My prediction on Hina's origins. I'm not the first one to predict this, but potential spoilers, even if it's a little bit of a stretch.

--------------------------------------

They really called his Dragon Quest character Zeus lmao

They really did just state the themes of this whole show lol. I loved how the piano song transitioned into the BGM afterwards.
I'm also betting $10,000 that this will come back as an insert song later on.

Lol those movies references though.

And on the topic of references, we get another anime where Hanae Natsuki plays a guy who plays the piano lol. Really well done piano scene however, Izanami's pretty good.

The OP and ED sound pretty good, and the visuals for the OP are quite interesting.

Hyped for next week's episode, wonder what happened to Sora?

Here's my rundown of what happened on each day; let me know if you have any other ideas for the timeline!
Day 30 - Met Hina, all of ep. 1, first part of ep. 2
Day 29 - Hina comes up with the movie plan and recruits imouto
Day 28 - Filming Armageddon
Day 27 - Filming Rocky
Day 26 - Filming Edward Scissorhands
Day 25 - Learning to play the piano
Day 24 - Meeting with Izanami, little sister's accident, end of ep. 2

Day 24 and 25 could be the same day and we're moving forward into day 24, but that's unclear at the moment.

I'm hoping that we get an ending more on the lines of Nagi no Asu Kara where there are sad parts, but the overall ending is more happy than sad. I could also go for bittersweet. What I'm not particularly wanting at the moment is a high-drama tragic ending, since it's the same note they hit in Angel Beats! (IMO successfully) and Charlotte! (IMO not so well.)

Also, was anyone else bothered that when Izanami came in on the piano she scooted in from the left, but was playing a higher-pitched part? It didn't ruin the scene by any means, but it broke my immersion for a second or two.
Every day you can read a book or watch some anime is a good day!

Comedy is a hit or miss, Hina is starting to be very annoying. I don't really feel Jun Maeda or Key on this anime.

Huh? The comedy part is really typical for Key. Not to mention that almost every Key story has start like this.

I didn't mean the comedy, comedy is still awful like a majority of Key works with the exception of Key's best works like Kanon and Little Busters. What I mean is that this is completely underwhelming even for a Key anime.

I am starting already feeling the sad part coming although it seems still pretty happy and lively though. The end makes me worry quite...

Editing those movies will get the first prize everywhere...I mean those reactions by Izanami are just too good..she just wants to go home!

Not bad learning to play that on the piano in just 1 or 2 days...respect. The piano music is beautiful but also quite a little sad.

Izanami finally smiled. Yota had another chance to confess and he didn't...god damnit!!

The parents know something.

My emotions are conflicted in this anime because I've been laughing a lot more then being on my toes thanks to the first two episodes. But I guess With Maeda it's alwasy the last 3-4 episodes that will get serious so, shit.

People not understanding the boxing scene have clearly never seen Rocky. On the other hand we had an Armageddon and Edward Scissor-hands Reference as well.

show is still entertaining had some Ano Natsu de Matteru vibes if the theme of filming is gonna stick around lol two of scenes were clear references rocky/edward scissorhands

learnt more on some of the characters seems the family is actually serious of her being related to them in some way

OP is kinda my favorite one this season in which there's a lot of good themes it's even better than the ED which i thought was already good, speaking of songs that piano song is a 100% gonna be played at the end as the sad theme most likely with vocals lol

The gags were really on-point here, serving dual purpose. I like how the parents seem to know what's up with Hina.
Also the "organization" hint" as a gag.

I'd say the protagonist is actually quickly becoming likable and relatable, which was a KEY / Jun Maeda issue for me with Little Busters and Angel Beats for a large portion of the story.

Drama is starting though, so let's see how they handle it without making it full-on cringe like Charlotte...

I don't really like the comedy here since it was not my taste. But damn, the piano scene is REALLY BEAUTIFUL. I have high hopes for this anime.

Also people referring the child as "Hina" but not "Odin" is really weird, since Hina/Satou is just a her made up name but Odin is her real name

lovely OP♡

LMFAO MY BROTHER TRIES EVERYTHING TO WOO HIS CHILDHOOD FRIEND LOL!! the entire movie filming was hilarious, i love youta's reactions, he's a really likeable MC.

the humour was great for me, sora is so cute too & izanami is sooooo pretty, i seriously love her hair & wardrobe. heck, even youta's dad was funny lolol

hmmm, is hina a dying girl? to think this day would actually come, let's do what we can for her - big indication her parents know something big about hina, is she terminally ill & 30 days later she is going to pass away? something along those lines. a gut feeling that - someone's going to die, right? of course, i'm most likely completely wrong. that seems too straightforward a plot

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

Ah right, finally! I was being in doubt, where the hell was Hina got named in before? Satou was the name of her, that she revealed out of sudden, beside Odin. Was that came out from the PV? Oh well, alright, dumped that shit, and let focus on the topic again. Hina Satou, was the name of Odin, the God of omniscience. Such a convoluted situations, just tell me already whats goin on there? The genres should have been added with the Mystery tag, tho. Oh, well, right? The timer count at the end, always got me a trembled. Whats the deal of it? Was that even right? Oh, man. I knew it was supposed to be dramatic. However, the humour and the mystery vibes on these episode just beyond my imagination. Especially with that film maker part XD, then, the real identity of Hina. The calm day before a storm hit, eh? Idk. It just felt off already. An intrigueing direction, that gave me an instant goosebumps. But, surely its irritating me so much. I must wait and see, until everything openned up!

