Don't put much value on what average US conservatives or alt-righters say. Even I'm starting to think that they're idiots. The majority of right-wing people in the US don't understand history very well and consequently have no idea what a traditional society would actually look like and imagine it as some puritanical fantasy. I've come to the conclusion lately that US society may be completely hopeless. I've read about traditional societies where dads would literally take their 15/16 year old son to a brothel and pay one of the girls to spend the night with him and things like this weren't uncommon. Do that in the US today and the girls would likely refuse to sleep with him and you'd be arrested on "child abuse" charges. In 15th and 16th century Europe, guys who didn't go to brothels were actually considered suspicious because they thought if a single guy wasn't visiting prostitutes he might be trying to seduce a married woman. Traditional societies, in many cases, have only really been concerned with stopping "the perversion of sex" not with stopping sex altogether. Consider for example that asking for anal sex in a 15th century brothel would've gotten you blacklisted and ostracized from society as a deviant but at the same time, it was perfectly acceptable even for the clergy to frequent these same establishments. Peasants in taverns joked about the priests being so wild with lust. People back then were concerned with preventing adultery, sexual fetishism, and unregulated promiscuity. The exact things that today we don't seem to give a shit about but now we do give a shit about whether men sexually objectify women and god forbid anybody under the age of 18 ever have sex with somebody over 20. Japanese society and anime girls are just authentically traditional whereas American conservatives are fake traditionalists. Its been so long since the US was a genuinely traditional society that people here don't remember what it looks like anymore. The 1960s sexual revolution was basically an abortion of traditional society's intense focus on marriage, relationships, and family. But Americans today only know what the propaganda has taught them things were like in the past and the social propaganda here tells them the historical past was full of societies who all hated sex and tried to prevent people from ever feeling good during sex (and for some of them, that is true, but not nearly as universally as people think). I'd recommend the following for understanding more about what less prudish traditional societies are like.
