Love Live! is a great anime to watch if you want to smile and have a nice time, until the end of episode 11. This episode was sad, I was close to crying!

Yup. One stupid action from her and now we have all of this stupid forced drama.. couldn't she just have made a simple choice using common sense? Maybe they would have been able to participate in Love Live if Honoka wasn't so stupid. And also if Kotori wasn't ditching them lol

I feel like I'm going to receive a lot of hate for this.. but

..I kinda felt relieved when Umi called Honoka a terrible person?
I never really thought Honoka was going to be a reliable character for the group from the start... I thought she was going to be one those characters that everyone loves for an insufficient reason... but the events that took place with the choices she made made me having a stronger disliking

... I guess I'm an awful person as well XD

This drama is literally killing me, I want to lay back and enjoy this anime but I can't when I'm cringing at this bullshit. Everything before episode 11 was great, but it's all downhill from there. Praying next season doesn't have as much pointless cringeworthy drama as this one...

That slap felt so good! Honoka is really pissing me off for a couple of episodes.

Yeah give up! Get the hell out of here! You stupid egocentric f*cking hypocrite! And you dare get mad at Kotori...

They cancelled everything from one accident? They were so close, but it's okay, there are always another time. But, I don't like the depressed Honoka, I like the cheerful and optimistic one. Hope that slap can turn her back to her usual self. Though I can understand why she would be like that. She's been through a lot, a guess it's time for some break?

Ehh, no more of this awful melodrama please. Garbage episode from beginning to end. I'm fine with drama, but not when it's this hamfisted, soulless and emotionally manipulative. Not one character felt as if they were acting naturally, though I guess I was expecting a little too much from Love Live to be able to sit back and enjoy some cheesy, overly optimistic idol-y cuteness with some catchy j-pop tunes.

Hey look, more melodrama because I guess we need something for the last episode and a half. Can't wait for everything to be solved at the end of the next episode in a neat little package because of the power of friendship. At least it's almost done.

Why did they stop participating without her consent?
Why was Honoka not worried about Kotori?
Why didn't Kotori tell Honoka earlier?
Why does this one accident cause so much melodrama? Just have it be a lesson for Honoka and then move on.

This was an okay episode. I didn't like the forced drama but I did feel some emotion and we were shown flaws with Honoka's character.

I liked the slap at the end, but really everyone should get slapped.
The statement below is true.

Bright slap flag appeared when Niko wanted to punch Honoka .
Friendship being broken ,drama, I didn't expected those to happen... maybe just a little , somehow I enjoy this more .
If anyone knows an anime like the 2nd half of this episode please tell me .

Reactions/other things while watching the episode:
-I thought it was really fucking adorable that Nico was the first one to ask how Honoka was doing, and she looked really (openly) concerned in this screenshot

-Mild inconsistency with Hanayo commenting on how devastated Honoka looked when they broke the news about not participating in Love Live to her, when all the first years were standing outside the house
-Pretty sure Nico and Eli drank from the same water bottle
-Turns out that the reason for the delay in the big reveal was regret for not being able to get Honoka's opinion on it before making the decision.
-Interestingly enough, Honoka's face was the only one not visible during the actual announcement, and the atmosphere of the scene was pretty much the exact opposite of the scene in last episode where they were discussing what song to perform at the school festival. The lighting was also the opposite, with the scene from last episode being noticeably brighter than the similar scene in this episode.
-Nico didn't sound all that bothered in the scene toward the end (after Honoka contemplates giving up on excelling as an idol group), which kinda took away from the scene. However, she outright states her motivation behind joining μ's, which actually is a pretty good indicator of how far the group has gotten.

The episode definitely focused more on Honoka and Kotori, and it wasn't until afterwards that I realized that this is actually a Honoka character arc than a collective μ's arc. I also realized that the three original members of μ's didn't get character arcs until now in the show, so I see why this episode was necessary, but I didn't really enjoy it that much. The episode did, however, do a good job with the escalation of conflict within the group, I thought.

Lots of bad decisions and bad drama. The only real consequence of Honoka getting sick was one failed concert. Somehow they decided that this means they will also withdraw from the competition. To me, it just looked like that was the team's way of shitting on Honoka for daring to get sick. Very frustrating when they say "it's all our fault" like it was some kind of accident. They CHOSE to withdraw. Shitty forced drama.

Really intense and well-built in terms of directing. The screenplay manages to perceive the situation tense and dramatic, the end is more than good, with Kotori that becomes very selfish towards other girls; good Umi!

So much drama! At least they saved the school, but everything else in this episode was so depressing. ;_;
I hope Umi's dramatic slap will change Honoka's mind and make her recover her former motivation. This kind of slap usually has this effect.
Not sure if Kotori will actually leave. That'd be sad, so I hope not. (I wonder what will hapen when the 3rd year girls eventually graduate, though.)

Oh boy... The whole thing is falling apart piece by piece. This was sad and made me feel uneasy... Poor Kotori... Nico got mad and understandably so, Honoka quiting... Umi slapped her face... So much going on right now, drama from multiple angles. All senses on maximum for the ending.

After Honoka passed out, I was horribly worried for her...then she was fine after all...then everything started slowly crashing down ;-;

They messed up the show, dropped out of Love Live, and Kotori's leaving. The school might've been saved but it was the opposite for Muse. Honoka let despair take over her because of blaming herself for being inconsiderate by being inconsiderate and quitting the group. It was devastating to see them fight and reject any hope of being successful after all they've been through... I hope Umi slapped some sense into her because it's a very hard time for them all and me apparently ;-;

Uuuuggghhh, why'd it have to finally get melodramatic?
I moved before, and left all my closest friends behind. I never cried.
And besides, Kotori will come back in a few years, so it's not like they'll never see her again.

And why is Kotori so bummed out too? Fuck friends! Your future is what matters most! Getting a proper job, college, etc. Besides, you'll see them in a few years.

It's like these characters can't live with each other for more than a day.

Exactly how I felt about it too. I mean come on, you've been the trio (including Kotori) have been best friends like forever, and this happens? .. You'd think that Umi would at least try to understand what Honoka is going through.

Calling her "the worst" felt really out of place.

Oh shit, things got serious really quick, and it's a clusterfuck all around..
It's interesting thing that genki girl like Honoka got character development like that, and honestly maybe it's for the better, she's not only genki now, she's more relatable.. And, I think, after a couple of meh episodes of training I liked this drama episode more..

Not too big a fan of this drama for reasons already mentioned. It's being aggravated a bit too much. This is quite a weird placement for it as well. I hope the ending isn't too miraculous lol

Poor Honoka tho. All that optimism couldn't have backfired any worse. Everything must feel like a mistake at this point to her.

Honestly I hate Honoka in this episode. I fully get what she's going through and what she's feeling as I've been there myself before, the only difference is she let it affect the people around her and honestly her actions are selfish. I just hope things work out in the final episode.

Also on a lighter note I had to do a double take when I saw the dream and george thing, I guess love live predicted the dream smp?

This episode is so heartbreaking for the viewers and the idols themselves. The toughest breakdown and moment is finally here. When Honoka decided to quit and Umi slapped her, i felt so sad. She is the one who made and inspired the unit and now she is the one quitting. I was cheering Honoka the whole time that she can still do it and stop Kotori from going overseas. Don't give up!!