Well, left aside the unknown, its nice to see the development progression and some revelations toward some of the new characters. Thats right, beside the backgrounds story of Narukami's family, and her colorful members. Izanami has been revealed her past too with that quite 'not so good' backstory. Well, second episode in, the feeling already down the track. By mixing with the last piano musicallization, its hitted me in the right spot. I can't stop thinking with that too much. Especially with how the parents of Youta offends a little hint of Hina situations. Oh, well, true or not, let me just pass through its plot line until its over!

Its good to see Youta was not getting what he want in a flash. Because, yeah, i am pretty sure its about Hina and how she enjoyed her last day on earth. Not yet boy, patience is the key. You must be taken care of your kamisama enjoyment first and your cute little sister in an second that somehow, getting involved into an incident.

Alright the direction was fine, and the visualization together with its ost, already top-notched on me. Were they ended it in a great way too? Well, lets see! Thats it for me. 24 day left before its end....

I honestly am probably wrong. This is still disregarding Suzuki from the PVs from everything, and he seems to play a prominent role in the story, whatever it may be. Funny how he isn't in the main poster for this anime though.

I was trying to remember which Key story you're talking about and wanted to ask. But I have a feeling it's Summer Pockets and I'm trying to avoid spoilers for that. Don't confirm or deconfirm this, please lmao

I think it's actually the other way around. I think Hina "Satou" is her real name, but she's just been using Odin as a way to convince people she's a god. Of course, this is implying that she's lying about her godhood. You might be right. We still don't know what or who Hina is for sure.

I had high expectations on this anime, but so far I'm feeling disappointed. The characters are generic and the plot is too silly. It doesn't even look like a work from Jun Maeda. I hope it gets better in the next episodes, because I'm starting to lose my faith on this.

I think that based off of the scene where she noticed the music book and how she has delusions of grandeur but actually says her real name she might just be a very observant, little girl with no future sight powers. I think the world ending may mean her death (diagnosis?) and she wants him to stop studying because she wants to make the most of her last days. There's that relative/familial connection but I'm not sure how that ties in yet.
I think the title 'the day I became a god' might have something to do with the main character sacrificing himself for her in some way like a transplant (idk) to "take 'gods' place" and die instead.
This is just a shallow, quick theory and maybe there actually will be supernatural elements and it might go into some other time travel plotline or something but this is my prediction for episode 2.
On a side note, holy crap PA Works this show is soooo pretty and the piano/music scene was fantastic. The writing so far is great, the characters are nice and its been genuinely funny. I'm giving it an 8/10 for now but who knows it could go higher with a good ending (or lower if they're just baiting us with a good first two episodes but I doubt it).

I don't think that is it.I doubt they're being literal. And how would his parents know that? She could be from the future but I don't think she's their child. It could be he's losing someone in 30 days that ends his world or some other symbolism.

I really love the opening, it's just perfect
Also, i curious about the flower shown in the op, i search a bit and i'm not an expert but the flower resembles much of anemone flower which means it could be bad or good, but it's said persistence or perserverance.
The good meaning is protection against evil and ill wishes.
The bad meaning is bad luck or ill omens.

Idk i might be wrong (cmiiw) about the flower or digging to much, but i really enjoy the anime and the opening song, jun maeda you did it again.

Hina is childish as it can get. Those movie cuts were peak hilarious with the monotone spice of Izanami-san. She really upped the goofines among the characters with blunt comments. Feels bad for Narukami Papa to be treated like a free guy. Also Sora is addictive as its gets. ORE NO IMMOUTO WA KONNANI KAWAII WAKE JA NAI!!!

That cliffhanger has me worried real sick now.

Damn you Jun Maeda and your piano! The piece was great and I want to hear a proper, full version of it.

Time flew by, six days have already passed, 24 days left. Yep, this will be a 13 episode anime again.

Show has a lot of symbolism and deep meanings behind certain actions that some people can't see, really curious as to what they mean.

This anime is too underrated for a Key and P.A Works anime, definitely want to see this blow up like with Kimetsu no Yaiba. Perhaps when we reach a turning point in the story.

A part of me doesn't think this is it either, but it's the best I can come up with using what we know. Hlutur did mention that another Key work uses this sort of twist, so the odds of it happening again are low.
The thing with a personal "end of the world" is weird (like Hina dying) because Hina said in episode 1 that humanity's foolishness causes the end. Unless any loss or death is because of a collective people, I don't see it happening.

We're only into episode 2 and I'm already loving this show. =3

I've liked all of the Key/Visual arts anime before, so the style of the comedy that this show offers is familiar and is still pretty funny. Not only that, but I really liked the movie references during the filming for the project for Sora, Youta's younger sister. I did love her hyper reactions when she was filming and editing the clips, though. XD

Aside from the comedy, we also got a lovely scene between Youta and Izanami and her house. Youta tried his best to play the musical piece he had been practicing hard, but when he kept making mistakes, Izanami stepped in and took over, which led to a wonderful musical segment from her, both visually and audibly, too. I wish she'd smiled more, as that makes her even more beautiful, but knowing about her tragic past does make sense as to why she's almost emotionless a lot of the time.

The episode did end on a worrying note as Sora looked to be in a pretty bad shape, as her friend had to carry her home. 24 days left until the end of the world now...

Both OP/ED songs and animations were great. Nagi Yanagi's vocals feel very smooth and relaxing and they will be added to my iPod playlist as soon as possible. =P
