I can't get why season 4 get so much hate for the animation. Sure it is a downgrade, but imo just from a 10/10 to a 7-8/10. The most people doen't like the CGI what I can understand, but in cases of cinematography this season ist good as previous seasons, imo.
Another thing is, since when everything is about animation? Since Demons Slayer?
Just look at Monster... the animation is damn bad, even for this year, but this Anime lives from the insane Story and characters... like AoT. AoT is a shounen, but not a typical fighting shounen... the most highlights and hyping scenes of this anime are not only fights or powerups... it is the huge amount of amazing tiwsts and turns, great character developement and insane worldbuilding.
I can unterstand every person who wishes the animation would be like in previous season, me too... but if we not got this adaption we would never got one.
MAPPA was the only studio who trys to produce the last season... so I am very thankful, that this masterpiece get an full adaption.
But as I said, it's just my opinion.
Are you one of those who lick Mappa's boots? the mappa studio is complete shit (I mean the producers, the animators who strive for everything are the best people in the world to endure working there). Obviously, tell me, who in their right mind would agree to animate an anime in just 8 months? because remember, no studio wanted to do it since it was impossible, but of course, the mappa production committee would have thought "oh, the shitty AOT fans will swallow everything we give them", of course, because they are only guided by the money, they don't give a shit if you like how it's adapted, or if I don't like how it looks, their only reason for accepting the project was money, what a great studio, right? We should be grateful for that, right? wait, i'm not done yet, mappa was animating many other animes, so why accept another project? because like all animation studios, the only thing that moves their stupid asses is money, but mappa is the most shit I've seen. and also remember, we are talking about shingeki no kyojin, an anime recognized worldwide, which had very high expectations, with fans who asked for something incredible, and although the animation is good and the cgi is the best I have seen, it is very below what was wit. And finally, which is what culminated everything: the trailer that was animated with a fucking good animation, and that showed several scenes from this season that looked incredible, everyone excited about this, right? well, we all know what happened. It was all a lie, they took the time to show us a trailer of which we will never have that animation, at least the study that ex-arm encouraged showed us in its first trailer how the anime would look, sincerity above all. And maybe I have mentioned it, but here the only ones who suffer are the animators, those who have to put up with some shitty bosses, working inhuman hours, our great animation studio, right? Now tell me, lick mappa boots, are you grateful that they brought something that literally no one in the world desperately asked for and that we were all willing to wait for it to have a decent production?
