuuto with that santa outfit was kinda awkward though. Jokes aside, I'm glad to see the cast getting their chance to make more memories even in the season finale.

A Christmas finale. Good timing for once in an anime; Christmas is just around the corner.

Luna aspires to reunite her family on Christmas Eve and, with the assistance of Ryuto and Maria, orchestrates a surprise operation to bring her parents together. Unexpectedly, the plan takes an unexpected turn, leaving Ryuto and Luna alone that night. In a surprising twist, when Luna reaches out to Ryuto, he finds himself in an unforeseen situation.

What the hell??? Ijichi really pulled off a major glow-up. Turns out he was dead serious about his training at the camp. No jokes there. On a brighter note, I'm glad Ryuto finally met Luna's folks. But, dang, her dad having a new wife is a tough twist. Feels bad. I had a hunch Luna's issue would be something like a cold. Classic move in romance anime – one of the leads catching a cold. Nikoru's determination to search every classroom for Sekiya is impressive. Poor Nishi, though. And Ryuto, well, I can't even find it in me to laugh at the guy.

So, yeah, it's your run-of-the-mill seasonal romance – pretty basic but still has its enjoyable moments. Gotta hand it to them for giving us multiple kisses when most of these shows barely end with a hug. Respect for that. And can we talk about how the soundtrack, especially the ending, saved this show.

This is the kind of show where you just kick back, don't overthink the absurdities, and enjoy the ride. It's pretty entertaining, I guess.

Oh my, they decided to conclude this anime with a Christmas setting - nothing could be better than that of course since Christmas is close. It felt a bit weird for Ryuuto to wear that Santa outfit, but at least his relationship with Runa got stronger now though ever since they almost broke up.

Fairly enjoyable romcom anime, so 7/10 for this one.

Not a bad anime. This is definitely worth watching, way better than The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent.

Giving this anime a fair score of 8/10.

“The best character development this year”.

Lacking is a word that can be use to describe this series, better animations would made it overall presentation better. Still, the moment to moment experience is adequate enough.

Watching since first episode released and now It's finally finished

Runa first fall in love with Ryuuto when he said that he didn’t want to do "It" and that was where the love story began
Doing "It" would be the best way to end the story, but they didn’t๐Ÿฅน

I want an ova where side characters love story will be shown

It feels quite satisfying after seeing a fairly happy ending for them.

It's nice that some of them have partners, and there are also those who end up without one. But it looks like they are fine and happy on their Christmas day. (and also give me the type of girl like Nikoru lol)

Another good romcom, one of the best romcoms on my list so far. See you until they announce a sequel.

I thought that some of the side characters were more intriguing that didn't get much screen-time, especially Ryuto's friend that lost weight in the finale. Although this showed that Akari is shallow as she had previously told him to not ask anyone out that he didn't really know and now she badly wants to go out with him without really knowing him.

Runa's plan to have her parents reconcile backfired as did her previous plan on operation friendship or whatever it was called, I just don't care much for her and her reasonings. I didn't enjoy this romcom as other ones I've watched but it at least had good character designs and some entertaining moments. There were also some cringe moments too and at the end I thought this was average, 5/10.

Very good ending episode of a very good series! Ryuuto and Runa ending is as predictable as pleasurable. Runa had a Marin moment with Ryuuto! Not expecting a second season but it would be a pleasure to meet Ryuuto and Runa again.

Pretty basic romcom starring a gyaru. The mediocre art hurt it a lot, since that's the strength most of these shows depend on. Still, it did deliver on the last few episodes and ended with a high note with the Christmas eve and all.

I felt disappointed that of course Akari got the hots for Ijichi now that he lost weight and looks attractive. Aside from her fascination with her idol (in terms of height of potential love interest being the same as her idol), she showed a lot of promise not being that shallow and actually a decently interesting and cute character with the time she got. I know it's just chalked up as that he's literally a splitting image of her idol now which was indeed established that she's a major otaku about. She even said it herself that she couldn't do that with how hard she shot him down so at least she has her own self awareness. Aside from Ijichi not getting much screen-time nor moments, I feel like that'd be cute if they at least got closer as friends (not necessarily get together right away like our main couple, kinda like she said when she shot him down) and got to hang out and do stuff more like how they said they all wanted to do.

