Had Pioran's hair ever been shown before this episode when she was nocked out?

I was always guessing myself who was the purple (pink maybe?) haired girl that appears in the opening and was kinda surprised to notice that Pioran shares the same hair (and skin) color. So that means we will know her past and how she left the island in the next episodes.

By the way, she is the only one who we don't know where is. Everyone else is in the boat with the exception of Tonari, Fushi and Hayase. Since Pioran was part of the "sacrifice group" with Hayase in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't allowed to leave like the others.

About that rape attempt, I would say that Hayase thought that having sex with Fushi would give her his recovery powers. Maybe she wants to turn back to what she was before all that shit happened or she is just crazy about immortality after almost getting killed.

Manga readers, is 3 episodes enough to cover everything that is going to happen?

A psycho bitch being super horny for a immortal creature is hardly darker than anything this series already showed like children sacrifice, human traficking or Gugu depressive childhood including having his body turn into a experiment lol

As invested as I have been in this series, I'm really not feeling this episode.

I just don't really care for the kids (maybe I've done that on purpose because characters you get attached to die anyway) and I just want Hayase to go die in a hole or something. I just hate "villains" like her.

Also the owl being totally okay after being hit by an arrow was kinda bs.

As always, really enjoyed the episode.
Tho one thing I must add, the massive drop in art in non-action scenes along with the occasional breaks is indicating some real production issues. I felt that this might happen at the end of the previous arc when the art went down on the very last minutes of that episode, after which there was about half a month break if I remember correctly. I just hope that the staff is doing alright.

I really like Tonari now she really grew into me:'( Her backstory her bravery she's awesome!! But now that she's likeable that probably means she's gonna die soon... Ahhhh I really don't want her to die!! She's probably the most character who really grew into me besides Parona, at least I don't want her to die by Hayase!!

Poor Fushi he just wants everyone to be safe</3 Also that bed scene? Was she tryna um rape... FUSHI?

Hayase is freakin' disgusting. What is her motive....I didn't understand anything about the army thing she explained in the arena. Does she just wanna f*ck Fushi.

The dream Fushi had tho. He's traumatized now after all the licking shit XD

Tonari is going back to save Fushi. Her death is nearing but still no impact like March and Gugu.

This got real freaky real quick! That was technically sexual assault, and he's underage (technically like 4 years old) so that made that scene even weirder.

Why didn't anyone kill Tanori or Hayase? Every other winner of the tournament got poisoned, shot with an arrow...but this goes smooth...the thousands of people just believed every word of her story...

Hayase is a visitor to this island but has immediate access to all these secret and enormous facilities? How? Also there aren't any laws so how do people visit this island and receive preferential treatment?

What a stupid, stupid ending. This little girl is going to save him? Really? Only plot armor can get her through that. And we already saw some of it in this episode: Apparently the owl is also immortal and has regenerative powers because after getting a direct shot from an arrow he got up in about an hour, with no medical attention, made a perfect recovery and start clawing the enemy again. The captain of the ship is the primary reason they got caught in the first place and yet is the one to protect Tanori as she leaves...is he bipolar?

This makes no sense at all. How is Hayase running everything when Tanori is the leader of the island now?

Honestly I'm finding the anime a bit monotonous, and maybe it's because Fushi spends a lot of time in the same place. If he had had a new twist of story every episode and learning from it as "mushishi" wouldn't it be more interesting?

Damned bitch's manipulative speech is unparalleled! Her rubbish talkshow managed to rile up this stupid herd of sheep to bow down to her will.

However, I'm glad (for now) that things didn't go exactly as HayaBITCH planned. Due to Fushi's swift action, not only did he save the children but also effectively manage to fulfil his promise to rescue Pioran, and Nando the martial art guy in addition to the hundreds of children from the island. That is until HayaBITCH knocked some characters unconscious. I feel something HORRIBLY WRONG is about to happen.

This is the first time Tonari truly ever did something that would benefit others more than it would benefitting herself, to risk her life and freedom only to save Fushi is a determination worthy of respect, but time will tell whether her efforts would even be helpful.

