Okay, its really true that everything become more clearer as the day finally reach its end. Youta, at last, realized Hina's importance role at his summer life. He even decided to search back into her past (such nice revelations, in the exact good timing; a profesor was Hina's grandfather, the reason of Youta's family to took care of Hina, her former father, and the reason behind the death of Hina's mother), and dug up with it.

Its just for the sake of his (finally, before he regret) careness toward Hina (after a long way to go!). How dedicated person, Youta was there, i am glad, before its end. After realizing it from the impactful situations of Hina's existence at his life, as the previous taking film event reach its end, really affect his mind. Hina's father reaction was so cold, even with a little funny attempt previously, its not convince me to judge him as a bad person. He didn't even care about a miracle, only for his belief as a doctor, the judge over Hina's life was so unbeliavable. The reason of Youta for just leaving him and not telling all the truth might be a nice thing, those person was not even worth to deal with (but, his last line, might be enough care for me to mention. Youta must be careful on his adult state. Lol)

But, it seemed Youta plans to be too soon, and led them into another problem. Because at the end, Suzuki would be able to track them down from the information that gathered all via Hina's former dad, that looks like Youta state on his future (lol, joking). The intimidation face was real. Suzuki will become a potential thread for the rest of the show. Okay. Shit must be reach the end slowly in the next episode, as Suzuki's attempt to reach Hina; a miraculous prodigy child that has been able to survived from an uncurable syndrome. Could Youta and the gangs defend her? Or its might've another route to solved the last day of Hina? Or there is no other way to stop it, and, say good bye to all of the peoples. Which is mean, really the end game of them, yes all of them in the poster. Then, Youta wake up, but still remembering about Hina, their good memories, together. Okay that shit is really depressing, as i am editting my comment here ....

Well, the heavy sci-fi theme shall be involve much at the rest of the episode. I shall be prepare before its reach me!

They really had us at the tea scene. Nearly thought OMG it's all coming together, and then that happened.XD
Though we got some info on Hina's past, the question still remains on how she can deduce the future. We're up for the final 4 days. Gotta get that rain check.
When someone asks me why I like anime, I'd say Just Because.

Well I hope that they would be able to finish it before the world end or is it Hina gonna end? Is Hina really a God or is she just a clone that can predict things? This is indeed Jun Maede works looking forward at the very end.

Finally an episode with actual meat instead of random bullshit.

I wonder which route they will go with Hina.

1. The real one is dead and she is a clone with limited lifespan.

2. She is indeed the real one but the professor's experiment only temporarily made her healthy.

3. All of this takes place in virtual reality.

4. Something nobody expected.

She can't be a clone, or at least a direct one. Her father or her stepmother didn't recognize her until Youta said it was Hina.

Atlos said:
I find it hard to believe that Hina's parents just accepted that Hina's is cured and didn't question it one bit

Hina's stepmom had an anxiety attack and mentioned how she doesn't want to "go back." She may have been involved in the experiments in some way, so the two of them are at least aware that Korogi was experimenting, maybe.

-------------------------------------

This one took a bit. I predict that there is a connection between the CEO and Youta's parents, that Hina is more than just Hina, and that there is someone else who is looking for Hina.
Possible spoilers.

Edit: Agh, part of it is debunked already. Michiru Chika wasn't living with Korogi, but was the receiver of a letter that he sent. Still, the fact still stands that Hina's father didn't recognize her. She's also the only person with pink hair, and she has no matching features with her father.

-------------------------------------

Did anyone else notice the weird flash and sound muffling at 10:10? It's so out of place. I can't help but wonder if it means that the two of them are moving outside the range of... something?

The show started preparing us to the sad ending it was promised to us. I don't really think of her as a clone, but maybe her condition was rewinded, or something that the next episode might reveal about some experiment, but I feel like the scenario from Your Lie in April at least for her, does her knowledge power has something to do with the end of the world too?! I'm Looking forward to what comes next

Don't do that to me. It almost made me believe that Hina's father wasn't able to see her at all. Wtf?! I had a big sigh of relief there, as they managed to pull it off as just another comedic moment.

Honestly, when I heard that they would meet up with the father that we get some answers.. Well we did, but those answers raised so many damn questions again. Hina suffered Logos Syndrome and her father says it's a miracle that she's looking as healthy as she does right now. But miracles won't last, that might explain why "the world" (or her world) will end in 4 days? Hina already aware that she's going to die? Maybe? As I said, so many questions but this mystery sure reignited my interest in the show!

Hina’s dad had a pretty emotionless response to her being alive. It is also looking more and more likely that Hina will end up dying. In general, this series is just an average 5/10 for me.

same, this series is hitting all the "world's okayest anime" notes for me. it's not a bad thing, though. average is good in its own way.

one thing though: is anyone else majorly weirded out by the seemingly romantic tension they're cultivating between Youta and Hina? the anime has made sure to point out DOZENS of times that Hina is a child, and Youta et al. are seniors, so 17-18. yet this episode was full of like.... romantic breadcrumbs. it's creeping me out majorly.