Omg was she talking about the "Parent trap"?? How did Ijichi lose so much weight? Lmaooo, I need some pointers. The girl should've just given him a chance because now she only likes him for his looks. How did Runa end up having blonde hair? Also that was such an awkward dinner lol

This was definitely the cutest and most wholesome romance this season. I really liked how it ended, plus right in time for Christmas! It'll be nice if we get a second season! We know of a damn fact that Ryuto will NOT be the first one to make a move. Ryuto looked so silly with all the charms hanging off his backpack. But, why do they leave us on a cliffhanger like that? 7/10 for this anime! I really liked the wholesome conclusion. Did we ever see Runa and Ryuto kiss though?

I'm glad the parent trap failed. Keeps the realism up. I'm glad Nicole decided to keep fighting and make her dream relationship work. I'm not glad at all that Akari turned out to be so shallow. At least she's self-consciousness enough to realize how shallow she is.

Well...the typical Christmas affair, which the finale is airing at the perfect time: Ryuto and Runa's date...and an Operation: Double Wingman?

Runa's goal now is to get the entire Shirakawa family back together again, which she wants this family reunion to work having Ryuto's help. Ijichi having a rather huge transformation from a fatso to an Ikemen, that's...quite the change that Akari was not expecting to see, which makes her rejection that much regretful. But to force relationships at a time of festivities, that's quite going over the board, much less Ryuto having to face her father. Thankfully, despite their mother not wanting to see her father and being like a family again, her father just had to bring his new wife (to be remarried) to the shock of all, especially Runa. This unfortunately. causes her to be overly worried that Ryuto might cross over the line for real if he abandoned her then and there.

As it turns out, the typical cold has caught Runa, and Ryuto is in a crisis trying to ascertain how he should take care of her. Ren still is persistent about Nicole, though her suddenly rushing into Sekiya's cram school to confess to him, their idea of making up...is rather forced and tenacious. But back to the couple, and Runa got numerous charms for Ryuto...and the latter dressed as Santa to deliver his gag (that bombed), it is a pair of moonstone earrings that matched with her pearl ring...being enough to forgive and give her blessings to her dad? That's quite the stretch, as Runa starts fantasizing about Ryuto and wanting to do the deed for real, her "first love" tradition, finally broken...?

A rather OK rom-com that is the definition of puppy love and melodrama that is 20/20 hindsight.

Kimizero finale really here ๐Ÿ˜ข man I’m sad this one is over.

Perfect way to end the season off with a Christmas episode a few days before Christmas IRL. Runa and Ryuuto look so much more comfortable with each other after the heart to heart last week and Runa is being way more upfront with how she feels, love it. Ryuuto’s gonna have a heart attack if she keeps being this cute.

With them being official official now it makes sense that Runa wants to show off her first real bf to her parents, after all everyone wants to be with someone their parents approve of and like.

Wasn’t expecting this to turn into the parent trap though lol. Got the twins, got the divorced parents, first time I’ve seen that set up in an anime.

Ichiji had the biggest glow up of the season. Perfect example of why getting cooked does work. Bro got rejected and hit the gym, cut out the twinkies and came back cut as hell. I hope he doesn’t go straight to Akari though. Don’t be too desperate ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Poor Nishina on the other hand still got some work to do with Nicole..

The look on my face when their dad walked in with another woman, damn felt really bad after they set all that up. But I kinda like that it failed, made it more realistic especially given how their parents broke up

Damn, I knew Nicole was having trouble getting over senpai, but I didn’t think she’d pull up on him in class and say she wasn’t going to give up. That was cute, but I still don’t think they’ll work out. I think they’re just at different stages in life. Sucks that Nishina had to see that, but hopefully this’ll motivate him to work on himself.