Judging from the preview... My worry grew even larger, something completely horrendous is probably happening... Motherfucking zombies? Were the people...

this episode was a load of bullshit, how the fuck does hayase defeat every form of fushi but couldnt even defeat parona by herself before. In just sometime she became OP af how? she also brings order under her in a place where order is not given a fuck about and is able to command people(oh wait criminals) who work for her so loyally. everything about this episode is just well if the writer wants it, it can be done with no logic whatsover.all the episodes i watched up until now made sense and had some meaning. Going to have to watch further i guess

Oh man, i REALLY liked this anime, till this last arc started. Everything till Gugu died was top anime, and i was happy i finally found an anime worth giving a 10/10.

At this point, the anime became uninteresting and i really don't care about the new characters at all. I even think Tonari is just annoying. I hope the show picks up again, cause this is a real shame how things are developing.

For me, it went from a perfect anime, to an average 7/10 anime in a couple of episodes.

I really hate Hayase a lot. And to be honest, I can't even find myself liking her as a villain. She'll probably be fleshed out more in the future but as of right now, she's just scum for the sake of being scum. You can't really analyze her actions.

And of course, I knew there would be people here who wanted Fushi to be r*ped just because Hayase is a "hot waifu." Why am I not surprised.

Anyway, the episode itself was decent. I loved that sequence of Fushi's dream when he was talking to all of his friends. It looks like Pioran yet again survives another arc, thank gosh. The way Hayase used her power as the leader of the island was kind of weird, not gonna lie. It makes sense that she'd declare Tonari as the winner so then the entire island would try to kill her and she can't interfere. But everything else beyond that was just strange. Why did the captain of the ship go against Tonari just to change his mind later? Maybe he realized that Fushi isn't bad when he and Tonari ended up saving all the children-- but it wasn't conveyed the best way. Why did Hayase drug everyone when Fushi was going to go with her anyway and it accomplished absolutely nothing? This episode definitely had a lot of pacing issues and those were two of the non-sense consequences of it.

The psycho Hayashe is unhealthily obsessed with Fushi (not that there is anything healthy about her), being apparently sure that they were sent by the gods - perhaps to test her faith or something. She took the kids as an obvious insurance in order to control Fushi.

I think she tastes Fushi because she thinks they are something divine and either wants to have sex with them to 'be divinely blessed' or sth or to make little mini Fushis with the same powers, who she will of course use either to raise her own power or her rotten country's.

There is just one major problem with this episode, which started manifesting at the end of the previous one :

How can Fushi reproduce foods laced with Western Morning Glory (WMG), which put under everyone who ate them, and yet they are not immune to it? In other words how can someone who can generate Western Morning Glory be put under by, er, Western Morning Glory? That is not a modest plot error, it is a glaring plot hole (used as a plot device), the most serious one up until this episode. Western Morning Glory both affects and does not affect Fushi, depending on the needs of the plot.

There was a simple way to resolve this plot hole : do not have Fushi lace the foods he generated with WMG. But nope, they wanted to have it both ways. How else would Tonari fall asleep and dream about her past, right? Normal sleep is boring apparently. The writer took the easy way out and ended up with a contradiction :/

edit: As for the owl it does not make sense to be alive, since it took a direct arrow hit. Is it a Fushi fragment or sth?

Murdering a child was already bad enough, so when you add rape to the list, redemption for Hayase sounds like a joke.

Not at all. First off, let's get this straight. Murdering is a harsh word when March was the one who jumped in the arrow. I'd rather call it it an unfortunate accident or a brave sacrifice 😔 also not rape, but attempted rape, sexual assault at best.

Redemption should be possible or at least atonement by acknowledging the wrong deeds, making sure that they won't happen again and possibly making up with something extraordinary. I'm not opposed to a approach that would try to reinvent her as a companion of Fushi.

i don’t get it, why are you trying so hard to defend her? attempted rape is just as bad because she would’ve gone through with it if not interrupted. i don’t even see how her acknowledging her deeds would make any of them forgivable.

