| I think most hindi dub haters are entirely missing the point. Yes it might not sound as good, but you know, it a great thing that we are getting hindi dubs, because everyone is talking about it. I even bought an annual subscription for crunchyroll. Am I gonna watch it?, maybe, maybe not. But I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't the Hindi dub. It easy to license shows for India, but dubbing requires extra effort, and the fact they went so far and reduced the prices, it shows they are serious, which made me buy the plan. Also Hindi dubs appeal to wider audience (normies as you might call). But these normies are the ones who are gonna bring the money in the end, not the subs watcher who pirates the show anyway. The thing is, Crunchyroll India has created a value in its subscription, which Netflix failed to create. And they went with most popular show of Winter 2022 and highest rated show of Fall 2021 (which is safe for wider audience too). |
