| The creatures on Shinsekyou make my skin crawl… they’re just so WRONG. Not only do Gabimaru & Sagiri have to worry about surviving the island but they now have to worry about surviving the others in the expedition I feel like Gabimaru & Safire needed to have that fight in order to really understand each other and the fact that they aren’t enemies |

| So many mixed reviews here... The already sudden deaths of the crimanals and Asaemons (Especially the red haired one) took me by surprise. As expected of this author, being an assistant to the CSM author. |

| Interesting ep to meet what the island is Cuz we know that the island is dangerous but we never got a frame of what truly is until know I like this kind of situations where all seems to be very bad I hope that they make the island dangerous and not just like an secundary thing cuz the main story is about how dangerous is that island and how the MC needs to go back home |

| 3/5 Cleaning house episode basically. Some characters that were introduced last episode got flushed out, the Renji wannabe being a prime example. Some stiff animation aside, this was the right way in the direction We delve more into Gabimaru's past and his vendetta against the immortal chief of Iwagakure. That crazy convict jumps Gabi outta nowhere but is quickly put into his place. His Asaemon collects his head while explaining them the gravity of their situation. People are already infighting and killing themselves even before encountering any island threats. Gabi accepts the sentiment & duels with Sagiri abruptly. I found this bit even redundant in the manga so seeing it play out in anime format didn't help much tbh. It was all for Sagiri's understanding of Gabi's motivations but it felt a wee bit dragged out. The creatures in this island are definitely creepy but the intital impact of those panels in the manga was barely translated properly. The next episode is a very important one and could MAKE or BREAK this show for some casuals. Not my favorite by any means but there was enough content in it for it to be decent~~ |

| With his teachings and constant influence, the village chief was definitely able to teach Gabimaru to let go of his emotions. Being able to kill someone without any hesitation or even getting tired of it says enough about Gabimaru's life history so far. With strength you are of course able to protect your loved ones, but this is also possible with feelings and emotions. It was only through his wife that Gabimaru was able to learn this and she was also able to release his suppressed feelings again. This was especially noticeable in the fight with Sagiri. A constant internal struggle between his emotions and feelings and the thought of getting rid of them so he can finally kill Sagiri as he is weak otherwise. This was beautifully portrayed in the form of the village chief and his wife. Even though Gabimaru attacked her, giving her every right to execute him, Sagiri also felt that hesitant feeling. 'Sagiri found words similar to Gabimaru's wife. Namely, that emotions and feelings mean strength. Facing these and trying to reclaim his life will now become Gabimaru's true test. There is already a very high number of dead criminals, which isn't too much of a surprise. Still, I didn't expect to see the redheaded executioner to be killed so easily, only to be eaten afterwards. Truly a waste that the fine blonde lady had to die. The island itself seems to have become just as active now and we got a first taste of what to expect in the next few episodes. We now also know why the returned people had this strange disease and what triggers it. Without Gantetsusai's presence of mind, he undoubtedly would have met the same fate. As if the creepy bug weren't enough, multiple giant monsters appeared. Let the fight for survival begin. |

| Man what was with this last episode and the ending?? At least Gabimaru isn't such a villain like everyone else is. He has a heart full of love for his wife <3 maybe Gabimaru already has the elixir of life within him? That butterfly looked evil and the centipedes I would literally die on the spot. Who comes up with crazy designs such as the half shark half human?? |

| bruh this is getting better and better with each episode. the parallels between the two of them while they were fighting, each not being able to bring themselves to kill the other is just so delicious. the parallels are too good. the island also just looks so good too |

| Ohhh I love their duo! And things got escalated quickly. I never thought that executioner with an eyepatch will die on this third episode. The island is getting interesting, it's starting to show it's strange inhabitants... |
| i wanna binge this series so badly i can't believe i have to wait a week for each episode. i already know i'm gonna be reading the manga once this season is over |