I must say it is indeed bad now. This is really sad, bc it started off so great. Comparing March's and Gugu's arc with this Tonari one is like comparing two different animes. The first two were so greatly paced and the story was just awesome, not to mention the incredible characters and their bonding with Fushi. Now it seems like the story isn't advancing. It is extremely boring and repetitive. No good new characters and the focus on Tonari is just bad. She isn't good as a character, nor as a person. I truly hope it gets better and Fushi starts to evolve.

i had my reservations with a lot of stupid shit in the gugu arc but this one is just awful throughout and the monotony, contrivances, and lazier, wackier writing is grating. that and what's OP is suddenly useless until it's OP again and on and on and on.

Honestly, they didn't need this whole tournament and Tonari thing to have Fushi and Hayase meet again.

How in the world does Tonari know Hayase is lying? I would assume she knew about Fushi if she told me to make them get on the ship. And Tonari just went and listened to Hayase.

How long have Fushi and Tonari known each other? They act like they have known each other for years. Then again, that's how a lot of characters in this show act.

Tonari looks so derpy faced when talking to that guy about the Skyfish thing.

These annoying kids... "When did he become your immortal?" Not like he was yours either bro. This whole "Tonari feels so connected to Fushi feels so forced and rushed. We didn't even see this bond being built.

Ewww, when I saw Hayase carrying a limp Fushi out of the arena like that I had the thought, "Is she going to rape him or something?" and she really did try. That was disturbing because he's so innocent and seems to have no concept of sex or sexual desires of his own. Though immortal, Fushi is still mentally like a developing child. Hayase said it himself... he was incapable even of speaking only a few years ago in the show's timeline.

I agree with some of the criticisms of the previous posters... everything since Gugu's death is dragging down what was previously a 9/10 anime. I've waited to rate it because I'd heard that the island arc isn't that great; turns out whoever said that was right.

There was a lot of questionable logic in these past few episodes. Fushi definitely could have averted Hayase stabbing his neck with the poison thing again. Shouldn't he have changed into that rodent form and dropped to the ground so she couldn't get him??

Also, the arena fight was just really poorly coordinated. There's no reason Fushi couldn't have EASILY defeated Hayase in his Oniguma form. It was stupid how easily she won. A few hits with those claws would knock her out almost instantly.

I might have reservations now about rating this show above a 7 (7.5 if MAL allowed it)... but we'll see if it's redeemed for me in eps. 18-20. I started watching it only now to catch up with the currently airing season 2, so I hope that will be better as well.

The animation quality got terrible in this episode and that pissed me off. Be careful animators, be careful, because we notice those lazy drawings of yours, even if you only show them for 1 to 2 seconds, we notice and it's an instant turn-off. And when those short and bad-looking scenes come one after one, they pile up and turn the whole episode into a shit show.

yeap I was really hoping that this would not happen but I guess in every anime, the first episode looks cinematic and beautiful, and the second is the same... 3,4,5 "mid" but acceptable and finally after the 15th or so, the animators start to just don't care. Maybe they think that we would not notice because the scenes are 2 seconds, but the bad-looking scenes pile up and it suddenly becomes too much for us to handle, I could understand if the whole episode looked good and 1 scene looked like shit but it's not like that, unfortunately. Still, I am really enjoying this series and I am gonna hope and pray that
it won't happen again. I don't know maybe I am being too sensitive because I am also interested in art and drawing and proportions are very important to me, and the fact that they are professionals and they knew that their show was going to be on tv and still let those lazy scenes be featured.

yeah, it does happen often in anime. though i don't think it's due to the animators not caring, but more so that the executives that schedule the production of the anime often times are less interested in the artistic integrity and quality of their projects, let alone the passion, health and conditions of the artists that actually make the shows.

considering the second season is airing currently, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not really better visually speaking, there is what to like story wise, so maybe that would be good news to you.