I don't get the logic behind Hina's father's reasoning... or to be more precise, I don't really want to believe it. Imagine abandoning your daughter with a terminal condition because you are not man enough to remain by her side until her last breath...

So... main plot finally started but since I failed to empathize with any of these characters, I couldn't care less about the resolution of this series. Guess Hina will die in the end or else, Youta will end up doing something to save her but at the cost of screwing the world in the process.

I liked this episode. The character motivations were interesting and it was quite a funny episode. Personally, I feel like the relationship between Yota and Hina is going in a weird direction. It looks like the plot will start ramping up finally and some answers will be given. Though, I'm unsure whether it will be satisfying or not.

I see how there will be about as many episodes as days remaining in the world. I'm going to theorize for a bit here. Maybe the entire world is not ending, but rather her own world is ending. Perhaps she can't predict the future past that point, so she reached the conclusion that the world must be ending. Also, concerning the fish that keeps on appearing, it might be a symbol for ephemerality.

I commented on that feeling of romantic tension last episode. I didn’t feel it as strongly in this episode, but I’m glad someone else noticed it too. My hope is that they are going for more of a parental or older sibling bond, but it really is not coming across that way.

Was it specified how old Hina was? She's like 15-16 wasn't she? Anyhow, people should have seen this coming as it's a cliche for the main male lead to initially like a side character and then slowly fall in love with the main female lead.

Here it is, the feels! Only episode 8, this will be strong.

What an episode! Can't believe we found out so much about Hina in a single episode, so now my biggest question is, did her grandpa managed to actually heal her or brought her soul back somehow? Because it doesn't seem that she's sick, especially after that beginning of the episode.
Damn, this whole episode was pretty intense, the whole scene was Youta thought that nobody could see Hina, really scared me. Plus the whole disease thing and her father refusing to accept her, damn!

So now there are 2 things that i wonder, what will happen in 4 days and how are Hina's powers explained.

That ED scene :/ That guy is getting really close already.

Honestly, i am just hoping for a happy ending, that would be amazing, can't handle any more bad endings in 2020 lmao

Some other observations that I and some other people have noticed.

assvision2020 from Reddit pointed out that even in bed, Hina wears her nun clothes, just without her hat.

The yellow bow is the same, and at another point, you can see the blue outline on her cape thing.
I went back and also found that Hina walks out of the onsen with her nun clothes on too.

saxena5355 from the Discord found DNA strands made of numbers in the 3rd PV.

waltham845 from Reddit also thinks that the circle imagery in the OP is reminiscent of genome sequencing charts.
Here's one I found of a bacteria called Pirellula sp. strain 1:

Many people including Chilligan, Guaymaster, and Guaymaster from Reddit have pointed out that Munin (Munnin) is the name of one of the ravens that accompany Odin.

In theology, the word "logos" means the word or order of God. It also comes from the same root as "lexis," a word related to speech. This relates to all the ideas about language-processing, and it's honestly a pretty clever connection on Jun Maeda's part.

Her father could have done that, but I feel the ultimate blow that led to him abandoning her was his previous wife (Hina's mother) committing suicide. That was a blow that was simply too much to handle for him.

Guys, I almost cried....I almost cried....fuck.

Well this episode pretty much explained the true identity of Hina. Her mother is gone and the father left Hina abandoned, with the scientist adopting her. In this episode, we got to meet Hina's dad, and their reception is not that good....

I almost thought that Hina has disapperared when the parents didn't noticed her at first oh come on she is just like Menma all along. Thankfully that idea got away fast, but in exchange we finally learned the truth. Hina has Logos Syndrome or let's just say cerebral atrophy.

And dear lord, when Hina's father said, "you wouldn't know it until you experienced it" and "a luster of miracle is only temporary, once it fades, reality always sets in"...I can already know that Hina might not stay long with us.

It was really brutal that I almost cried. One more powerful dialogue and music and my tears will be welling in my eyes. But I can theorize what might have happened in the past...Here's how it goes (in my theory):

Either way, what will happen in the next four weeks will be an emotional pain in the arse. Things will go heavy and moody for us folks. 4 DAYS LEFT

I want to cherish this smile for the moment...because you may never know when it'll go away.

and right after watching this episode, for me i think the countdown she is saying is her own countdown before she left the world she is right now.

as said by her father, she has a Logos syndrome and its a miracle that she is still alive but in the end reality will kick in.

Looks like the hints last episode were on the mark!

Dr. Korogi’s research on natural immune systems is now reasonably confirmed to be due to Hina’s incurable disease.