Wouldn’t be a romance without the obligatory sick episode and it comes during the finale which is somewhat new. Thought my boy was going to become a man on Christmas Eve ๐Ÿ˜‚ still, holding hands and sleeping next to each other is just as good

“The person who brings me happiness is you now” aww so damn sweet!! Happy for these two lovebirds. Like Nicole said, Runa was so worried about not having “firsts” with Ryuuto but she’s really got the most important one with him. Her first true love and real relationship

And that ending! Maid Runa let’s gooooo we won. Now that they’re fully in love, the next logical step is Runa wanting to take their relationship to the physical next level.. Ryuuto is going to be in for a treat

Season 2 please ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Enjoyable overall watch 7/10 for the series.. the finale was kind of all over the place seeing as they concluded most of the loose ends in ep 11. We got a parent trap trope which ended up doing nothing for the story but gave a reason for ryuto to come over... the glow up the gave ryutos friend was pretty funny...

And so we end with a Christmas night Parent Trap failure and a promise of a more intimate future for our main and at least one side couple.

This one's the definition of mixed feelings for me. Just looking at the promotional artwork you might think this was gonna be another cutesy, feel-good romance anime, but it's not. It almost certainly would have been more enjoyable for me if it had been one mind you, but I can appreciate that it was trying to go for something different. It was trying to tackle a female lead who isn't "pure" sexually. And it gave at least a bit of time to a chubby friend of the male mc. Of course it kinda undid that in this last episode by making him a pretty boy and only then having the girl he liked like him back, but at least the show was self-aware enough after humiliating him for not knowing anything about her an episode or two ago to not have them get together in this episode. But still...mixed messages, ya know?

I guess the kindest thing I can say about this show is that I do think its heart was in the right place. It was trying to be different from the average romance anime, it just bit off more than it could chew. The drama was probably the weakest aspect of the entire series. Everything involving the younger sister was pretty groanworthy and the rest ranged from alright to boring to cheesy and manufactured. I tend to watch a lot of romance anime these days. I'm almost certain one from earlier this year is going to be #1 on my end of the year Anime Top Ten list when I make it late next week. This? This will be forgotten pretty quickly and easily. Slightly generous 6/10. One of if not the weakest show I watched this season. But for what it's worth I really did want to like this more than I did. Ah well.

What's going on in Runa and Maria's head:
- Our parents are divorced
- Our mom is single
- Our father is single too
- Let's make them into a couple again! What could go wrong?

So I already had a lot going on against this series since I started reading the LN prior to the release of the anime and it somehow got even worse.

So on top of every bad decision taken by the author, this episode seems indeed like the peak of its series.

First, what the hell was that make-up plan for your parents? Like what are we supposed to think? I mean, it's every (outside legitimate exceptions) divorced parent's child's wet dream to have their parents reconcile and get back together... Until you're like 10 and understand that they had a reason for their divorce. So why is nobody talking them out of it and why are they treating the fact that their father is remarrying as if it was suprising and if everybody hadn't seen it coming from miles away?

So now that Runa is devastated, she wants to be banged by Ryuuto (father-mother-in-law style I guess) and they give us the "actually she's got a fever" trope, and why is it somehow the best thing the author could have done in this situation?

And to go with all of that, now Nishida is a stalker and Tanikita is a hypocrite. Absolutely marvelous character writing, seriously.
Salmon is really the fish of all time.

I enjoyed the series. It was more wholesome than expected. I saw a lot of negative chatter about the series based on the title and synopsis before it even aired, which I think led to lower scores and bad reviews it didn't recover from. I do hope it gets a second season or an OVA that'll continue the story a bit more.

Agreed, surprised not many are talking about that...she's got some nerve to be crushing on Ijichi after he went through a transformation after the stuff she said to him about "Confessing your feelings" and that.
