They'll meet ingame without realising their irl identities. I'll still suggest you to stick with this anime, it's still pretty good.
| Honestly I think best part story is Sunraku hanging out with other players then Rei. Pencilgon and Cazzo are much more fun to watch then her. |

first I'm french and I didn't sleep so sorry if my explaination are bad.
I don't want to disapoint you but Rei is not the female lead, well she is but only in 1 arc atm (and with the anime pacing idk if it will get covered in this season)
I would even say there's no female lead in ShanFro (except if you consider that an animal can be female lead, in which case the female lead would be Emul (the bunny we see at the end of episode 3))
there's important female characters like Pencilgon, Rei, Akitsu Akane, Silvi and Rust (I named them in order of their importance in the story) but no female character that are important in every arcs.
also Sunraku think Psyger-0 (that's Rei username) is a guy
| @IchiuzYluu_ I am leaning to disagree. While she isn't around consistently, she is only one that helped Sunraku overcome his inner struggles so far. I think that alone warrant her status of female lead, but I digress (especially as Pencilgon has more presence overall, but unfortunately she is more of homie then female lead imho...) |

@Tenzen12 Nah I def think Pencilgon is more of a female lead than Psyger-0. While she isn’t a love interest(as of the current state of the manga), she is probably the most important main character other than MC. I also think both have equally given Sunraku amazing advice for his inner struggles too.
| @Alaroki I am not denying she is most important character after Sunraku (maybe with Kei being on same level). I would go even so far to call her co-protagonist. Still that's not same thing as "female lead". I mean she could as well be guy (though it would be shame as she is best grill) and nothing much would change. |
| I think you should just wait unti gang get together, which should be indeed in that 7-8 episode range. If you don't like it than, you will not like it later either, but I do think characters really make it. |
