| More or less on par with the first half in general quality. It's nice to see how other countries were handling the Imperial remnants, but I think more time could have been spent on showing Lena growing her faction and the aftermath of the Republic's hubris instead of the brief montage we got. I suspect it was a casualty of adapting two books this time around rather than one (the earlier 11 episodes covered just the first novel while this covers the second and third). |

| 86 is the show that means so much to me! I used to think that it might not be as good as everyone says it is but turns out it's now one of my favorites. This finale episode made me cry tears of sadness and joy. I actually got my hopes down in the middle of the episode because I heard music playing so I thought they would end it just there but turns out they had more and it went out how I wanted it to. Thank you A-1 Pictures for this amazing adaptation! 10/10 episode 9/10 show overall I can't wait for another season if they make more! |

| Handler One.. what an emotional moment. Everyone waited for so long and now it is hear and what else can I say than it was such a bittersweet moment with absolut perfect staging and screenplay. There are Anime that have an end and then there Anime that stay in your mind for a while because they have a proper ending they deserve. 86 lost me in the half of the season but the ending was an absolute masterclass of ending an anime. 8/10 for me but I understand the higher ratings nonetheless. What a ride. |

| That was a beautiful ending to this. All this build-up of them fighting side by side from afar and them finally proper meeting was so beautiful. Just me tearing up the second Shin announced his name to her and her face slowly tearing up as well. I really hope they make a season 3 where we can see them fight alongside each other again. Sadly they probably won't because this is the perfect stopping point to sell people the Light Novel and a great place to end the anime where its conclusive enough to be really satisfying but wants you to see more so you'll get the LN. And I don't think they'll continue because its either they do the entire series or stop mid-way through and this is the best stopping point. Legit this season has been so good. The fights were epic as hell with the Hiroyuki soundtrack and the build-up to those last few episodes were amazing. Great payoff. Definitely a solid 9/10. Any anime that can make me happy cry is an amazing anime. |

| My heart hurts that the season has finally ended after such a long wait, but they didn't disappoint. I was only 10 minutes in but I felt such growth and such...exhaustion? If that's the right word. I can hear and feel Shinei's journey and growth. It felt like such a good...wrapping up of the season even though we didn't even see their reunion yet. Maybe it's the self-monologue -- Shinei's vulnerable lovely voice. Or it's the crescendo swell of Hiroyuki Sawano music, but it feels like the best expressed episode yet. I find it kind of cruel they didn't reveal themselves to Lena immediately in the last episode, but of course that's how it progressed in the novel too. I like that they show the buildup of why and how Annette and Lena go to the Federacy. CAT. TEPPY. Also little Lena movements... oh so cute! My heart hurt a lot hearing her say she won't forget. But also Bloody Regina? Translation change? KORE GAAA! Internal malfunction! New ED? Yep full on bawling seeing Fido's POV. They somehow pulled in the ending from the first volume (which I thought was rewritten when the series got the continued green light or something. We never did see that scene revisited in the second volume; I think it starts with them meeting in the garage?) Shinei's shining eyes. Him listing his title. The gang smiling and snickering. FUCK man. "Shin". Dude that hurt so good. Shin's gentle smile. Protecting Lena from Fido. Oh my god. IT Was everything I imagined and more. I wish I could individually write to each staff member who worked on this episode, because my god...it deserves every piece of acknowledgement. Perfect pacing. Perfect seiyuus. Perfect animations. Perfect music. They got Teppy in the pic too!!! The little hand dropping. It seems from the way it ended that there's no third season coming  |

| This was phenomenal. It was worth the wait man. We finally got the face to face meeting and now a new chapter starts. Shin and Lena had such awesome development throughout this series. I was especially worried Shin would only be monotone badass with nothing else to offer like the MC in Aldnoah Zero, but they really dug into his psyche and we found all the emotions swirling in his head. Survivor’s guilt, fear, loneliness, he had all these things, but luckily his friends and Lena gave him a new purpose and brought him out of that spiral. Really amazing show. Hopefully next time the animators will be given a better schedule and won’t have to be working up to the last second like they did with this season. 9/10 |
yup, this was my face when shin started talking to rena, fuck, the emotions were all there, it doesnt even feel like months passed in between the last episodes, fuck im moved, i havent ginven an anime a 10/10 sin sora yori tooi basho, and this one deserves it, i hope we can continue to watch this in the future. ...i hope LN readers are right that this just gets better |

| I lost it Ernst wearing a reindeer nose is too smart What a way to catch up to the end of the episode, And finally we saw what Lena was enduring since the fall of the Republic I hope the people change there change for the greater good Even though we didn't get to see her for the most part she's still gorgeous as hell, What a closer for the last episode I've seen better but this sums the second part up great job. Really anticipated watching this series and I must say this hooked me up to the Mech genre I'm not much a fan of Mech anime so I tried this one a shot and it hit me one of the greater Mech anime I've seen for a while hoping for a second season after this one. |

| amazing ending to an equally amazing season after 23 episodes they finally meet face to face a1 did a really good job with osts and animation the vas did a pretty good job aswell really hope we get another season they were some hiccups in this season with the delays but this final was definitely worth the wait hopefully, we get another season 9/10 |

| That last scene was absolutely perfect. The final sawano track, reusing the Fido pov, the flashbacks, lighting, and the continuous shot when Lena recognizes everyone... Honestly, one of the best use of audio-visuals to go beyond the source. I'm so glad A-1 decided to delay these final two episodes. Respect. |

| What a finale. Everything was perfect this time around as well. Lena finally met her previous squad and remembered everyone was so wholesome. And, those tears really speak for themselves. And, they were also happy to meet Lena. That was one hell of a reunion. I got teary. LOL But, overall what a great ending to the first season. I hope we get a confirmation for the second season soon. Great job, A-1. You guys killed it. |

| After how great the last episode was, I'm so happy that we got such a satisfying ending. Seriously, I wasn't that fan of the feeling you got from the ending of the first part that everyone was going to die except for maybe Shin, so the fact that all 5 survived and were finally reunited with Lena was just perfect for me. The last part of the episode was so so good :'D Of course once we see that Annette is safe and sound, you can imagine where this is going. Happy to see Lena and Annette being so friendly again, it's going to be interesting when Annette reunites with Shin after so long (which I assume will happen). Theo with the Shin x Lena fanarts haha, and then Kurena throwing his sketchbook at him lmao. Poor Kurena, she is way too cute <3. Anju's reaction to Shin's French toast xD. And now what?! The ending was so satisfying that it left me wanting more haha, hopefully we'll get more from this series. |

| I never this invested to Mecha Anime since Guilty Crown (another anime with Sawano Hiroyuki's music), this anime is 10/10 for me |
| This was a really great series 10/10. The final episode showed how everyone had changed and become more happier ^-^ Also, liked the music they played during that one scene :p |
| "It's been awhile Handler One".....god damn it they teased it the whole episode and I cracked when they finally did it. The tears are flowing man!!!! I am buying this whole show on blu-ray when its available. I want more seasons too!!!! I don't care if I'm greedy this show did it for me. |