As far as this episode goes, I’m really not a fan of Hina’s dad. Hina also treats him as a stranger because that is basically their relationship dynamic. His choice to abandon her must’ve weighed heavily on him — but to not even try speaking to her when he has the chance to, to not apologize for having left her, and for not giving her any closure, considering she’s his own daughter is irredeemable.

Even more so, considering he knows Logos Syndrome is incurable, and he is given an opportunity to speak to her before it’s too late, regardless of what happened in the past. Really horrible father clearly.

Still not sure how the hacker connects to the plot, besides that he’s looking for Hina. Perhaps they know something new about Logos syndrome?

I’m still liking this show, but some of the setup seems quite random and out of place. The hacker for one, but also the episodes on infinite riichi and the other characters seem unrelated to the overarching plot about Hina. The father being introduced this episode also seems quite random and pointless, considering it amounted to nothing.
I feel like they should’ve spent more time, giving subtle details about Hina from the very beginning, as now it seems like they are playing catch-up and adding details all at the end.

Nevertheless... I’m still looking forward to how this unfolds.
If it ends up being super heartbreaking, I’ll be thoroughly impressed!

After two sorta generic episodes, we finally got a good one.

While the origin of Hina's omniscience is yet to be revealed, her past got a lot of exposure in this episode. I have to say, it was simultaneously interesting and depressing. Her father did a really cruel thing to her by abandoning her, but still, I can't say he is entirely at fault. It must have been really hard for him as well.

A great episode in my opinion. Definitely one of the better ones of the show. The music was also fucking spectacular in it. I hope they can keep it up.

Only 4 days left, huh? We are nearing the end.

I think I know how Jun gonna make this anime to be the saddest anime he ever made.
The countdown does not refer to the end of the world but, it actually refers to how much time for Hina's disease to come back to her. This is because her father stated that there is no cure for the Logos syndrome. In the of this series, I can predict that Youta will have to make a decision between let Hina live but suffer because of the Logos syndrome or let Hina die so she will no longer suffer from that disease.

That beginning was sad as shit with Hina crying. I noticed that she was in an hospital bed in the flashback so, I immediately recognized that she must have an illness.

Bruh, they fucking got me. I legit believed what Yota was thinking lmao, that was honestly brilliant. Hina's father is shit for abandoning her but, we don't really know the full story yet so, I can't really judge him yet.

Well, as many people have already said the world ending might not necessarily be the world but, it is Hina's that will end. Though there's still other possibilities, we still don't know what Hiroto's goal is to really ascertain what will happen. Looking forward to the next episode.

it hasn’t been specified how old she is, but it’s been made clear MANY times now that Hina is a child. in the first episode they pointed out how she looks like she’s in grade school. she targeted lolicons/pedos at the festival because she thought they would want her (because she is a child). Youta’s parents called her a child when talking about her to Youta. she sleeps in the same bed as her foster parents for godssakes. there is nothing in the anime to suggest that Hina is at the same level of mental, emotional, or physical maturity as the other leads.

i would agree that it’s a predictable twist IF Hina was the same age as the others. i didn’t really want to believe that this show was gonna have a college age dude fall in love with a (possibly mentally ill) CHILD, but here we are i guess?

Based off of the foreshadowing the father seemed to be making and the countdown the show has been showing combined with Hina's backstory...I feel like we're moving towards a tragic end. I could be wrong because the show can oscillate from serious to not serious as seen in the whole milk tea scene.

For real though, who's this corporation that we keep seeing?

Now we're getting into the backstory of Hina and it's one that does raise more questions, but at the same time, does make me feel with potential sadness, too. =(

Hina's grandfather was the mentor of Yota's parents, so it answers how willingly Yota's parents wanted to take her in once they connected the dots back in the earlier episodes.

The trip to see Hina's real father was very interesting. Although the show did pull a fast one over us, making Yota think that her father couldn't see Hina at all, but it wasted no time in ramming the real drama immediately afterwards.

The Logos syndrome is, by the looks of it, a fictional disease, since it doesn't show up on the likes of Google, but aside from that, in this show, it's supposed to be incurable disease and I can guess why Hina's father decided to abandon her. Understandable as that may be, since some humans can't stand that sort of pain, but it's still a rather sad and harsh thing to do to Hina when she was so young.

I assume that her grandfather was able to give her a new lease of life, but I think it's becoming clearer now that the days left until the "end of the world", which stands at 4 days left, actually means how many days left before Hina dies. If that's true, then that'll hit me hard in the heart. =(

On the plus side, at least we were treated to Hina happily playing with her father's dog on the beach, and P.A Works did an excellent job with the visuals of the beach as well. It was really pretty at sunset. ^_^

Suzuki and his helper are getting closer to Hina now, as they made an appearance at her father's house at the end of the episode. Sooner or later, Suzuki will catch up and find Hina and I can only wonder what will he do when he does she her. Capture her, or kill her? Whatever he chooses, I can only worry for Hina and Yota right now...
